The owners! we booked last minute as we had a last minute itinerary change and had to stay in Picton overnight in order to pick up our car rental in the morning. Our host was extremely accommodating, staying open for our late checkin and giving us a late checkout without our even requesting it. Room is basic but extremely clean and has everything you would need, including great wifi and tv. Would absolutely recommend this motel!

Air conditioning was our criteria for booking. We have stayed in other places in Picton before in Summer with water views etc but had trouble sleeping with no aircon - especially in up stairs rooms. It was only in the living room but managed to cool down the whole place eventually. Separate toilet was great too. We were also offered the option of putting bikes in the garage if we wanted.

All double/queen beds need a bedside table on both sides.

Room was a good size. Bed was comfortable with electric blankets. Heating was good. Shower size was awesome. Good space for making coffee and breakfast Management was fantastic.

Highly recommend a decent extractor fan for the bathroom. Shower is that awesome, it creates alot of steam which literally drips off the roof and down the walls if bathroom door not closed. Showed signs of previous condensation throughout room from above problem.

It was very comfortable and the room contained all we needed. The instant coffee was superb as were the body wash and the shampoo - seemingly minor bur very important when used. Often in motels these are sub par. I liked their commitment to green practices. The people we met were very helpful and lovely.

We received a warm welcome from David the manager who informed us that he had given us an upgrade. He showed us the room, explained how to operate the room facilities and advised us on restaurants, roads etc. The room was modern, spacious and well equipped with spa bath, balcony and kitchenette. The motel was close to the main centre for convenience to shops, restaurants, galleries etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Walking distance to shops, cafes & waterfront. There is a supermarket across the road which is very handy. The beds are comfortable & have electric blankets for those cold nights.

The motel is on a busy street & the train line is very close to the motel on the balcony side. The bedroom is on that side & is quite noisy for sleeping

We arrived to a genuine welcome and shown to our room which was very clean and comfortable. The location was great as we were able to easily walk to restaurants and to the harbour. Although our room was near a busy intersection and train line, the traffic noise was not intrusive and there were only a couple of trains. The manager allowed us to leave our car in the complex after checkout while we went on a morning nature cruise which was very much appreciated.

Staff (Charlie) excellent host and even allowed us to upgrade to a bigger room which was fabulous. Slept like a log! Fantastic location too, everything was within walking distance, supermarket just across the road, room was tidy and warm and bedding clean.

Nothing we were very pleased with our stay, will definitely be back and have recommended to others.

Very spacious and comfortable room within easy walking distance of the train station and ferry. I got a very warm welcome with lots of recommendations for where to eat and a full tour of how everything worked in the room.

Everything about our visit, the owner was amazing and soooo helpful, nothing we asked or requested was too much trouble. This would definitely be our go to place if we ever visit Picton again.

The fact that we only booked one night stay in readiness for Interislander Ferry crossing back to Wellington !!!!!!
