We were there for a very busy New Year's Eve. So impressed with the staff and enjoyed the food too--although I wouldn't have put two salmon dishes on one set menu. The same set menu the next night meant the choices were limited, and there weren't options elsewhere due to the holidays. However we both enjoyed the bar menu on the second night. Note--we spent 3 nights as we had the booking dates wrong.

As an older client I felt that the shower floor was slippery and that a rubber bathmat, available in the drawer, would have been welcome. I also wasn't impressed with the wine selection.

The facilities fitted in with just what I required. A mixture of hotel/motel facilities providing me with what I wanted, what was available to me and my own in/out privacy. A great combination and I will definitely come again.

Don't think there was anything I didn't like, thank-you. Just an initial confusion with staff regarding the AM and PM collection of my breakfast the previous day instead of suggested early in the morning I was leaving, i.e., 5:00am when I was being collected by my shuttle for the airport at 3:45am. No worries we sorted it out.

This room was perfect for us because we were on a 2 week driving holiday. The room we booked also had a washing machine and drier which came in super handy. This room was probably the most spacious room we had on the entire trip with a lounge, separate bedroom and large bathroom. The showers were pretty cool, you set the temperature and just pushed a button to start. Also the beds in the Distinction Hotels have been the most comfortable so far on our entire trip. Outweighing some of the really expensive hotels that we've booked by far.

Nothing to note of anything we didn't like. Great location, staff and again the perfect room for our stay for an affordable price.

room was exceptional, largest I have been in for a long time. I loved the shower/bathroom and wanted to take it home. washer/dryer was a bonus.

issues with tv could not be resolved so could not use tv. I am dairy free and gluten free due to allergies. kitchen could have made more of an effort with breakfast choices.

Definitely the best place to stay in Dunedin. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A wonderful little touch was the birthday card for my wife left by the staff in our room after cleaning. Then at our meal the General Manager Andrew led an impromptu happy birthday song for my wife. The whole hotel oozes class.

Staff came immediately to view the main T.V. that wasn't switching on. It wasn't able to be sorted properly but a temporary process was shown to us. However not a big problem as we left the set going while we went to dinner, and didn't really need it the following morning as we were checking out.

Perhaps a bathroom joining the bedroom, though were told we were upgraded, and I guess that layout is the norm.?

Room was spacious for the standard room. Nice and clean. Location was walking distance from central Dunedin and easy driving access from other places. The buffet breakfast was great - my child was very happy. There was a parking building.

I felt that the bathroom needed a more robust ventilation system. The parking was good and easily accessible but it was 25.00 a day.

clean room, bed was very comfortable, clean towels and extra face cloths etc. I liked the additional cushions and throw blanket I liked the option for snacks if required, I liked that there was a microwave, which we used for a heatpack I liked that we had a table with chairs to eat our room service from

Lack of movie channels, It would be good if we could link our devices to the tv so we can watch our our Netflix, Neon etc I just had to guess what number to dial on the phone for room service, usually a phone will have a button that states Room Service

Lovely spacious room. Easy to walk to many attractions. Friendly bar staff.

Some wine and spirits in the mini bar would have been nice. I returned very late from a tour so the bar was closed and it would have been good to have a nightcap without calling room service! Hotel car park expensive- I didn’t use it as I could park easily and cost free close to the hotel on the long weekend!

Plenty of toileteries, enough towels, etc. The room was incredibly quiet. The bathroom was spacious, well equipped and very clean. Plenty of blankets, and great touches such as slippers and dressing gowns.

Everything was great, the only downside was the Parcel restaurant - their staff and service were excellent except for an incorrect order (which was fixed), and a medium rare steak that was cooked as "well done" (we didn't mention this, decided to just roll with it). Otherwise the hotel itself exceeded our expectations. Would absolutely stay again, will probably just go out somewhere else for dinner.
