A brilliant team who looked at my special request associated with my wife’s limited mobility and looking for a view and we were upgraded to a perfect room with porch and bed views. Such considerate hosts. The room, although a little dated, was comfortable and had everything we needed. The extra large bed gave us a perfect sleep and when I had mastered the air-con we also had a room at the correct temperature. Recommend for short stays.

We stayed in a "Deluxe King studio" The room was a reasonable size with a good sized kitchen area and bathroom. The motel is a short walk to the lakefront shops and bars with a small supermarket nearby. There was an issue with the fridge and lack of cooking equipment but this was quickly sorted by the management.

The room was dominated by a huge TV, the biggest we have seen in a motel room. Unfortunately the reception was pretty poor so the picture was grainy. Not a great problem for us as we rarely watch TV when travelling but the room would have benefited from a smaller TV to give more of an impression of space.

Perfectly situated in the heart of town, this hotel was ideal for our family with teenagers keen to explore. Everything was within walking distance, from shops and sights to cafes and restaurants. The equipped kitchen made this apartment perfect for home cooks, whether you're whipping up simple meals or wanting to try your hand at local specialties A warm welcome from Karen set the tone for a fantastic stay. Her hospitality made us feel right at home

Perfect for Families & singles alike! Received vouchers for dinner recommendations for local restaurants, thoroughly enjoyed dining at 2 of them. Bella was a lovely visitor on our last evening which was also a highlight 💜 Alpine Motel has its own mini kids adventure park which caters for all ages from toddlers to 10-12yr olds which our son really enjoyed. Room was immaculate, shower pressure was perfect! Wifi was fast, beds were comfy and having access to the free bbq area came in handy for our Xmas Day lunch/dinner. Derek, Crystal and family were very welcoming and caring throughout our whole stay and for them to remember all our names from after checkin to our final night goes to show they’re obviously in the right business! Thank you Derek & Crystal of Alpine Motel for making our family Xmas 2022 experience in Wanaka memorable. Our family will definitely be back again!

Everything, from service to the room, was fantastic. Value for money and provided great privacy, safe parking, comfy bed and room was very clean with excellent facilities. They use quality amenities, the soap and shampoos were nice, unlike most places. Derek and Crystal were so nice and welcoming they really made it a great experience for us right from the get go. Such kind people, you can tell they really care about giving you a good experience at the motel and providing you an excellent place to stay. Derek even text me while he was on Xmas leave to let me know where I could find some milk. Also Bella (their beautiful dog) added to the experience as well! We also were lucky to get some great neighbors during our time there. Highly recommend this place to all travelers, we will stay here again when we next come to Wanaka.

Nothing, we thought we got more than what we paid for and they always looked out for us every time we needed something.

The price of accommodation near Wanaka Lake is high. The price of staying in Alpine Motel is relatively reasonable. The room we stayed had two dubble beds, a simple kitchen and a basic shower room including a toilet. Driving and parking in Wanaka is convient. So staying in Alpine Motel is a good choice.

The shower head was fixed on the wall. It was difficult for me to adjust the direction of shower water.

I stayed for 5 weeks to snowboard at Cardrona & Treble Cone. The location was perfect with parking out the front of my unit for easy loading and unloading. The bed was comfortable, the kitchenette was adequate for my needs, the bathroom was good with excellent water pressure for hot showers after long days on the mountain. I am a light sleeper and the entire complex was very quite so I had great sleep. The location was in walking distance to all shops, restaurants, pubs and and supermarkets. The hosts Derek and Crystal were absolutely fantastic and very helpful. Derek put a towel on my car windscreen each night so it would ice over as I was leaving early each morning. Derek went above and beyond when I lost 6 SD cards containing all of my snowboarding footage. Derek helped me sech through the rubbish bins trying to located my SD cards. I later found I had misplaced them in my room. Sorry Derek but I also appreciate the time you spent helping me. I look forward to my next stay.

There is nothing I did not like about my stay.

I picked the property based on walking distance to town and good flat parking for motorcycles. I also thought it was good value for the area. The large screen tv and heat pump were appreciated as were all the sky channels. The room was spacious and I love a couch to relax on. Visits from the little dog just added to our experience. We were also given some vouchers which we used at Speights and Amigos. You can tell the owners take a real pride in their rooms and from now on this might be our go to place for Wanaka.

There was a blip with our room being ready at 2pm, I know these things can happen but at the end of a long ride and being mentally exhausted having to wheel the bikes on gravel from room to room was not what we needed. Of course for anyone arriving by car this would be a non event. Also, for such a lovely room, the plastic jug let it down a little but this is just a pet hate of mine and from the score I gave is again neither here nor there.

We were welcomed by Derek from the start and given some real local tips for dinner, including where to buy the best steak! Also, we got immediate access to get our laundry washed and dry, important as we were on a tight timetable. The complimentary BBQ was great, we cooked our dinner and enjoyed it outside as evening approached.

Besides being very centrally located and professionally run, our experience makes it difficult to find fault, I'll very happily go back to stay again

Fantastic location, friendly, helpful owner. Knew all the best restaurants and even had discount vouchers for most of them. Shortage of staff everywhere just now but we were made aware our room could be late. It wasnt. The room was round the back away from main road, so nice and quiet. Bed was comfy, shower good and hot. Kitchen had everything you needed to make a meal. Tv had lots of channels and a comfy sofa to sit on was an added bonus. Owner even puts a towel on your car to stop it freezing.

The ranch slider had a blind that worked but it was black mesh(see through)and i didnt feel it gave much privacy unless you pulled the curtains too, which we did but it made for a difficult exit - not a big deal. The electric blanket could have been better - these are the only negatives i can think of really😀
