This was our first time in Lisbon. We travelled from Porto so we were glad to see a friendly face at the door waiting to take our car & help with luggage. We got a beautiful room with great views of the area. We were celebrating my boyfriends birthday & he was delighted to see a small cake waiting in the room after our long drive from Porto (thank you!) the room was beautifully designed - loved the bathroom with great lighting & mirrors to do make up. We had cocktails at the bar (very friendly & helpful bar staff!). The cocktails were very refreshing & we enjoyed the bar snacks. We ate our evening meal at the restaurant - it’s one of the best restaurants I’ve ate at (we had the pork cheek & dry aged fillet - incredible!). When we came back from exploring the city centre we noticed our slippers had been placed beside the bed along with camomile tea -such a nice touch . The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. I really hope this review will do our wonderful experience justice. It was a pleasure to stay here

Some rooms need a refurbishment, they had mold in it or the wallpaper was coming off. I didn't expect to see this at a five star hotel.

I love the fact that it is a 5-star-hotel. Really appreciate the diptyque bath products in the bathroom. The room was very clean and lovely. The bed was very comfortable.

I was not a fan of the breakfast buffet. I wish there were warm pancakes made to order, as well as other egg dishes such as egg Benedict included in the breakfast buffet. Lastly, I wish they would have offered more fruit options. I don't think the breakfast buffet is worth it at all when you can walk down the street and enjoy some delicious Portuguese pastries and breakfast. I also was disappointed that part of the gym was closed due to renovation.

This is a really nice, modern and clean hotel that has all that you will need for your stay in Lisbon. As nice as the building is, it's the staff that really make this a great experience. Nothing was too much trouble, with everyone very happy to share information that ensured our trip was the best it could be. A very special mention must go to the wonderful man at checked us in and also made sure to talk to us every time we came back through the lobby, asking how our day was and taking a real interest that we were enjoying ourselves. We didn't catch is name, but I'm sure if Sofitel are reading this, they probably know who we are talking about. His enthusiasm, interest and and humour really made our stay. Above this, it was my birthday while we stayed and the staff went above and beyond to ensure this felt special with birthday cake etc. The location of the hotel is also great, just outside the old town (this is a good thing), but close enough that you can walk there in 5 /10 mins. It's also well placed to connect with the small trams that travel up each side of the valley to see the other sites. This hotel would be out first choice by far when we come back to Lisbon.

I'm being very picky, but the odd double 'saloon' doors on the bathroom don't make it as private as it could be. I know the local culture is very meat orientated, but it would be nice to have a few veggie options on the bar menu (there's only really one item).

Great location in Lisbon. Room was pretty nice, blackout curtains were Great. Bed comfy. Clean. Right outside a nice coffee shop with pastries if you want to skip a big breakfast. Easy accessibility to much of the sites and Uber drivers are cheap and easy to get

Bathroom shape a bit weird. Temperature control was difficult and sometimes couldn't keep room cool enough. No spa in the hotel, but does have a gym.

Lovely hotel, the most comfortable beds, lovely diptyque products in the bathroom. I really liked it!! Staff very helpful. Nice location and a good spot to explore Lisbon!

A little noisy in the mornings outside of our room. My sister was in a junior suite and got a welcome platter and turn down service - it would be a nice touch if this applied to all rooms.

very clean and nice service

exceptional comfortable bed and high thread count linen. Polite and helpful staff, Quiet room overlooking pretty square with small kiosk for morning coffee. Concierge parking and esay access to all areas (Alfama and Bairro Alto and Parque de Nascoes) from outside the door metro station.

Bathroom doors are small fiddly double doors whereas the space could have accomodated a bath / shower combination not simply a walk-in shower. In-house machine had limited choice of teas and no milk sachets - UHT would have been convenient but these are minor. Overall it was excellent.

We just came back from a four day stay at the Sofitel Liberdade Lisbon. The people were great! Nuno, Junge Sousa and the others! The room was very clean. The location was great. Breakfast was perfect. We recommend this hotel with our warmest feelings! Nili and Israel Amir
