Comfortable, quiet, decent-sized, well-furnished room with all necessary facilities. Excellent choice of items available at the buffet breakfast including bacon, beans and scrambled eggs. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Well decorated public space areas gave the hotel a character. Plentiful car parking space. Overall, very good value for money.

This hotel was wonderful from the moment we checked in. We were welcomed like we were family :) George was at the front desk and let us know if we needed anything at all to let him know. We were pleased with our room, and getting the 2 beds we had asked for. A plus was the nice sized balcony with a table and chairs. Lina and her staff are very gracious and kind. The breakfast they prepared that was included in our stay was great! Not many hotels we looked at offered that. There was lots of variety of hot and cold entrees plus desserts. Everyone in the breakfast room loved the multi-option coffee machine! The gardens around the hotel are lovely and well kept, like the pool. The hotel is unique and in a nice neighborhood. We felt safe and it's really quiet. A 15 minute walk takes you into town for shopping, restaurants and more

Honestly there wasn't anything I didn't like. This hotel has many guests that return year after year..

Staff are so nice and really took the time to make us feel welcome, tell us about Lagos etc. We stayed in a room in the third block which we really recommend, room was incredibly spacious, comfortable and clean (and a second pool there too!). Breakfast was plentiful and incredibly welcome, with constant efforts to replenish and keep the place clean. Would 100% be back on returns to Lagos.

a very well run hotel with a welcoming helpful staff, nice pool area and a good breakfast. the location is both a plus and minus. it is a quiet residential area but also a 20 minute gently downhill walk to the old town and a 10 minute steeper walk to the nearest beach. dinner is available at the hotel and the food is good but you have only two choices and have to let them know by noon. fortunately Uber is readily available so walk down for dinner and Uber back

in my bathroom the toilet was directly behind the door and the shower tended to get water on the floor despite a glass partition

This was our third time staying at Solar de Mos. The room was good, the bed was comfortable, and it was cleaned every day, so it was spotless. The terrace gives you the option to spend the evenings in the open air, enjoying the calm and quiet environment, or the beautiful sunset and the sound of the ocean in the distance. The hotel is located in Lagos, which is a beautiful and historic town to walk around, with plenty of restaurants and cafes. Ponta da Piedade is just a walking distance from the hotel, so much worth walking around. Lagos is also a very good starting point to explore many more nice places at the seaside or in the mountains, such as Luz, Alvor, Portimao, Carvoeiro, Ferragudo, Silves, Loule, Monchique, Sagres and the west coast of Algarve (Costa Vincentina). Not too far away from the nice places in Eastern Algarve either. Visiting Tavira, Santa Luzia, Olheao, Via Formosa. Both Solar de Mos Hotel and Lagos are highly recommended. No words to praise enough the staff, all of them so friendly, accommodating and helpful. All the three times, they arranged for us rent a car, helped with advice on places to visit and things to do. Just chatting with them was also such a pleasure. For sure, we would be back.

Some guest from neighboring rooms were too noisy when coming back in the evening or leaving in the morning. However, this is not something we could blame the hotel or the staff for.

Perfect. Small hotel, great location, walking distance to Lagos town and several nice beaches. 10mins closest beach which is very nice and 20 mins to the town. The rooms are clean, good breakfast and pool, which was hardly used while we were there!

The only issue was Wi-Fi. I needed to join a couple of work teams meetings and the the Wi-Fi wasn’t up to it so had to connect on mobile. This must be so easy to fix, so a little annoying!

Very pleasant and peaceful little hotel with very friendly staff. The grounds are lovely and well kept as is the interior of the hotel. The location is nicely tucked away on the outskirts of Lagos so a car is required.

The bathroom shower screen leaked which created pools of water on the bathroom floor, a slip hazard that could be quickly and easily rectified .

The greeting by Leandro was amazing and Room 105 with its large balcony was tremendous and very comfortable. Owner is lovely as is the staff. We found location convenient as we are walkers and walked everywhere (to hikes, into old city, to Camilo beach and Dona Ana beach). We enjoyed the breakfasts and the jacuzzi. We were referred by fellow travelers and it was a great choice. so much so we even extended our stay

The main hotel is not new, but well maintained. Everything works fine and it’s well organized. The staff are exceptional. Every one of them.

Wifi in the room was not great, some area of the room it worked well, some areas not That’s all, a very minor thing

The hotel was very welcoming and situated in a very nice area of Lagos, not too close but not too far away from the center either. Supermarket, some amazing restaurants for lunch and dinner were within 5 min walking distance. The swimming pool of the facility was for sure the highlight, it was very clean and never really busy. It felt like we had a private pool to ourselves sometimes. Breakfast was good as well, and the staff was always willing to help. The closest beach (Porto de Mos) was 10 min walking, but it was one of the cleanest beaches of Lagos, so we were very satisfied!
