Location on beautiful coastal strip, sufficiently near Lagos town. Staff nice and helpful. Quiet and tranquil hotel.

Was a bit of a disappointment to our teenagers that most of the indoor spa facilities was closed for them. I understand the need to have children-free areas, but for a finn the idea that the Sauna would be off-limit to part of the family is a bit odd

cozy hotel and spa, with a wonderful location 5 minutes walk from the picturesque beach with all amenities. quiet area, plenty of parking spaces, friendly staff, comfortable rooms.

The only, but tangible minus is the time of eviction. Check in at 16, check out at 10! Usually, only breakfasts in hotels end at 10:30, and here you need to jump up so early, despite the fact that this is a SPA hotel and should contribute to relaxation. I hope this error in the schedule will be corrected to the delight of grateful customers.

Apartment is spacious, we got 2 bedrooms apartment with large living room as well as big kitchen area. It comes with all the necessary kitchenwares if you want to cook some meals yourself. But we spent most of the time eating out as restaurants around the area offer a very tasty foods at reasonable price. Location of the Belmar Spa is very close to the very nice beach (Porto de Mos - Praia de Porto Mos), just 3 minutes walk from the apartment, and also close to Lagos old town (roughly 5 - 7 mins drive from the apartment) where you can find historical sites, bars, restaurants, shops, etc. and also a must do Kayaking (guided kayaking - a big boat will tow a group of kayaks to the safe area and guide you through the caves and tow you back to the port), start at the Lagos port (in the old town area) which you can kayak and view the beautiful caves from Estudantes beach (Praia dos Estudantes) to the Ponta da Piedade. I strongly recommend this activity, you will not regret. The cost os 35 Eur per person, but it is worth it. Restaurant inside the resort is very nice, offering a great foods and amazing view of the beach. Breakfast is fantastic, with many options on the menu for you to choose as well as buffet bar. Nearby outside, there are 2 very nice restaurants at the beach (Campimar & O Antonio) - you should book a table in advance for dinner, as these 2 restaurants are often fully booked for dinner.

One of the pools (the one just outside of our apartment) was under renovation, but we knew it prior to booking so it wasn't a surprise to us. Wifi in the room was great, but Wifi in the common area such as restaurant was very slow, though it doesn't bother us so much as we have 5G.

It's a fantastic location and a beautiful resort. There are several pools although most allow children. The dinner was ok but the location is really what it has going for it! Gym and spa were great. Would return.

We didn't even notice until day 3 that there were real pillows for the beds! They just had decorative couch pillows on the beds that were awful but the real pillows were hidden in the back side of the closet. I got badly burnt (second degree) in the sauna because they had a broken heart vent at ankle height and had left the sauna on still even though they knew about the issue. All I got was a "sorry, we'll call again to have it fixed". The dinner was overpriced for what it was and I would definitely recommend many other local restaurants instead. The heated indoor pool was over treated with chemicals and burnt our eyes just sitting in it for a few minutes. Just seems like a poorly maintained resort but the location was great and rooms were reasonable for the price.

We stayed in a 2-room apartment. Everything is new and well equipped, very clean, and great big balcony with ocean view. Very short distance to the beach and great pools. Since we didn't have a meal option and had a kitchen in the apt, I can't tell the food there, though.

We wished to have instructions written around the appliances, We did guess a lot to work those. We used Uber all the time to go to downtown for groceries and activities. However, the fare became expensive in late evening and not available frequently.

The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful ocean view. the is a supermarket a short drive away where we bought breakfast items. we had easy access to the pools and the beach was a few minute walk away. The drive to town was 10-15 minutes.

We ate dinner at the restaurant one night. It was was average. We were met by an unfriendly person at checkin who insisted that our reservation did not have a time on it. The orders weren’t correct, the food and drinks took a long time to arrive, and the food was not cooked as ordered even though the server repeated the order to make sure it was correct. Eat in town or make reservations at one of the restaurants on the beach.

Property looked just like the photos. Was clean and lots of pools meant it didn’t feel crowded.

Staff was nice for the most part, except when I checked in, they didn’t help me with my bags and when I asked if I could borrow a cart so I could at least take my luggage to the room myself the man just said I wasn’t allowed to, and he didn’t offer any other help or solution even though I clearly needed help. He literally just told me I would need to make multiple trips for my bags, which I found a bit rude especially considering my room was not that close to the reception.

Beautiful location near the beach. A short drive away from central Lagos. Set in lovely grounds and very well presented. Tropical flowers and palm trees make it feel quite exotic. Good facilities. Pools for each area. Plus an indoor pool and Spa. We had a large apartment with 2 bedrooms Very quiet and spacious.. Very well equipped kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher ( detergents supplied). Coffee maker ( espresso type) with a few pods to start with. Kitchen roll and washing up liquid provided. Large balcony with table and 4 chairs. We found the staff to be helpful and pleasant.

The beach towel policy is very strict. Only 1 towel per person per day. You’ve got to sign for them on each occasion at the spa area. The bathroom toiletries are basic. Just hand wash and body/ hair wash in dispensers. Plastic shower hats provided. No hair conditioner,body lotion or tissues. No luxury products. Bathrooms ( we had 2) need a bit of attention. Seals and grouting looked tired and had mildew. Safe in room needs a key to open it, provided at reception at extra cost. Room service was only provided twice a week. So limited number of towels and toilet rolls. I had to mop our tile floors to keep them clean ( mop and bucket provided!)

The apartment was comfortable and of a generous size. The balcony itself was spacious and it was always possible to find a spot there in the shade. The beach was much bigger than we thought it would be - not too busy and very clean.

On the whole, there was a good range of equipment in the kitchen but there could have been a better supply of dishes and cutlery. The hill from the beach up to the hotel and beyond is quite steep - this wasn't a problem for us but it could be for someone of reduced mobility. In comparison to other smaller hotels that we have visited, there seemed to be a bit less of a personal touch.

Restaurant Mamager was very amiable and started our day off with a smile. Bar and pool bar food was much better quality and seemed more accessible than in previous years. Love the proximity to the beach and ease of access. Views from 2 bed apartment was lovely. Pool areas well maintained and beds always available. Main reception and lobby is a nice area but do feel that switching around the reception desk to lobby bar and making a more meaningful bar from the existing reception area
