Overall it was a Nice experience. The Rooms were clean. I really LOVE the fact there are NO Cushion pillows and that's on the Bed. Also I don't like the Blanket that most motels dress up at the foot of the bed. The reason is, it's not washed between guests. I just like clean white sheets and pillows. So that's what this motel provided.

There were a bit of cobwebs in the general area near the reception. But when we pointed out to the staff, they were quite appreciative and got it cleaned right away. So it was all good.

Great stay! The reception/manager was lovely and provided me with an extra heater (I am a cold person) and remembered my name each time we saw each other! I was upgraded to a bigger room on arrival. I was able to park my hire car outside my window which was great. You can get change from reception for the laundry facilities. Everything in Rotorua was about a 6 to 10 minute drive from the motel, so it was a great location! I was able to walk to my car hire place (RAD Care Hire 10 - 15 minutes).

The car park is a little tight, so you just have to take a little extra care.

Emily was helpful and responsive! The instructions for self check in was simple and easy to follow. The reception was a close distance. We had our own parking in front of our room in the first floor. There was a small mineral pool accessible to guests, it needed booking but was well contained so it felt private. Our rooms were big. It had a smart TV and our own spa pool, outside which instructions were also easy to follow.

Just some minor things that didn’t degrade our stay, but would be awesome for it to be revised. The beds were on the softer side. I didn’t lose sleep but not sure how it would help older quests. The shower box door leaked water quite a bit to the point we had to lay down another towel on the floor. There was some hair on the kitchen dish brush so just used a rag instead.

Location was excellent. Close to town and exceptional Restaurant close by. Internal Room entry was very well received and security and feeling of safety was excellent. Quietness was excellent having the blackout curtains was very good as we came in from a different time zone and were tired with the daylight saving and our body clocks not in sync so the ability to rest in the early evening was appreciated.

Carpark was a little tight but we did have a larger vehicle.

We checked-in somewhat last minute having had to move from our original accommodation due to a hygiene/environmental issue. The receptionist could not have been more accommodating, even willing to stay beyond normal reception closing time to facilitate our arrival. The studio we stayed in (#14) was sparkling clean, bright, spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen facilities are excellent and laundry is also available on-site 24/7.

The mineral pools were unfortunately being serviced during our stay.

A very friendly welcome and explanation of the facilities. Our room, number 16, was lovely, very bright and airy. We were in the main block and certainly our room looked like it had been renovated very recently. Spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel public areas, ie stairs, corridors, reception. We had asked for a quiet room and our room was at the back of the hotel away from the road. A well equipped kitchen including some milk for the teas and coffees, a very comfy bed and two Easy chairs, a table and chairs, plenty of storage and a lovely shower room. The hotel is about 15 mins walk to the tourist info office and main centre of Rotorua. 25 mins walk from the hotel to Eat Street and easy road access to the many sights. The cleaners do a fab job and we noticed all windows wide open after guests departed. A great find, fab rates and lovely staff.

Nothing at all about the hotel. Fenton Street is very long with numerous motels, some of which look very dubious. Thermal Oak Motel is situated at the far end in a much nicer section opposite the race course.

We didn't use it - but the kitchen was very well appointed, impressed. Quality linens and towels. Spacious. Loved the private courtyard. Was very quiet, excellent value for money. Helen who checked us in was very knowledgeable, polite and just perfect at her job. I would highly highly recommend this hotel and it will always be my first choice for my return. I liked the option that you didn't have to have room service each day. But the rooms were so well appointed we just didn't need it. Even down to a proper dishwashing set up so you could tidy yourself.

We found it too warm and struggled to turn down the heating - but then, we could have asked for assistance, but we chose not too - so our own fault.

This is our 'go to' for staying in Rotorua, which we do many times throughout the year.We always come back!! It's always clean and comfortable and warm in the winter. The hot pools are great!! Staff super friendly and accommodating. It has everything you need with a convenient location.

The parking can be a little tight but this is not generally an issue. The last time we stayed the neighbors were very noisy and were having a fight at 2 AM. It didn't wake my daughter but I was woken by it. That's not the hotel's fault as it's a boundering private residence, just something to be aware of if you're at on the lower levels.

The place is easy to find. the beds were super comfy. Staff was very friendly, pleasant and efficient. Little kitchen was convenient for having breakfast. Parking was available every time we needed it. Big supermarket is only 5 min walk and it is another 10- 15 min walk to the main restaurant area.

The location of the hotel was close to the road and if you are sensitive to it it can be a bit disturbing but in fairness the nights were quite without traffic.

Well positioned to be able to walk into the main town and to some of the key attractions and visits. The manager was friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean, seemed recently refreshed and the facilities were good. All information was clear and handy.

The geothermal spa was in need of some renovation.
