The room was spacious and comfortable, though I'm not sure it was really "superior". I liked the view to the harbour over the rooftops (NB not waterfront). I arrived late my first night and was able to have dinner in the restaurant even though it was nearly closing time, and it was delicious. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful - a real asset to the property. Easy walking distance to station and port (about 10 mins).

It was good to have breakfast included but it was continental only. This should be made clear in the booking as the two staff I asked about breakfast arrangements didn't mention this until I went to the hot food area. There were lots of power points in the room but they weren't near any furniture so half the time I had to leave my devices on the floor to charge. Also, bedside tables are attached to the wall for two-single-bed configuration, so when it's a double bed they are weirdly a long way from the bed.

Room was too VERY WARM... we had to have the windows and sliding doors open with the fan running to get it somewhat cooler and even then it was not really comfortable. The bathroom door would slam shut in the middle of the night as we had to leave the window open and a breeze would come up and the door would go boommmmmm. TV too small to really see from the beds. Also did not see a listing of local resources anywhere - beaches, restaurants, things to do, etc.

We booked a standard and superior room. The standard room was in the main hotel building and the finish was far superior to the purported superior room which didnt have the cabinetry to leave an open suitcase or even a towel rail in the bathroom, just a single hook for 2 towels. Shower pressure was also poor in the superior room. Evening meal in the restaurant was poor quality.

Very nice helpful staff and a very convenient location. We loved that you could grab a bite to eat at any time of the day. We arrived at 3pm and enjoyed a cheese platter, crispy roast potatoes and beer followed by a glass of wine. Went to the downstairs bar and sat outside near the pool just chilling out. Would definitely stay here again.

Our room only had a small window so was a bit jealous of the balcony rooms. Very spacious however. No air conditioning so it was very hot trying to sleep with lack of air flow. There was a fan but it Didn't really help.

We stayed here after catching the ferry and it was just perfect! The staff were great and we also had dinner in the restaurant (which had yummy Malaysian food on the menu). The location was perfect and we were very tired after driving down early morning from Hamilton to Wellington to catch the ferry over to Picton. The room was quiet and well appointed with everything we needed.

The beds were quite small for a couple to sleep in together (ended up sleeping in separate beds in the end) but the room was modern and comfortable otherwise.

The in room facilities are not good. The tea kettle we had in room was disgusting from inside. Totally burnt bottom and limescale all around. I requested for a replacement which was given after 15mins only to be disappointed again as that was burnt as well and the black particles kept coming out a lot with every boil. I boiled water six times with hope that the burnt particles will stop coming out yet didn’t. So called for another replacement which arrived soon with Apology from a lovely staff. Finally was 3rd time lucky. I needed kettle to boil water so can use for my infants formula.

The location, price & facilities were great. The previous reviews weren’t glowing, but thankfully gave it a try anyway✅ Everything was very good, we reviewed an upgrade 🙏had great views, excellent amenities, comfortable bed, parking was easy and breakfast was just fine.

Just a couple of small improvements that could really improve things. The rooms have no internal heating control, that we could find, which is so unusual. We got drenched and were so cold in the constant rain, I had to request a heater from reception which was supplied thankfully. Also the receptionist was not at fault at all and did her job well, but a big confident smile and great welcome is something guests always remember.

The reception staff were very good and explained things very well. The room was clean and tidy & well appointed. Had a spare bed in it & decent sized table for the laptop. It's in a perfect location for access to town and has killer views (we were on level 3) of the marina & port area. The shower was great, 2 roses and simple push or pull on a button activates one or the other. Hot water came through fast too.

The beds were very low to the floor, like the legs had been taken off them? I'm quite tall, so getting into & out of the bed was awkward for me.

Vivek and his wife are fantastic and super-friendly hotel managers. They are looking after you and take their time to explain the facility. I slept very well, quiet and good beds. The hotel restaurant is highly recommended, we got a nice dinner even though we arrived late. Breakfast was included and very nice. The hotel pool is huge and the water is warm even on a chilly day. The location is in the center of Picton with nice views of the magnificent harbour. Free parking is easy in the hotel car-park.

Being upgraded to the Penthouse with wonderful view, which was fantastic. The apartment is spacious. Also, the manager was extremely helpful, and we felt welcomed.

The kitchen and dining area located on the lower level of the apartment was under renovation, so it was locked up. The manager was very responsive and quickly opened up that part of the apartment for our use but it still made our cooking a little challenging with dust all over the place and we can't find any oven gloves in the kitchen.
