The hotel is a bit dated, but still OK. Close to Polynesian Spa and the Government Gardens. A bit further away from Eat Street and the bus stop, but still in walking distance. There is a huge supermarket (PaknSave) nearby. There is an option to opt out from room service. In return the hotel will donate to kiwi conservation. The room is spacious, two large double beds for 2 adults and a kid was quite comfortable.

The bathroom had a fixed shower head on the wall, not very convenient for families with small kids who needs assistance. Because the hotel being older, for me it would be between 3 to 4 stars. Other than that, nothing wrong with the hotel. The nearby Te Pa Tu spot on Google Maps is just the gathering place, not the actual village, which is further away from town. You'd need to book a tour anyway, and then transportation is covered. As with most hotels in Rotorua, or New Zealand in general, prices are quite high. Also Rotorua is a quiet town, everything closes early. The sights are all over the place, not as easy to get around as the other cities. Luckily there is Uber.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Millennium Hotel Rotorua and I must say, it was an excellent experience. The hotel's location, right in the city center, was a major highlight for me. Being centrally located meant that I had easy access to all the attractions, restaurants, and shops that Rotorua has to offer. One of the standout features of this hotel is the presence of spa baths nearby. This was a great addition to my stay as I was able to indulge in relaxation and rejuvenation after a day of exploring the city. The convenience of having the spa baths nearby made it easy for me to unwind and enjoy some pampering. Another advantage of the Millennium Hotel Rotorua is its proximity to the geysers. Rotorua is known for its geothermal activity and being able to visit the geysers without having to travel too far was a major plus. It allowed me to experience the unique natural wonders of the area conveniently. The hotel's reception also offers assistance in arranging tours and activities in the surrounding areas. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful, providing valuable information and recommendations. Whether you're interested in exploring the natural beauty of Rotorua or engaging in adrenaline-pumping activities, the hotel staff will be more than happy to assist you. While my stay at the Millennium Hotel Rotorua was enjoyable, one downside was the early check-out time of 10:00 am. I found this to be a bit inconvenient as it meant having to rush through my morning routine. However, the hotel staff were accommodating and allowed me to store my luggage until my departure, which eased the situation. Overall, I would highly recommend the Millennium Hotel Rotorua. Its central location, proximity to spa baths and geysers, and the helpfulness of the staff make it a great choice for anyone visiting Rotorua.

It was spacious and location was very good.

I have the impression that it was too early in the season, not all facilities were open, laundry room only had one machine working and our room was not cleaned daily. We had to ask for clean towels and toiletries. Breakfast room they seemed to be short staffed and after having to pay extra for a decent coffee I had eaten my breakfast and waited a further 15 minutes for coffee to show up. A little disappointed really.

From the moment we were greeted, we had a great time at the Millennium. The staff were friendly and the concierge let us know how to get to the communal facilities. The room had two large beds and the bathroom had a bath. The shower had amazing water pressure. We had a swim in the heated indoor pool which was a good size to do lengths. We had a spa also, which was very warm and not for under 16s. (We looked at the gym from the spa but didn't actually use it). We enjoyed our meal in the restaurant which was reasonably priced, served quickly and tasted great. I was surprised in the morning that the sun had risen because the curtains had kept the room very dark which I like. It's very close to town. Just a 500m walk to the Warehouse for all the things we forgot to bring!

No breakfast, room only. Clean and comfy bed. Spa calm and warm Staff were really helpful, friendly with nothing too much trouble to help. Although facilities are tired, they are looked after, clean and well maintained Good effort team. Really nice stay with you

I had a pleasant experience at the hotel, particularly with the reception staff who were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The lady at the reception desk was particularly nice and made me feel welcome.

I did notice that the furniture in the room appeared to be a bit outdated, and one of the bed sheets had a few noticeable yellow stains. The buffet was decent, although when compared to other four-star hotels, the variety of choices was somewhat limited. Additionally, I found it inconvenient that I had to repeatedly approach the restaurant staff to request coffee or tea. This aspect of the service was not very convincing.

Location is great, pool is lovely, room was good size - the balcony helped. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were good. The room temperature system worked well. It was quiet and peaceful. The adequate supply of milk and the separated rubbish and recycling.

The eggs at breakfast weren't great, or the spinach but it was just ok. I think more information about the breakfast options would have been useful. Our duvet had a dirty mark on it. I guess because of COVID the room didn't have an information book - but that meant we possibly didn't know all the things we might have liked to.

The room was good - nice view of lake and had a small balcony. Bar was very quiet but very pleasant. Had a couple of nice cocktails and the bar man was very good and accommodating. The pool was great - again quiet so very peaceful. I know both the bar and pool get busy but whilst we were there, we enjoyed the peace and quiet. All staff friendly and helpful.

Chairs next to lift with 2 mornings running someone talking on phone loudly at 5.00 am !! Ask for room away from lifts.

Room was comfortable but very dated Buffett breakfast would have liked to be able to get my own tea coffee staff were in attentive and "missing "to ask for a morning drink no bacon or harsh browns waited patiently after asking but none arrived so settled for toast was a bit expensive for what we got .. or rather didn't get would definitely not recommend buffet to someone staying

the bed was very comfy. The hotel was easy to find and in a good location. The room was really nice. Perfect for relaxing as we didn't plan to stay in the Hotel the whole time. Loved the heated pool.

Just wish the towels were easy to find for the pool and there was more signage as to how to get to the pool. We had to ask at the front desk. We did go first thing in the morning so that could be why. Maybe some more obvious information on which activities we could have gotten cheaper through the Hotel like a pamphlet put next to the bed or by the TV.
