Location was central. Room was very clean and bathroom looked brand new. Shower was really good.

Like a lot of accommodation in New Zealand, no air conditioning. Windows open to let in fresh air but also let in huge mosquitoes. Closed windows but second smaller room then becomes too warm. As advised in advance, construction was going on but due to construction fencing, made it quite difficult to reverse the car in and out of driveway. Will be better once construction complete.

Great location right above the city center, all the restaurants are within walking distance and even one of the wineries (the Maude winery) was right behind the corner, so we paid it a visit. The lady at the reception was very friendly and overall super helpful. The room was very clean, the kitchen well equipped and the A/C was a great addition (apparently you can’t find it in every hotel in NZ). We only stayed for one night, but it would be perfect for a longer vacation. It it also very calm and I can imaging that it’s quite kids friendly.

The price was a bit higher, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Our studio room was spacious and immaculately clean. Beds were comfortable and with electric blankets which were needed on the night we stayed. The kitchen was well equipped and our room had a lovely open view to parkland. Across the park was the main road into town but we heard no traffic noise at all. It’s a quick walk into town and all that Wanaka has to offer in the way of eating, drinking, shopping etc. The gardens are beautiful. Our host was welcoming and informative about places to eat and activities we might enjoy. I have no hesitation recommending Archway as your home away from home in Wanaka.

From check-in to the requested later check-out accommodation, everything was outstanding. 5 of us in a 3-room chalet with a family room and kitchen. We were able to get 1 -1/2 weeks of laundry washed in the on-site laundry space. They had hot tubs up on a hill with a view, that we were sad we didn't have time to use. Close to Wanaka city center and walkable to some restaurants. The staff was warm, kind and so very helpful. Would recommend to anyone traveling to this lovely area and would return if we ever got back there!

Nice location, unit is large and comfortable. Everything worked, nice bathroom, nice bed.

The price! It seems that Wanaka is the most expensive place in New Zealand for everything , this place was no exception. This was the most expensive accommodation during my trip. There was no colander to drain the pasta. They have construction on site , so, as a token of appreciation they offered free hot tub sessions, but the hot tub works only between 4pm and 9pm, we stayed one night only so this offer was of no use to us

1) *'MAIN ENTRANCE to the motel from road** Need to be very careful if you are driving into the motel from the main road. This entrance is quite narrow (slightly more than standard car width) with exposed drain on both sides Widening this entrance ensures safety to drivers & prevent damage to car undercarriage if driver misjudged 2) need more clothes hangers in cupboard

We like everything about Archway Motel. Upon check in, we were welcomed by Mark who provided a lot of useful information about Wanaka. The room itself was well equipped and clean. Not sure why but the room smelled very nice and fresh even after 3 days of staying. The toilet was spacious and sufficient towels were provided. The location is excellent. Just 10minutes walk to town center and 5 minutes walk to 51 Brownston street which has the food trucks. Will definitely recommend to anyone coming to Wanaka.

The room size is smaller than we expected. We had 1 large luggage and 1 small one. Barely had space to open both of them.

We loved everything about Archway Motel. Mark, the host, provided a lot of useful information about Wanaka. The room and kitchen itself were well equipped, clean, and comfortable for our family of 4 adults. The toilet was spacious, and the location was excellent. Plus, the hot tub was really comforting after a sunrise hike at Isthmus. The motel is also just a short 10-minute walk to town centre. Will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Wanaka and will definitely come back if we have the chance.

We spent a lot of time in our room with a sick little one, only venturing out for one half day of our 48 hour stay, and we had everything we needed! The family room is great value, with room for up to 3 kids. The renovation is recent and really tasteful. Heaters in each room were very effective. Jacqui and Mark were very lovely and helped us with a later checkout due to a dash down to Queenstown emergency in the middle of the night. Boy did we appreciate the sleep in and slower morning!

We prefer a softer more plush mattress but that is completely personal preference. Shower pressure was quite light so just plan for everyone to need a couple of extra minutes.

There’s a lot of privacy as it’s a independent house, so you won’t be hearing your neighbours’ noise. it’s a bit crowded in the room as we have big luggages opening up all on the floor, the toilet was big enough for us to move around. The staff was really nice and friendly, we felt good with his happy and pleasure attitude.

However, the fuse jumped when i was drying my hair in the middle of the night, and there’s noone to help me as i didn’t wanna bother the staffs at 1am, so i slept with my hair wet, and lights out.. without electricity until the morning comes. It was quite a nightmare coz i was so scared of darkness.
