Zuid as a location was brilliant, very calm and quiet, a lovely place to come back to at the end of the day sightseeing. Extremely easy transport links via the Metro to Amsterdam Central. The hotel was spotless, incredibly professionally run and the rooms have great views and are extremely comfortable. We found it very good value for money and would definitely return. Breakfast was brilliant and so much lovely food to choose from.

Unfortunately we did not enjoy the Happy Happy Thai restaurant that is based in the Hotel, service was poor and food was not good. We would not recommend eating there.

Lovely place to stay. The staff is very friendly & helpful. The location is perfect, with public transport facilities around 5 minutes walk away and everything you may need is an enjoyable walk away. They have a small self service shop facing the reception where you can pick up snacks, drinks, etc. and self checkout by card. Their pub is nice and their restaurant has a rich & delicious breakfast buffet. Their rooms are comfy & clean. All in all a recommended play to stay.

The room rates were on the higher end, I believe it was peak season. Would be best to check the rates at a non-peak season.

The Staff were all very prepared to go out of their way to help at any point with all my requests or queries, and to resolve any issues. They were also very informative and recommended some good restaurants, not hesitating to book a table for us. In particular, the Duty Manager Anette Bos is absolutely excellent at Guest Liaison and Assistance. She made the difference for my stay as I was unwell. She is one of the best, if not the best Hotel Guest Managers I have come across in my 28 years of travelling. The room was very spacious, clean and had everything I needed, plus a nice view of the water and a lovely square. I also loved the monochrome photos of George Gershwin on the walls. The breakfast is of a high standard with a wide selection of cold and hot.

The proximity to the town centre is a little far if you want to be central. Some kind of a shuttle service to Town Centre would work well here. The Car Parking arrangement on site doesn't seem to have a discount? It is much more expensive than city most centre car parks, but is very convenient, with access via the hotel lift. So I guess you pay the extra premium for that (Euro 80 per day).

Staff was very responsive to requests. They even suggested that we join the Hilton club so we could get into our room earlier. They switched rooms for us with no complaint. Room and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fine with lots of variety. Zuid train station was convenient within easy walking distance. We were able to easily get into downtown amsterdam which was good because it was cold and raining. Quite a few restaurants within easy walking distance.

Room needed to be vacuumed after we checked in. Staff took care of it quickly.

Best location ever, just next to Amsterdam Zuit station. It is located in a quiet, clean neighborhood. Personal is helpful and kind. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. I appreciated the ironing facility. The bed was comfortable. The importance and usefulness of the convenience of the little store/shop at the reception cannot be overestimated.

I missed the coffee machine.

Very comfortable beds in a reasonably-sized room with all amenities you could need. The hotel is very close (a 3-minute walk) to the Amsterdam South train and metro station.

I was disappointed that the hotel had no pool, but did not check beforehand. Although my reservation confirmed breakfast for two, we were informed that only one was included in the booking and we had to pay for the second one.

the family suite is so big clean and comfortable, the location is good and not busy at all, 3-4 min from train station, away from centrum by 17-20 min by car or train

the lobby is not nice, there are random couches here and there not for a crown plaza hotel the man at the reception who done for us the check in was unsupportable, we arrived after 3 hours car ride with 2 kids so so tired to spend 20 minutes doing the check in, there was no other guests at the reception only us, and the receptionist kept asking non sense questions even about the names of our kids, spending minutes spelling the name of my daughter on the card, and he gave us wrong information regarding the parkings outside the hotel, it seems that he is new, and when his colleague offered to help him he refused i am not writing this to say something bad, but just to enhance the quality of check in and make it better

The hotel is located very near to the Zuid station. We were allocated a very spacious room on 11th floor. The room was very clean, large clean toilet, lovely furniture, cupboard and other nitty gritty amenities generously supplied. Lovely bar cum restaurant where you can spend hours chatting and gossiping while enjoying your drinks and foods. I am very much pleased and thoroughly enjoyed my stay - it was a quite immersive experience. Cheers!!

Automatic debit of some charges and little hassle during checkout time regarding additional local tax which was clarified and sorted.

The staff are fantastic! I enjoyed the outdoor seating, the snack shop, and the live events at the bar. The built-in shelves in the bathroom were much appreciated as this provided plenty of space for my products.

It was an excellent stay. I guess my only critique is that the food at happyhappyjoyjoy was good but not great.
