Our apartment was large and comfortable. Our kids enjoyed being upstairs in their own "room". The staff was very friendly, and kindly allowed us to do a load of laundry for free. The location is quite good: about an hour from Tongariro and Taupo, and Turangi village itself has a decent number of restaurants and shops.

The shower was warm, but had too high pressure and didn't drain very well. Given the long distance from Wellington, I would expect many visitors like us arrive quite late, but the reception is only open until 6pm, so it was sometimes challenging to get a hold of staff. The sound proofing in the room was thin, so every night we heard all the conversations from our neighbors' rooms.

Staff was informative and friendly, room was warm cozy and accommodating had everything me needed. The amenities were great although we didn't use them due to us only staying 1 night there was plenty to do. I loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer no one likes to go home with dirty laundry and that everything was free no added fees to use any of the amenities as well as the washer and dryer and of course being close to town is a bonus and yes a good bang for your buck for sure!

Probably just the fact we didn't have time to try the amenities. Other than that, the room we stayed in isn't updated but I didn't mind it at all it wasn't a biggy it was clean functional and cozy so actually scratch what I said hehe. Maybe could do with more than 1 washer and dryer in the laundry room just in case its busy so no one has to wait too long. I think the bed could be bigger too, just personally although it was comfortable I'm a little well let's just say a little bit more wiggle room would be much appreciated for 2x fluffier adults 🤭

Location was right opposite the shopping centre and close to the supermarket. The room was spacious with extra loft bedroom area, large bathroom, lots of towels. I liked the fridge/ Hotplate, microwave so I could cook. I liked the spa and pool, and carpark. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly.

Table was very low so we couldn’t eat at it. Decor was tired with an areas that could be maintained properly. They are obviously undergoing a refurbishing procedure at the moment so I assume this will all be rectified in the near future. The cheap price made up for this for us.

The property was well positioned. The supermarket and a few places to eat were in walking distance. The bed was comfy and the shower had the strongest pressure in all of NZ. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool looked good and there were two spas. We didn’t use them. Hydro, a short walk away is great for breakfast and lunch.

It didn’t affect our stay but the property is undergoing a complete overhaul. The area surrounding the rooms is taped off and look sad. Some of the rooms are renovated and others not. We had a classic that was not renovated. It was tired but fine for our needs and very well priced. The food at the nearby tavern was basic.

Large unit on 2 floors. Spacious living area and two good size bedrooms. Both bathrooms were well equipped and there is a washing and drying machine. The kitchen was well equipped and there was air conditioning and fans. Staff were super friendly. Right in the centre of town so easy access to supermarkets. We used the spa pools although they were a welcome relief after a long day walking i would have preferred them to have been outside rather than in a small windowless room.

There wasn’t anywhere to sit out. Even round the pool no seating. They were making improvements to the external spaces which we were warned about so hopefully this will be better once completed. The bbq wasn’t very clean and it was at the furthest point away from our unit so we didn’t use it.

Reception lady very lovely and helpful. Was only here for 1 night with family, the room met all needs and was warm and lots of room as were 5 of us sleeping there. 2 bathrooms were great. For the price we paid for so many people was a great choice of Lodge, would love to come here in warmer weather for few more days next time.

Minor issue would be great if had sky channels and the tv reception was sometimes out but this does not take away from the great room as we generally not here to watch tv but to sight see or visit family.

We had a great stay in the 2 bedroom apartment, has a washing machine and dryer, great stay for a family of 5 and children friendly environment. Climbing wall and restaurant across the rd is great. Other shops and restaurants and bakeries are within walking distance. There was maintenance upgrade going on around the motel but they let you know priori to stay, my daughters enjoyed the pool access and was only a walk away from our rooms. Our last night stay I had an accident outside of the motel happend with my 2month old son and ended up staying in hospital in taupo overnight, my partner and other kids had stayed back at the motel so I had asked for a later check out which they gave and free of charge, they were very accommodating to my situation it helped heaps ease the stress off with being released early from the hospital day of checkout, only having one car and being there for a family unveiling aswell that day.

We didn't have breakfast at the facility, instead at a local cafe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal as we were visiting friends nearby.

The mezzanine let so much light in sleeping was difficult. I mentioned this to the staff who were sympathetic and said they were aware of this from recent comments from others , and said they were looking into it. I was satisfied I wasn't being fobbed off. As a result we are happy to stay there again. I would like to add we consider it very good value for money.

We were in a one bedroom Deluxe Apartment which was quite spacious and had all necessary fascilities.The fridge freezer most handy also the oven,hot plates,microwave and dishwasher.All in very new condition.The shower had excellent water flow and kept an even temperature.The towels are a good size and dry the body well after shower.The beds were comfortable.The motel is close to Turangi shops.

The last few times we have stayed lights and heaters have been left on in particular upstairs units.The Deluxe apartment had lights on upstairs,heater on in bathroom downstairs.Also when we put power at wall on for hot plates we noticed the oven was switched to come on as well which we immediately turned off as we weren't using it.Also in the early hours of the morning the Heat Pump came on at a low temp of 16 and we woke early and very cold.On investigation it had been put on a timer function.If staff could check these power sources it could prevent a fire and save money!

Fantastic staff and easy check-in. Parking was easy. Room itself was very spacious, comfortable bed and easy to heat. This place is an excellent location if you want to do the crossing (and have a car). Free pool table and table tennis was nice. Outdoor pool looked great but I didn't get a chance to use. Paid self service laundry available. Right beside a big supermarket which was very handy. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

Just a couple small things. There is a jacuzzi pool (two actually) but they aren't particularly hot and we're a little dirty which was a shame. Also we had to ask for some extra cooking equipment, some of which (chopping board) was a little mouldy. I found it quite funny how the hob's extractor fan didn't actually vent anywhere, just into the room so just be aware of that if you are planning to fry anything
