As before when we stayed the food in the restaurant was very good.

On our first stay the service and food in the restaurant was excellent. When we stayed a week later there new wait staff. The food again was great but eventhough the service was friendly we didn't get offered water, we had to approach the waiter for service and she spent her time behind the bar writing rather than asking if we wanted to order. However, the manager and his wife were very friendly and we will definitely be staying here again.

Love the location and old-world feel of the motel/lodge. Fabulous location next to the river, so we didn't fish, but the walks along the paths that follow the river are so lovely. We loved being able to take our dog, too. Having accommodation with a restaurant 😋 was great as didn't have to walk anywhere for dinner. Bed sheets are of quality. We will be back.

The rooms need maintenance done and the bathrooms needed better cleaning.

The location of the motel is excellent, just off the main highway. Very peaceful, scenic surroundings. The room was well presented, clean and tidy and had more than adequate supply of milk, tea, coffee and toiletries. We stayed here in September and it was very cold but the room temperature was perfect, the beds were warm. Good supply of linen was provided. My elderly dad was visiting from overseas and he was very impressed.

We were three adults so an extra single bed was provided which made the room feel a bit cramped. But it was okay for a couple of nights.

This Motel is in a nice prime spot! The staff are really working so well to provide exceptional service in the midst of the current labour and skill shortage in New Zealand. You can really see that. We really applaud the staff and owners for doing their very best both in the motel and the restaurant. Well done you guys!!!

Although I have indicated that the facility as average, please do not misunderstand. The facility has everything. It's just that it's a little outdated and tired and might do well with some renovation. But it's still functional. And we all need to bear in mind the current market conditions, it's not viable to get into major renovations at the moment. So although I put an average for the facility, it's quite understandable in the given circumstances but its functional.

Really good location near the turangi village and nice vibe all around. Good restaurant on site and great hosts with a smile and willingness to help their guests.

Newly refurbished so it was a bit rough around the edges. The room was generally clean but they could do with an upgraded furniture and some small seating options outside the rooms. There's beautiful views right in the morning and in the afternoon not being utilised properly. WiFi was horrendous and TV was almost an after thought.

Our room contained everything we needed to have a comfortable stay, it was clean and tidy. Nice and accessible to the river/trails and the township. Plus an absolute bonus being pet friendly so we could bring along our dog.

Staff seemed to have little knowledge on activities within the area. Appliances/technology a little outdated.

This accommodation is in a great location, easy to access and a park nearby to exercise your dog. They are also dog friendly for a small fee. Great as a solo traveler that there is also a restaurant available onsite that serves good wholesome food.

The facilities are a little dated but I could see refurbishment happening to some units.

Location. Great walking g trail ride get across the street. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Nice shower with good water pressure. Nice porch overlooking a lawn.

Very small bathroom/kitchenette area. Luckily we were able to change our room to one with a table and chairs and a more efficient kitchenette that had a shelf for the microwave. The sofa had a cheap thin fabric covering.

The setting of this motel is so pretty, next to the river and surrounded by lush trees which were changing to the most amazing Autumn colours. The room was clean, adequate and well appointed. We could have our little dog with us and she loved playing with the other dogs staying at the property. The restaurant was cozy and had a great menu and huge portions. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially the lovely girls in the restaurant.

The decor was a little in need of an update and towels were old and a bit thin and shabby. Also, the tiny carton of milk provided (with straw attached) for hot drinks was ridiculous... you needed scissors to open it.

Room and bed was spacious and very comfy and clean. The kitchenette was well equipped. Located walking distance to shops which made it very convenient. The room was a little old fashioned, but the shower was amazing and the room was nice and cosy and warm, especially as it had been snowing and was freezing outside.

The restaurant was a little bit pricey, but good service.
