I stayed in this hotel with my parents before getting the afternoon ferry from Picton to Wellington. The location of the hotel was excellent and the view from the room was amazing. It was worth upgrading the room to have the view although we had very little time to really enjoy it. I wished that we had more time to spend in Picton and stay another day. The beds were comfortable and the room was a good size. There were tea and coffee making facilities and there was basic crockery provided in the room that allowed us to eat after we arrived late. There was a lift available to allow us to get our luggage up to our rooms. The wi fi was good and standard basic toiletries were provided. Parking space is available. I hope to return in the future.
The room was a little cluttered with a large coffee table and decorations.

Very good value for money, considering location. Staff were particularly good and friendly. Room was a good size and light and noise were well contained, except the fire alarm when the neighbour burned their toast :( - that was insanely loud, and we were the only fools who got up at 5am to exit…
The beds were okay, but quite soft and springy - this is one of only a couple of things I’m very picky about, and it didn’t meet my expected standards. The car parks are very narrow - a large SUV barely makes it inside the lines, let alone with any space, and someone left a significant dent and paint scratch on my car.

Spectacular view over the marina and out to the sounds. Large room with two ranch sliders onto a deck area. Outdoor seating, with ashtray provided. Comfortable bed. Sky TV. Minutes from the ferry.
There was no way of getting into the shower without getting water all over the floor - the nozzle pointed straight at the shower door, and was not able to be moved much. The balcony was a bit shabby - the handrail was painted two different colours, as if one paint job had not been finished properly. Very small fridge, and mostly full of minibar stuff that we had to empty out to put our own food in there.

Beachcomber Inn is close to the Picton cbd, clean, great shower, and the bed is comfortable. Good wifi. Affordable and good for an overnight stay.
A very strong ‘air freshener’ smell in the room was quite overwhelming - it smelled like those awful ones they put in some hire cars. Very basic tea and coffee facilities and a tiny fridge full of mini bar things left no room for keeping personal items cool. The photos on booking site showing the view from the room were a bit misleading. No harbour view from the room I had, unless outside. I hope the accommodation name signage outside outside the place can be improved soon as it is hard to see. The reception person explained that it’s being fixed, but hard to see whether you are at the right place when arriving, particularly with lots of traffic behind you.

Was great location especially after getting off the ferry after midnight. Room was spacious and clean Handy to town centre.
No parking on-site left available to us so we had to park on the road in the early hours. On check out the receptionist was rude, didn't even lift her head to acknowledge us just said put it there - we can only presume she was referring to putting the key on the counter with a pile of other keys. Not great customer service vs the cost of the room.

We loved our view of the harbor. It was fun to see the ferries come in. The staff was very nice. It is close to everything.
The bed was uncomfortable and everything a little dated. We were unable to eat at the restaurant as it was fully booked. We heard it is really good so if you want to eat there, book in advance before your stay. Broken chain on door. Wished we had more room in the refrigerator for our thing instead of their drinks.

Great view from room, had two rooms with one room between us. So when sitting on the balcony we were talking across another couple. Hotel looks like it needs a little bit of love. We couldn’t use the restaurant on the night we were there as not taking any more bookings due to working on one oven! Seemed to be a lot of kitchen staff about as our room was next to the restaurant.
No access to the restaurant, no toaster in the kitchenette area. No tea towel.

Really great location given we were riding bikes. Rooms were awesome, but as we were only a couple could have done with a couch instead of two extra beds. Staff were super welcoming and helpful. Appropriate bike storage would have been great but we did manage to come up with a good option for safe storage and easy access. Picton put on a real show for us with the best Autumn weather and we had a very memorable weekend. Thank you. Would definitely stay there again. Looking forward to going to the Restaurant next time as it was fully booked on Saturday night.

Plenty of carparks outside the hotel, and very close to main-street Picton. We could not get a harbour view, but our ground floor room was easily accessible, and had a pleasant outlook onto the grounds, which were lit with feature lights. Nicely appointed, comfortable rooms. Storage for two bags, which is rare. Plenty of safe opening windows to cool down the room.
Look for the strip light above the mirror,, helps increase the bathroom lighting.

The room was spacious, well decorated & supplied with many additional extras. Loved the balcony.
I think it's pointless filling a fridge with things & a list to charge people. Most people who are travelling want to put their own things in the fridge so not much room to do this . All kitchen utensils/plates & crockery in the room including washing up facilities.....but NO microwave to heat anything! This would have given this review a better rating.
