Always friendly and welcoming- car parking is free and also stress free- no hidden charges -and on frosty mornings the bucket of water and window squeegee are a thoughtful touch. Rooms are spacious and clean and well maintained and despite being close to the road are quiet. I often travel alone for work and always feel safe and welcome in an unobtrusive way - reception staff are great and consistently helpful. Nothing I don't like, just noting that while it is close to NE Valley shops and supermarket, it isn't close enough to the city to make it easily walkable for work.

Reception staff were amazing and very friendly. They were super helpful with luggage storage before check in and after check out, and sorting a later check out time. The hotel is right next to the botanic gardens which was nice, however it is a bit further out from town, but still walkable. Room was very spacious and clean.

Hallway was being vacuumed around 9am with housekeeping knocking on the door at 9.30am. I could’ve put the do not disturb sign out however as I was only staying one night and checking out within the next hour and half, I didn’t think it would be needed. Other than that, everything else with my stay was good.

This accommodation was a slice of heaven for us as we had driven from Invercargill. The room was good and clean. Having a restaurant in house was also wonderful as we didn’t need to go out for dinner. The location was across the road from the Dunedin Botanical Gardens which is worth a visit.

Not having a lift but the one flight of stairs was exercise!

The room was big, bed was comfy, very clean, walking distance to university and restaurants, staff was friendly, and breakfast buffet with wide variety.

Generally nice, only thing is it was very hot at night with no air-conditioning, only a fan in the room. I suggest installing screens to windows and balcony door so we can leave open at night and keep cool without insects, moths, and mosquitos flying in.

Outdoor Garten, excuse me, Garden. Television was spanking new, loads of channels to my surprise, and the location was defined by Historic Buildings Churches and a Huge Botanical Garten, Unsere Kinder und die Mutti, (that is; my partner and child, wait..children. Meine Gott (My God) was like being somewhere in Europe. The Weather, although the Leisure Lodge could not control that, perhaps because of location, was exceptional. We visited in Dec-April, but will be returning for the Ski Season at Hawea, or is it Haumea. Sank you Sank you Leisure Lodge, we plan to come again, and again, and again!

Loved the property, but Otago Peninsula was the best, Northern Royal Albatross tour, sweet. Love the towns architecture and murals, gardens. Charlotte was fun to talk to, Baldwin St, Signal Hill suggestions. Great gal, fun staff, awesome breakfast & dinner!!

Love the garden grounds, peaceful area, just over the road from The Dunedin Botanic Gardens. Restaurant food, especially the dinner was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly with one exception.

A waitress at the evening meal was unwelcoming and uninterested.

We got an upgrade to an executive suite. Room service was friendly. The room was quiet and really spacious. Staff are always really welcoming and kind. The gardens are beautiful to look out on to. Easy parking which really helps.

Could have put heaters on low before we arrived. Would be good to have water in the fridge.

Comfortable room, was nice & warm when we arrived from the cold, great breakfast.

Just a couple of minor things in the bathroom: shower door leaves a small gap and water seeps under it, leaving a puddle of water, and the toilet flush is temperamental, but these did not affect our enjoyment of our stay here.

It was a great stay for my daughter and I. Enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed it there and it is a great location and it has safe parking.

The rooms get really hot at night, we opened the window but then you hear all the noise from outside. Temperature was a little to high for this time of the year.
