The room was very modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable. We were really impressed with the lighting. It was very quiet. The location was excellent. We loved it.

The price on the website was advertised as "inclusive of taxes and charges" and that all major credit cards were accepted. Therefore we assumed we'd be paying the advertised price. However, we later discovered that we'd been charged a credit card charge in addition. This extra charge was dishonest in my opinion as you'd hidden this cc charge in the "hard to find" fine print. Therefore, your advertised price was not in fact "inclusive of taxes and charges".

(1) Location was super central (the roadworks were hardly an inconvenience - and I really appreciated them telling us in advance through which road we can access the property, so that we could plan for our busstops etc.); (2) Staff were absolutely lovely - it was my partner’s birthday, I couldn’t log in to my Uber Eats, and the staff helped me place an order for a cake for me to surprise my partner, and included a little happy birthday post-it which I found so cute and thoughtful! They also sent the cake right up to our room. Their mi-pad app is also very helpful for an additional key to unlock your room + chat with the staff about any of your concerns (and they’re super responsive and helpful). On our first night the staff also gave us a list of dinner recommendations around the area (and they were really good!); (3) Temperature control was perfect. This is something so basic but not all hotels get it right, and in the winter it was a blessing to have the reassurance that we could come back to a hot shower daily; (4) The vending machine with hot drinks (which was, to our benefit, practically right outside our room) was a huge convenience - I love starting my day with a hot coffee and ending my day with a hot chocolate especially when I’m out in the cold all day, and I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised by this amenity; and (5) Super smooth check-in and check-out. Also a bonus that there are board games if you’d like to play! There are also social areas on the other floor but we didn’t check them out much.

Nothing I didn’t like! Space could be a little tight but hardly an inconvenience given all the conveniences I’ve mentioned above and the value for money for the whole stay.

Mi Pad was exactly what I needed for a few nights in Queenstown. The location was perfect, everything I needed was about 5 mins away and it was near the bus stop for the airport and activities. The bed was comfy, clean and a good size. I'd stay here again if travelling on my own.

I don't know if all the rooms are the same but there wasn't a bathroom; the shower and toilet were just in the room with frosted glass doors so I wouldn't have been comfortable with a partner, fortunately I was on my own. It was also quite warm when I was there and I couldn't see a way of turning on the air con so my room was pretty toastie.

Really lovely staff! Friendly and helpful. There are clean and comfortable beds, great hot water and pressure in the showers. I loved that it came with a hairdresser AND hair straightener! The lights were also cool and it was easy to hook up to Netflix. The balcony was cool although mostly construction outside right now. The common area on floor 2 was exceptional!

I just didn't love that the bathroom was the entrance to the room and once you showered, the floor was wet pretty much through out when you were getting ready. The bunkbed room was tiny but all you needed..would have been nice to have a wall between the shower and toilet though instead of a curtain. But would definitely stay here again!

Mi-Pad is within VERY easy walking distance to the downtown and the lake waterfront. The rooms are quiet, rather small, and a bit techno paneled (overhead/mood/remote lights, temperature controls) ecccentric for us older (70+) folks. The 6th floor terrace is a HUGE plus- Loved bringing breakfast or evening beverages to watch over the lake and mountains. The free hot beverage vending machine on each floor was wonderful for morning coffee/lattes/tea/chocolate). EASY to walk to the bus stop to get to/from airport, Arrowtown! Would happily stay again.

There's alot of road construction going on right at the property, but it won't bother you at night.

Despite the construction work out front, the hotel was quiet and clean. I had a nice city view from my room. The communal spaces were nice. Washers and dryers on site. The free drink machine was a bonus (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, hot water, chicken soup). One block away from a major bus stop (bus to/from airport, to/from Arrowtown, etc.), a good-sized grocery store, and the beginning of the main tourist section of Queenstown. You can easily walk to the lake from the hotel, too.

It was all good except the chicken soup in the vending machine. It tasted terrible, more like hot water with a little chicken flavor.

The location is excellent. You are walking distance to everything in Queenstown. Very central. The view from the sky terrace is breathtaking. I loved taking lunch or dinner up there sometimes and admiring the view. Staff are friendly,. always greet you when you walk through the doors. Found them very helpful. Having a GHD hair dryer and hair straightener supplied was awesome :) Bed was very comfy Great breakout areas to go and relax in.

The construction everywhere in the area. The room is very very small. Quite weird and offputting to enter the room via the bathroom. These rooms are really more designed for a solo traveller or a couple. I wouldn't recommend for friends travelling together, not enough space. Not having a fridge in the room was a bit inconvenient but we managed. Lack of towels supplied, had to keep on asking for more for 2 people. There was an annoying light in the room near the bedside table that would not turn off, disrupted sleep a bit. Air conditioning was temperamental.

Location and modern amenities with Netflix tv. The free hot drinks bar is pretty cool too with ice cold water and ice to refill your water bottle.

There is major construction happening directly in front of this hotel therefore your access to the adjacent carpark is closed off. You have to walk all the way around the building to access it. Otherwise you can be like us and just ignore the "footpath is closed" sign and walk through the hedges at the side of the building and hop off the retaining wall to access the carpark. This construction looks like it will be there well into the remaining 2024 year.

The hotel was very close to town and convenient to access. Check-in and check-out are hassle free and extremely fast. There are also nice social areas to hang out and machines with free hot drinks. What makes mi-pad amazing though were the exceptional staff! They went above and beyond to help us when our airline (Qantas) lost our baggage. The staff at mi-pad would phone the airline on our behalf every so often to get updates and push the situation (we didn’t have a local number and were out during the day) as well as to check in on us each day and ask what we were doing. Generally they were super engaged with us and made us feel at home

This hotel is in a great location, it's modern and offers everything you need. Laundry facilities, USB charging and even Chromecast for the TV! The staff were great and everything was always clean and tidy.

A couple of infrastructure things frustrated us during our stay. 1. The doors to the rooms are heavy fire doors and they are so loud when closing! At peak times (late in the evening and early in the morning) all you can hear is doors slamming which is really annoying. Although from inside you can use the handle for a soft close (which nobody seems to do) from outside there is no choice. Given there is a Coffee machine just down the hall the door opening/closing is more frequent than usual. 2. Our bed was really squeaky! It wasn't that noticeable until you get into to bed and roll over. Although we slept well overall (it was super comfy), making the beds quieter would be a win!
