Breakfast was great, only thing I would change was marmite to vegemite 😄

No soap in shower, you have to bring yr own, only discovered this when I was half undressed. I guess that might be normal for back packers but I was unaware.

THE BOSS, He is so good, he is so polite and he gave good attention and car, the bagpackers is just like a stay in your cousins, relative, or a friend house, so cosy, the bathroom are bit far, going alone in the alley i get fear huhuhu. there is a library, beautiful lounge, warm , good collection of music cds, you can meet many beauties from various countries, watching them walking down to kitchen, its romantic, (only for eyes ) ok , not to touch any flowers, the kitchen is very comfortable place to sit eat , drink , music and so on, beach just opposite , its one night drop at PICTON, i will go one day to stay for a month. cook my food, listen music forget all

Breakfast is little simple, no eggs, no juice and fruits ( iforgot to say that caretaker made brownie in the evening for free, it was tasty ,but couldnt thank him, because he was giving more attention to a MODEL like girl.

The decor is quirky and eclectic which makes for a unique experience. The cats are adorable and friendly without being too up in your space and the free dessert when I arrived made it feel like I was coming to stay at my weird aunts rather than a hostel. What really made my stay however were the staff! They were so welcoming and friendly. I really enjoyed my chats with them. Andrew was working reception when I got in and helped me store my surfboard in the hostel with no hassle. He gave me a great tour of the hostel amenities and even made me some tea! The cherry on top is how close the location is to the ferry

It felt a bit like being in a weird dream but in a good way. I had a private room and it was decorated very prettily, and the whole hostel had lots of interesting decorations and ornaments. Staff members were very helpful even with an unexpected late arrival, and the hostel is very convenient for the ferry terminal and intercity bus stop. Breakfast was simple but a nice bonus, and showers were hot and worked well.

The WiFi wasn't super strong in my bedroom at the back of the hostel, and the extender didn't seem to be working properly to help with this. Also there are 2 cats but I had thought the property was pet-free when booking

The hostel doesn't have the best curb appeal, but fortunately my first impressions proved to be incorrect! I received an amazingly warm welcome from the lady who I think was the owner. The room was compact, but had everything you needed, and the beds were comfortable. I requested a lower bunk, and this was kindly noted and accommodated. The kitchen was big and well-equipped. The free tea/coffee, breakfast, and little dessert in the evenings were all great, and set it apart from other hostels. The common area was big, with plenty of comfortable seating and absolutely loads of books! The hostel cats were super cute, too! Location was great, right in the centre of Picton, just minutes from the train station and ferry.

The WiFi was very patchy - no signal at all in my room, and intermittent in the common areas.

Not been in a backpacker before, we found the place to be quite family friendly. We met the owner Shea, and she was very friendly and accommodating and made us feel like family. Offered us options of rooms to suit our needs. Kitchen had great facilities and spacious. Multiple common lounge areas, even a piano and pool table. Walls were colourful and bright with pictures painted. Bathrooms always clean and had towels ready for next guests, everyone was so friendly. Location was great, right in town and 5 minute from train/ferry terminal. We only did an overnight, could not explore due to bad weather. I will return next time I am in Picton.

Maybe needs a laundry for ease of travellers. Rooms could be less clutter, although the clutter made me feel like at home Otherwise, Atlantis was perfect as it is.

Location perfect, close to the beach and hiking trails. Nice interior, little funky! Great people of all age groups and a lot of chatting with them. The staff also gave me a heater when I needed more warmth and I got some more bedding to have a softer sleep. They were really nice in all ways. I had a great stay there!

There were no separate bathrooms for females, so the toilets were not very clean. One night some people were quite noisy in the lobby until midnight and kept me awake despite the ear plugs. The quiet time starts at 10 pm but I didn't hear the staff intervening this. The walls are thin and all sounds and voices can be heard in the rooms.

Very friendly owner who even remembered my name the next day. I loved the decor - fantastic murals in the common areas including the amazing bathrooms. Historical piano and pool table. Two separate lounges. I wish that I could post more pictures! I was impressed how my towels perfectly matched the unusual colours of the bedspread in my quiet private room. Great, probably best in Picton, location next to the shopping/high street and the ferry quai (My outside photo is a couple of minutes away). Free dessert and free basic breakfast.

Can't think of anything.

It was amazing, the proximity to the ferry was great (easy to find late at night. The paintings everywhere were very cool, was sad we couldn't stay a little longer to look around. There was a sign saying you were welcome to stay past your check-out time as long as you were out of your room which is rare and very nice. The heater in the room was superb

It was a little cold, but it's winter so that's understandable But the bathroom was freezing. We arrived late and a Friday night (past midnight) and the owner was very drunk, so it wasn't the quietest first couple of hours. the bathroom sink was tiny, impossible to wash your face.

Very affordable place in a great location, close to ferry harbor. Many facilities were inside, including free breakfast. Atlantis owner was always somewhere around, and we could get some travel tips. She created a family-like atmosphere. Generally, I liked the hostel atmosphere, although for some guests it may seem weird. The room was comfortable, and the beds were too.

There were a lot of weird (sometimes dusty) thingies all around in main area and in the rooms. For some guests it may cause the feeling of excess or redundancy (and I doubt about their cleanliness)
