Clean and functional room, fully stocked kitchenette, lovely terrace with picnic table, each room has a private parking space right at the entrance, shops and restaurants nearby.

Location perfect - right opposite the lake and easy walk to the main shops and restaurants. Loved the size of the rooms - large separate lounge and bedroom. Nice touches, such as lavender bags and chocolates on the pillows, real milk in the fridge. Quiet rooms (couldn't hear neighbours). Loved the decor, while dated it was clean and very comfortable (lazy boy furniture) - reminded me of places we stayed in Canada! Very friendly, accommodating staff. My favourite place that we stayed in during our 8-night (6 places) trip.

Lack of aircon (but this was true in most places we stayed in NZ).

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment for three nights. It was great - the room was very nice and spacious. Very comfortable recliners in the sitting area, plush carpet, great towels. The location is excellent - a very short walk to the lake and a slightly longer walk to the town center with the restaurants and stores. The owners were very friendly and very helpful - telling us what stops are worth making on our self-drive to Milford Sound and even providing us with bandages for our blisters so we wouldn't have to wait til the pharmacy opens to get on our way.

Location was only a short walk to town. Furniture was comfortable with a full lounge suite. Having a separated bedroom was great. Furnishings are a little old fashioned but everything was clean and comfortable. Basic cooking facilities with 2 burner electric cooktop and microwave. We prepared our own breakfast and really enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable clean room with kitchenette close to town restaurants and shops. Great location for a tour of Milford Sound without spending 12 to 14 hours coming from longer away. Walkable to Glow Worm Caves boat dock.

Te Anou is a small town still recovering from Covid lack of tourism. Many restaurants, hotels and stores were not operating on a normal schedule in February 2023

Well appointed and very comfortable. Lovely little touches to make your stay special which we really appreciated. We were made to feel very welcome by everyone at Lakefront Lodge. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to anyone lucky enough to be heading to Te Anau for a wee holiday!

This hotel has been refurbished tastefully and packs a lot into a small space that doesn't feel crowded. Lounge chairs to look out the panoramic window and own outdoor area. 2 heaters this room was warm and clean. Plunger and coffee supplied. Allocated parking at door

One of our favourite stays during our 4 weeks in New Zealand. Lovely apartment that felt like home. We loved the little things, like the welcome chocolate, recliner lounge suite, lights over the mirror in bathroom, lots of scatter cushions and extra blanket, comfy bed, easy parking outside room, short walk to the shops and cafés. Te Anau is a beautiful little town, we are so glad we spent 2 nights there

The lakefront lodge has well-furnished, comfortable rooms and is a short walk from the main things to do in Te Anau. The room was spacious and parking was included with the room booking. The staff were very helpful during our stay and we really enjoyed our time here!

Dave the host was very friendly, happy so made our stay even more enjoyable. Location was excellent, close to restaurants, shops and lakeside walks. Apt was serviced daily to a high standard, would definitely stay again if we make it back to New Zealand.
