We have stayed several times before, we keep coming back as it's such a beautiful location, the staff are always extremely friendly and helpful and it's an ideal drive from Chch for just a night away

We were sad the previous location of the pod was no longer operational due to vandalism, such a shame that people can be so thoughtless and selfish.. completely understand why it got relocated after that though

One of the loveliest camp sites my partner and I have been to. We stayed in the pod, it was very clean and tidy and honestly exceeded our expectations. The camp site is surrounded by beautiful trees and a swimmable river. There were also two walking tracks only a couple minutes walk away, one led to a waterfall as well. Highly recommend!

Nothing comes to mind

It’s such a beautiful location and Michelle was very kind and provided lots of local knowledge. The kitchenette had everything you needed and great to be able to walk from the cabin to a waterfall

It was very cold! The heater turns off after about 20 mins and in July overnight it was cold.

Family with 2 older children: We visited Ashley park in the middle of winter, Girls liked the playground and watched a Movie in the common room. We expected it to be cold and it was. luckily we took extra blankets and sleeping bags with us and we used the wall heater too Great that the accessible Cabins were set up with a bathroom between each set of 2 cabins so no walks outside, Hot showers were great!.

Double bed mattress was a bit thin, bunks were ok. Wall-Heater would have been ok on a cold day but on extremely cold days another heater would have been more comfortable.

A very quiet, friendly, relaxed peaceful atmosphere. The waterfalls is an easy and beautiful walk after a heavy rain. Kayakers can be observed on the ashley River. Next time I want to have a go at kayaking. I will definitely be back in the future. Couple running the place are friendly/helpful. They let me borrow a pots/pans

No reception.

Its so peaceful and silent place. Kitcen and bathrooms are clean. We stayed on night in Viking Pod. It’s small but enough. Electricity was not a big problem for one night.

We got there quite late in the pouring rain, but owner was so friendly to stay open and welcome us on arrival, very much appreciated. It was a pity we didn’t see much of the camping ground as it was already dark when we arrived, would have loved to have a good look around and to stay a bit longer.
