Though the entrance is little more than an unmarked door opening to a steep, narrow staircase, with no lobby to speak of, our room was bright, airy and clean. Our bathroom had been fully renovated with excellent fixtures, and the cleaning staff went so far as to mop the floors each day. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the keycard locks to the outside door and room felt very secure. We enjoyed our spacious family sized room, and the location is among the best in Amsterdam, right by the museums and Vondelpark and walkable to every corner of the city, yet with a tram stop around the corner offering direct routes to central and zuid stations.

Long, narrow stairs might be difficulty for some travellers. While the room safe was secure, I wish it had been large enough to fit my laptop.

the check-in system is a major issue. we showed up and found the front door locked—there’s only someone there for part of the day. there was a number on the front door (same as the one provided by booking.com) and nobody answered when we called. we were ultimately let in after banging on the door. however, there was a mistake and our key cards became disabled after the first of several nights. this resulted in us returning on the second day to find we were locked out of the building. fortunately, the phone number was answered *the second time we called*, but this was still a significant issue. there should always be someone at the hotel, or at the very least, a number that is reliably answered.

The location was absolutely perfect, very central and close to transportation. The room we got was on the top floor with a skylight. It was my first time sharing a bathroom, and I wasn't too sure how that would go, but it was totally fine. The toilet and shower are separate and very clean. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. My room had a sink which was very helpful. Warning there are a ton of steep and narrow steps, so if you have difficulty going up stairs you might want to consider this location However, it's typical of older buildings in the center of Amsterdam, and once you make it to your room you're fine. Bed was comfy and I got a good night sleep.

Good value for money. Good position in the museum district, close to vondelpark too. about 20 minutes from red light district. room was clean, small private bathroom but can't ask too much for what we paid. Check with them if your room has a private bathroom before booking as some rooms don't have it and you will have to use a shared one. No complaints, if your gonna be in the city for a couple days and just need a place to sleep this is great. No elevator so be ready for typical Amsterdam stairs, two floors at least.

When all you need is a comfortable, safe place to sleep in a superb location; this is the place for you. It was clean, beds were comfortable, staff were great and amenities were as advertised. Its a 3 star accommodation on a very fancy street very conveniently located to museums and great restaurants. Highly recommend.

Slightly better black out curtains in summer would be nice - it's only dark between 11pm and 5pm - but only a minor issue.

So, the price to value is exceptional, you get your own room with bathroom facilities in the center of Amsterdam, sheets changed and the room cleaned daily. Price to value is unbeatable. The host was courteous and accommodated us coming quite late (flight delay).

I am only mentioning this to warn someone who is a light sleeper, the sound insulation is quite non-existent (perhaps an unsolvable problem in a cost-efficient way). You will hear your neighbors open and close doors, children cough or cry, and in the morning every scooter zooming past. So bring your sleeping pills.

For the location and value for money the hotel is fantastic. Its no frills and a bit dated, but it was a great place to rest your head at the end of the day. Its located on a quiet street so you don't have to worry about the outside noise.

We were in a private room for 4 people and the bathroom was a bit small and taller people will struggle to fit in the shower due to the slanted walls. If you struggle with very steep stairs this might not be the place for you.

Great location!!!! very good, hotel was in a street with very good stores around it, so youll be in safe and close by to metro, bus tstions, close from everyting!! the one thing was that in the check in we needed to call a number, no ring or anything was available, good thing we were able to do so because we had a connection if we didnt had an internet connection, then this would probably be a problem. Thats the only thing, but everything else, great!!!!!

The room was very nice and clean and the shared bathroom wasn’t a problem at all because we had a sink in the room and the shared shower was in a different room from the shared toilet so we never faced the problem of occupation! The staff was very helpful and kind and the location was very convenient (we went everywhere by foot or bike).

We arrived at 5pm traveling from Germany and we met Michel waiting for us who was friendly & greeted us with a big smile ( he even helped lift our huge bags up the staircase) the room was clean and freshly made up. It has an amazing view and it’s located on an elite high designer brands street. Michel handed the keys and checked us in and told us to enjoy our stay. Food & drink restaurants seconds from the hotel.
