Location is excellent and the hotel is in a little quiet oasis away from the main traffic noise but still close to all the amenities and a really nice park close by. Staff really friendly and helpful. The receptionist gave us details on how to use the bus to the airport.....really simple and so much cheaper than using a taxi! We had breakfast twice, plenty of it and very fresh. The little garden area to sit out was a real bonus as was meeting 'Basil' the Hotels cat! The room was compact but had everything you needed. Good value for money compared with the other hotels in the same area. Would definitely stay again!!

Tea/coffee facilities in the room would have been nice but you could use the machine downstairs anytime.

Easy reception, friendly and helpful staff, Breakfast fresh with fruit, eggs, cold meat and cheese as well as cereal, bread and pastries, yogurt. Be warned there are no cafes in the immediate vicinity. Perfect location, quiet but close to Leidseplein, Rijksmuseum and Conzertgebouw. Everythings pretty much walkable from the hotel.

Guest access to hot drinks, tea, coffee, chocolate , as we have had in Prague, Lisbon and the US would be a bonus.

Had a great stay here hard to fault it. Staff were wonderful. Very friendly, informative and helpful. Room was clean, beds were comfortable and the area was quiet. The location was great, close enough to walk to everything but not on a main road. A beautiful park close by, a spar around corner, and easy access to trams. Breakfast was a good continental style. There is a small pretty garden at the back of property.

Only minor things, like maybe a few more hooks to hang things and the towels and the bath were quite small.

I had an extremely comfortable stay at the Owl Hotel, highlighted by the presence of remarkably polite, smiling, caring, and cheerful staff. The room service was excellent. However, the free Internet service was relatively weak. The breakfast options were basic, but the ambiance of the garden view room added a touch of magic to the meal, even during rainy mornings. The hotel's central location is a significant advantage, allowing easy access to all of Amsterdam's key attractions either on foot or by tram. Furthermore, the proximity to a bus stop just around the corner provided convenient transportation to and from the airport. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a delightful and convenient stay in Amsterdam.

Owl hotel is a highly recommended for a solo traveler like me. The room os very clean 😍. A walking distance from tram and bus station. Easy to find the place from the airport. Vondel park is walking distance too. Great location, staff are very friendly and accommodating (Michelle, and other 2 staff I forgot to ask their names). Breakfast is the best! 😍.

I think there was an on going construction in the neighborhood when I was there but still I really liked the place.

friendly helpful staff on reception desk room was clean and comfortable. loved having a bath in the ensuite. location of hotel v convenient for museums and supermarket not too far away hotel is close to vondelpark so was woken up by birdsong and saw some green ring necked parakeets in the tree out of the hotel room window. bus stop to get 397 shuttle bus to and from schipol airport is only a few minutes walk away

would have been nice to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room

We have stayed at the Owl in the past and will do so again. This is an old fashioned Dutch Hotel with so many gezellig (cosy) aspects. The breakfast room ,garden and lounge are so nice. The staff is super friendly. Expect a small room , and a tight bathroom, but the amenities down stairs make up for small room,. The staff at the hotel was extremely nice and helpful. They were able to accommodate the bed request type that I had made, and I was able to check in a couple of hours ahead of time. The location was excellent. Only about a 20-30 min walk from the center of Amsterdam.

The bathroom was very cramped up even for a small guy, and we frequently lost wi-fi signal. I think it's because we were at the very top corner of the building. It also took us a while to get the thermostat temperature right :) Either way, we were able to adapt ;)

The hotel was very warm and well insulated during winter. The staff were friendly and welcoming on check-in and the process itself was easy. The rooms were clean and looked like the photos provided on the website. Location is great for sightseeing and relaxing outside of the main tourist areas in Uptown. Lots of public transport is within 5 minutes walking distance and the neighbourhood was quiet in the evenings.

The lighting in the room could have been a bit brighter.
