The location is great being so close to the center and canal district. The staff were super friendly and helpful with everything we needed while we were there.

We weren’t aware how inaccessible it was - in terms of lots of steep stairs (in an old building!). It was manageable but I think being more up front on that would be helpful for this property as it could be a huge barrier for some but worked ok for us (with gracious help from the staff with our luggage!). It can also be a bit loud - again old building - has SO much charm but also has the impact of being an old building. Manageable (and ear plugs provided!) but that’s the trade off for a nice central location!

Location was great . Just set back from Rembrandtplein and a mere couple of minutes walk to the tram stop to take you into the centre . The view from room 102 with its 180 degree windows was really cool. The double mattress was slightly on the hard side but very comfy . En suite shower was excellent and the bed was made and the room was tidied every day . Very pleasant staff. The outside street can get noisy at night but the double glazing removed 95% of the problem . We slept well .

The windows, despite offering a great view of the city, were filthy . Please clean them . Storage space is very limited for hanging clothes . Selling a 1 little bottle of water for 4 euros in reception when you’ve paid £200 a night for a room is unnecessary . Also, having to go downstairs to reception every morning to ask for milk was a minor inconvenience .

Room was cosy and perfect with canal view. We stayed in a Prem double, spacious and a spacious bathroom area which is through an archway with a separate door for the lavatory. The hotel is located just outside the touristy areas which was lovely. But only 5- 10 mins walk from the main square and shopping streets. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by. Hosts were welcoming and went above and beyond throughout our stay. Would recommend and definitely be staying again. Thank you

Nothing to not like.

The hotel was very central ( 2 mins from the tram stop at Rembrantsplein ) in a lovely building. Staff were very helpful and responsive at all times and the building is beautiful. Liked the radiator in the room so you could easily control the temperature and the windows opened too. Our rooms ( premium rooms) were a good size and the bathroom was well thought out. My room overlooked the canal but wasn’t noisy at night. Coffee machine, kettle and small fridge all in the room. Would stay here again.

The stairs are as steep as you would expect in an old Amsterdam house but the staff carried up the luggage for you so you didn’t have to carry any heavy bags up the stairs. Lighting in the rooms is pretty low level / would have been good to have a reading lamp or similar for extra light by the bed.

The hotel and room has beautiful decor. The corner room (102) has a fantastic view over the canal. The room and rest of the hotel was exceptionally clean. The staff were also extremely pleasant and helpful. I've stayed at every price point from budget to luxury and there is no guarantee more expensive means better for either. I've only experienced these levels of cleanliness and attentiveness in more expensive top end hotels. Very good WiFi

Not the quietest room if that will bother you. Sound travels in the hotel and you can hear the outside. As it was lockdown hearing the canal boats was quite cool but normal times I imagine the sound from the nearby restaurants will be louder. The lighting in the room is subdued which is nice until you need light. There are two sinks; one has a light but no mirror, and the other a mirror but no light so shaving you can only see one side of your face. TIP: Bring a travel mirror for shaving. There is a shelf you can put it on above the sink and below the light. Ladies might want to bring a lit mirror for applying makeup.

Check in was easy and efficient with friendly and helpful staff. Room was a great size with a view overlooking the canal as an added bonus. Bed was comfy and bathroom was really nicely put together. Location was great, 2 min walk to tram 4 and 14 which basically connects you you to wherever you want to go, and 1 minute walk to all Rembrandt square has to offer. Room very good value for the location.

Can't fault the place. Really enjoyed it and wished I could have stayed longer.

Location! Location! Location! The Frank House is not in the middle of mega-tourist areas which is a bonus because you experience Amsterdam as a resident. And yet the Hotel is right off Rembrandtplein with lots of restaurants, a vibrant night life, a short walk to the tram (which makes everything accessible), a grocery store and Starbucks within a block, and at the popular canal intersection where you can see the 'seven bridges'. It is directly across the canal from the Waldorf Astoria! The staff/owners are super friendly and accommodating. And the pictures shown for the Junior Suite #301 are very accurate - it is a great room with a high beamed ceiling, a great shower, and an eclectic mix of traditional and modern. There have been reviews about the loud noise in the late hours and that may be true for the rooms that face the cafes. #301 faces the canals and using "white noise" on your phone app will solve any issues.

The hotel is probably a conversion from a residence that dates back to the 1600s when the stairs were very narrow and curved. The owners will insist on taking your luggage to your room on check-in and check-out - however, it is still a feat to go up and down the stairs on a daily basis.

The location of the hotel is very good I'd venture one of the better locations in Amsterdam. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

The stairs were extremely steep and the thought of trying to escape in the event of fire ... Furnishing and decor was very dark making navigation tricky and adding to the sense of crammed spaces The mini fridge only worked when the card was in the power socket, so only when we were in the room, which was annoying. The mini fridge was on the floor, making access very difficult. I'm not a fan of coffee machines ( Nespresso type ) as they are bulky, don't give you a proper size of drink and the waste is enormous. I would have much preferred to just have coffee sachets to use with the kettle ( and fridge that worked whilst we were out to store real melk )

– Very friendly and helpful staff – located in the city centre - near to nice restaurants and shops – modern style of the hotel rooms – espresso machine in the room

– Not much light in the room: only a few small lamps, small windows and only a few plugs – Environment loud at night (but that's due to the party mile directly in front of the hotel) – No Wardrobe; only a few possibilities to hang something

The property was cute and quirky and had a lovely welcoming feeling from the moment we arrived. The staff went above and beyond to help with any questions and recommendations for everything from food to taxis. The rooms were spotless and the bed and facilities were faultless. I came with my sister for a long weekend and the hotel wasn’t far from anywhere we wanted to get to. The staff kindly recommended a local bike hire shop where we were able to hire bikes to get ourselves about and explore Amsterdam. We ate breakfast most mornings in an adorable little cafe 2 mins away from the hotel that came highly recommended. The hotel itself was situated on the canal and a short walk from trams to get yourself a little further out if needed. Sadly we had a little rain during our stay but the staff had umbrellas we were able to borrow. They literally thought of everything. All in all our stay was perfect, we cannot fault anything. We would definitely come stay again.
