This is a very nice hotel in a great location. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was very good, a great selection and variety of foods available. The hotel has a lovely courtyard garden which was ideal for breakfast. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was excellent, someone in the kitchen really knows how to cook food! One of the best things about this hotel is the staff, they really go the extra mile to make the guests feel welcome.

Given my review so far why am I not rating the hotel higher? For me the hotel was let down by the finish of the bedroom and bathroom. The room was furnished with more style than substance. The bed was very comfortable but there was insufficient wardrobe and drawer space. The bathroom had no drawers or storage space. The shower is in the bath with the shower controls difficult to use. The toilet seat was cheap and not self closing! It was not a 5 star bathroom. This would be a great hotel if the bedroom and bathrooms were improved.

The breakfast was lovely. The hotel is modern and elegant. The location is perfect, right in the heart of things and accessible to shopping, restaurants and attractions are a quick walk or Uber ride away.

The only thing I did NOT like was the bed. It was hard, poor quality and extremely uncomfortable. For such a beautiful upscale property I expected better quality mattresses.

Fontecruz Lisboa is a lovely boutique hotel, with cool decor . The hotel is well located close to city centre & popular sights . The rooms are very clean & comfortable . The staff are all very helpful & friendly , the concierge & reception staff are excellent in giving good suggestions for restaurants & places to visit . Breakfast is excellent .

-i liked the location, almost in city center in a lux neighborhood -i arrived earlier, and when the room was ready, i could check-in earlier -very friendly personnel -the first day i was invited by hotel to taste a bottle of Portuguese wine, Bridão Clássico, in its restaurant. it was amazing. -cleaning the room on a daily basis -my room had a balcony -the room was very big with a unique decoration -i found 2 times chocolate on my bed as i returned back to the room -a very kind lady at Bistrôa Restaurant of hotel, suggested me some good veggie/vegan restaurants in Lisboa -breakfast was ok

-as far as i know, just one restaurant and no swimming pool -breakfast was good but everyday almost the same. would be better if some fresh vegetables be added to breakfast buffet

A 5 Star hotel with a 6 Star Service, 138 Liberdade Hotel is indeed a gem in the hospitality industry. Our maiden trip to Lisbon from 16th – 19th Aug 2023, to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday turned out to be really special because of the par excellence treatment we received. The suite that we stayed in was spacious and comfortable with a whole host of amenities that truly made us feel at home. The food in the in-house restaurant was delicious and skillfully prepared. We definitely recommend dining in. Kudos and a BIG Thank YOU to Rita, Renato, Giulia, Ricardo, Felipe, Bom and the talented pianist Romulo. You made us feel like family. Was an excellent experience, nothing to improve on.

Our first visit to Lisbon exceeded our expectations and a lot of credit goes to the staff at the 138 Liberdade Hotel. Ill start with the breakfast which was excellent, and in the event you want anything not covered in the buffet, they will make it for you. Everyone we interacted with was very professional and knowledgeable about the city to provide great recommendations. Rita scheduled a private driver for the day to introduce us to the area and it was an excellent experience as well. And you will not find a better location just outside the downtown area, so you miss the nose and just make a left turn and walk 2 blocks. We will certainly return to this property when we return to Lisbon.

The only issue would be the rooms electricity turns off when you leave so if you are charging your backup batteries or want the air on when you return thats an issue.

On arrival we were greeted by concierge who assisted with unloading luggage from taxi. The very friendly & efficient receptionist, Ines, welcomed us forward and completed check in formalities. Despite being 2 hours early for check in, we were given complementary drinks in the lovely outside garden which was attached to the bar/snack bar & breakfast area whilst our room was being prepared. Bags were already in the room when it was ready for us enter only 20 minutes later. The spacious deluxe bedroom with balcony was better than expected - We had thought that it may only be a Juliette Balcony so were delighted to find a large terrace equipped with sun beds, table and sunshade. After a shopping trip we returned to have a drink & snack at the bar - The club sandwich ordered was especially delicious. Breakfast was also very good. All the staff appeared friendly and helpful which contributed significantly to an enjoyable stay. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Not the hotel’s fault but the roadworks on the Avenida made access difficult.

The hotel is very well situated close to the heart of Lisbon (loads of shopping around, as a bonus, its right opposite of one of the best seafood restaurants in town), offers valet parking and has a very modern style with spacious rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast had a wide selection and was enjoyable.

We paid a little extra for a room with balcony which was a somewhat pointless as it's facing the backyard and is surrounded by other buildings (as well as some kitchen exhaust). May be on one of the higher floors, this would have been more valuable.

This hotel was TOP notch!! It was so nice, and so clean. The rooms were beautiful and beds comfy. Lobby, dining and outdoor patio area were just stunning. Food was amazing. And the staff....WOW. So kind and generous. Accommodated all my needs and questions about the area. Seriously so helpful! I felt very safe there being out of my home country traveling alone. It was located along one of the main city center streets, surrounded by amazing high end shops. Short walk to the City Center and the river area. This was probably one of the nicest hotels, and cities I have ever been. 10/10!!
