The holiday park is well located and surrounded by forest. The bird calls were amazing. I only heard one train overhead, but it was early in the evening and did not disturb my sleep. The unit had a bathroom and small kitchen bench, with kettle and utensils for making coffee and eating. These were welcome as some of the other holiday park units in Picton do not have this.

The walls with adjoining unit are paper thin and the sounds from the family next door, particular the showering at 4.30am, impacted an otherwise great stay.

comfortable for a one night stay when having to catch a ferry the next morning. One queen and two bunks ideal for one person. Facilities a little dated but perfectly clean. Jug and toaster available, but no microwave. Location was close to ferry terminal and town to go and get some dinner.

A microwave would have been useful to heat food.

We stayed here 2 nights, 10 days apart. The first night we were very cold, the heaters are on a timer, which you have to get out of bed to push The next night we stayed we asked for an extra blanket. The owners were very obliging, and happy to help. Great value for money. Tidy rooms.

The heater being on a timer, unable to continually heat the room. Towels provided would be great.

The cabin was legit an old rail car, so cool! The beds were very comfy. Standing outside at night having a vape, looking up at the stars and the bridge, a weka came and hung out around us. Easy check in and easy check out. Toilets clean and stocked with paper and soap

Nothing really, just remember to bring blankets!

Simple easy access comfortable basic accommodation for an overnight stay. Clean and functional.

Need clear instructions please for check out. I and another customer waited in reception for ages to hand in our keys, but no one in attendance. Eventually went back into the camp and found staff who said they weren't in the office because they were "working"!

The location was really handy for an early ferry sailing.Very relaxed and quiet .Our cabin had everything we needed , town is just a couple of minutes away by car for eating out or takeaways .Can park right by your cabin.

There was nothing that proved a problem .I d say a full bottle of handwash would've been nice ?

The cabins were converted railway carriages, and while aged were very comfortable and quaint. The toilet and shower blocks were very clean and well looked after. I arrived late off the ferry but the key placement and maps to Find the accomodation were adequate and easy.

Water pressure in the showers could be higher

We stayed in a vintage train carriage. It was entirely timber-lined inside and was surprisingly solid and warm, despite the wind. It even had a little kitchenette.

We weren't sure if the overhead bridge for trains was still in use. We found out in the early hours of the morning - what a horrendous noise.

We booked our room while on the ferry on the same day. It was a good price for a one night stay. Close to town and the train cabin we stayed in had a TV, heater and 2bunk beds and a double bed and a little kitchenette. We had good sleep and would recommend this for an affordable no frills get away.

The property is so lovely but it needs a little care Thur the grounds and a wee paper map would be helpful with eateries and some places to visit to help promote the town ship.

I don't recollect having breakfast

There was no-one on reception inspite of notice of schedule given for 2:00pm registration. Involved a long wait for me & I was on foot, walking from the ferry with my lugguage. So the wait was probably an opportunity to rest up.
