My husband and I booked the July and Twenty Eight for a romantic birthday break for 5 nights and we had an absolutely fabulous stay. The staff are welcoming, friendly and check in was easy and smooth. The room was as clean, comfortable and modern as expected and as photos show. Nice selection of books available to peruse. The kitchen has everything you need for a short or long stay, including a coffee machine [beware the ristretto is rocket fuel!] dishwasher and proper oven and hob set with all cooking equipment included. The sofa is super cosy, perfect for two people to stretch out. The bed is massive, duvet crunchy in the best way and pillows were next level, I definitely want this set up at home! We had room 326 and it was really cosy being able to sit up in bed and look out the window at the lights from trams and cars going past at night :) Loads of storage space so it was easy to keep the room looking nice and tidy, the cupboards were chaos inside but plenty of room for everything. Peace and quiet is paramount for us when we stay somewhere, and this hotel has gone to great effort to ensure that its easy to stay quiet late at night and early in the morning with a little extra consideration [which luckily, the large majority of residents in this hotel were able to manage]. The room doors can close softly from both sides, as do the wardrobe doors, loo seats, fridge [with a little extra effort], oven and even the breakfast bar stools we couldn't drag noisily! The soundproofing from the windows was also very effective stopping any traffic noise. There is a tram stop just a few steps across the road and we usually took the 24 into Frederijksplein and walked 15m onto Rembrantplein where there are connections to centraal station. There are a whole load of buses that stop outside the hotel too but we stuck with the tram for novelty value.
It was all just lovely, don' think I could improve on anything, we will return!

The rooms are big and spacious with working desk and a full kitchen. The breakfast is a bit thin but has everything one could ask for as a breakfast. The dining room is also the lobby and integrates a shared workspace which I used every morning. The staff is very friendly and helpful and are very willing to provide advice and help. There is a tram/bus spot 20 meters away, subway 5 minutes away, and train 20 minutes away (all times are by foot), makes this an absolute blast of a location. The location is very silent with some excellent dining options nearby filled with locals. I cannot stress this enough: one of the best hotels I stayed in.
The breakfast could be better, but this is just me being spoiled. You could always just grab breakfast in the city :) To get to the city center you might need 2 trams/buses. Public transport to the train station is a bit lacking (not the hotel's fault by any means), I walked everywhere anyway, you could call a taxi through the lobby if you wish.

Modern an stylish interior and very well thought through color scheme. Big comfortable bed in a very big sized room with couch and kitschy area. Everything fully equipped and working. Complementary drinks and snacks was a nice extra. Bathroom fantastic with a big shower and plenty space to store products. Parking garage available for additional charge. Only 5 minutes from next metro station and in front of a tram station, which will take 10 min to the city. Absolutely recommended

The hotel is very stylish and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Excellent kitchenette, beautiful bathroom (tiles especially). The receptionist was super helpful and allowed us to check in early and check out late the following day. We also used the sauna which was wonderful, clean and a very high standard throughout. The hotel was well connected by public transport and there was a supermarket and a bakery within a few minutes walk. Overall one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in and some of the friendliest staff. Highly recommended!
Nothing!

We really liked the stylish and bright interior, a spacious room with its own kitchen, which had everything you need for cooking and convenience, a wonderful spacious bed, a comfortable bathroom with a spacious shower. Friendly and polite staff, good location of the hotel close to tram, bus, metro stops and also near the hotel there is an Albert supermarket and several very good cafes with a bakery! It takes about 20 minutes to get to the city center by tram, but this time flies quickly as you look around and enjoy Amsterdam.
The only little thing that prevented me from feeling 100% comfortable was the lack of slippers. The hotel does not provide them, so if this is important to you, bring your own!

The July - Twenty Eight was just wonderful. It was outside the touristy area, though not that far. The area wasn't bustling, but there were a number of good restaurants close by, as well as a supermarket. The city center and main points of interest were just one tram ride away, about 7 minutes' ride. The room was exactly as described, a bit on the small side, but had everything you needed. The soap smelled divine, and I wished I had room in my bag to purchase some and take home with me. The hair dryer was one of the better hotel hair dryers I've used. The refrigerator had complimentary small snacks, water, and other beverages. That was a pleasant surprise! The staff was friendly and courteous. Overall, it was a great choice for Amsterdam, and I wouldn't hesitate to book a room here for my next visit.

Everything, and that’s an understatement, or rather a dire case of an undersell. Where would one even start? Hmmm, I guess it’s mostly the people working there, that make the most difference, and not any difference, one that alters the very fabric and the very core of how one would perceive this entire dilemma we find ourselves intertwined within, life that is, and life at a hotel…to be more precise. I’ve had the immense privilege to have stayed at various well-known establishments, some that have been around for a century or more, like the Waldorf Astoria or the Ritz. The July-Hotel Twenty Eight has surpassed even the loftiest of names, in its very neck of the woods, like the Pulitzer and the Dylan, on Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht respectively. And, that’s coming from a guy who stayed at those two, on dozens of various occasions between 2018-2020. All credit must be made due, to the wonderful people manning the fort at this fine institution. To Anika, for her kindness, attentiveness, care to every minuscule detail, who is undoubtedly a bedrock like no other, upon which many of the aspects that make this place so special, can be attributed to her. To Melinda the Great, an intern who I think is an asset like no other, who floats around like a bumblebee, with not a single moment of ennui. To Hamid, Abigail, Timea, Zue, Stein, Joyce, and the wonderful ladies from the housekeeping team, thanks for everything. I observed you all as you go through well and beyond the call of duty, and as such, wish you nothing short of the utmost luck, in every endeavor you may embark upon, and hope that every venture be yours for the taking.
Are you kidding me? 😒 nothing at all.

Room: Lovely room, nice interiors and comfortable bedding. The rooms are quite big so you do get good value for money here. Location: about 7 minute walk to the subway which we used to get into the city centre of Amsterdam. You can walk into the centre too, takes about 50 minutes via some scenic routes along the canals. Great way to go is via Vondelpark. Amenities: Big supermarket right next door which is highly convenient. We were also generously given a handful of complementary drinks in our room.
Location is on a very busy main which you have to walk along to get to the subway. The rooms do have double glazing so had no problem sleeping and didn't disrupt our stay at the hotel.
