Spacious, clean, and fantastic location!

This was our second visit to the Villa, so evidently we didn't have any major issues with the 'aparthotel', and nothing much has changed. The facility is ideally located in the center of the baixa area, close to several excellent restaurants, as well as public transportation alternatives. Suites are a good size, and superbly soundproofed. We particularly appreciated the rubber 'booties' on the moveable furniture, which meant that people moving around in the suite above did not disturb us. Bed was comfortable, and changed every two days. The hotel met my criteria of no squeaky doors, and the bathroom sink held water. The TV is large, with numerous English channels, but the digital feed broke up badly on several channels.

I'm not real fond of the trendy bathroom, with the shallow sink (water on the floor), and limited adjustability of the rain shower spray nozzle. Also they REALLY need to clean the drain in the bathroom sink; took forever to drain. Another potential issue is the limited hours the front desk is staffed. Not a problem for us, but in the event of transportation disruptions, you'd want to make sure of how to access the facility after hours - I suspect they have a protocol to handle things.

Nicely fitted out apartment. Lift from the ground floor. Fairly spacious kitchen, dining and lounge area. Large modern bathroom with good space for placing personal items, spacious shower cubicle with good pressure and hot water. Comfortable bed with good side tables and lamps. Proximity to all the major sightseeing was excellent.

Didn’t have a shelf in the shower cubicle to put my shampoo and soap so had to go on the ground. No egg flip or tongs in the kitchen. Only two mugs and two glasses. Would have liked a few more. Didn’t have a dishwasher (or washing machine) so had to keep washing the mugs and glasses all the time. Seemed a little on the mean side for a property like this as did their parsimonious handing out of coffee pods, sugar and regular tea. For the price they should be more generous.

Our stay at Villa Baixa exceeded our expectations in every way....the location was ideal and within easy walking proximity to all attractions; The staff were welcoming and always pleasant and helpful; our room was nicely appointed in the traditional Portuguese blue tile motif; The kitchenette was well equipped and a nice amenity ; and the room was sound and light proofed. The combination of all provided for a very quiet, relaxing and comfortable stay. As an added benefit, the manager was onsite daily and provided a friendly greeting every morning and was very helpful in answering questions and providing directions. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The only thing that might have improved our stay as a "helpful guide" in our room of restaurant other suggestions about the getting around/touring the area.

We absolutely loved the apartment and it would have been perfect should we have not had a huge issue with the hot water and the Wi-Fi having a blowout(apparently the fault controlled both). We booked a two bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with a balcony so that we could enjoy watching all buskers in the square(we loved that) so when we were offered another beautiful apartment, it didn't have a balcony, we chose to stay in the original apartment and shower in the offered one. They also gave us a floating gadget to fix the Wi-Fi problem. Even though all this was super inconvenient, the host certainly did everything they could to make sure we were happy. Truly appreciate there quick response to the problems. This apartment is absolutely perfectly located, easy to get around on foot and should you need transport, bolt is super easy and well priced. Restaurant, shops and the vibe of the city are right on the doorstep.

We would have liked to have returned for our final night, but booking.com did not have the facility for us to book for one night, a minimum of two nights required.

A fantastic location. Right in the centre of everything, but very accessible being in the flat part of the old town, so no need to climb hills to get home. Great little apartment, perfect for our stay with two little kids. It has a reception, which is very handy. The staff were great, very helpful and friendly. The rooms are cleaned every day, we were impressed with the quality of the housekeeping service. Handy kitchen facilities such as a fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave, toaster and even a little stove. There is also a charcuterie restaurant downstairs, perfect for an Iberico ham and a glass of red lunch!

Some additional toiletries such as shampoo/conditioner would be great, but I had my own so was not a problem.

The property is in an ideal location to get to everything. We looked one way and saw the Elevator, the other way the castle. You could easily walk to the Metro, Tram, Restaurants, and sites. The apartment was very clean and safe. The bed was the most comfortable bed of our entire 2 week trip. It was also nice that it had 2 AC units. I was very thankful for the elevator as we were on the 4th floor. I would definitely stay here again.

The girls in the apartment next to ours kept taking calls out in the hall very late at night and very early in the morning. I realize she was trying to be considerate to her friend but it was very inconsiderate to us. There was nothing that the property could do about this, but the wall are thin.

The host communicated the checkin process clearly, and was available for checkin exactly as they had promised. Very helpful receptionists who spoke excellent english and helped arrange transport. (I didn't use their off-hours, automated check-in system so can't speak to that.) Location is convenient (within 40 minutes walk) to public transport, supermarkets, sights we wanted to see (Prado, Royal Palace, historical city centre), yet quiet at night. Felt safe in the neighbourhood and the unit. The kitchenette has all you need for 1-4 people on a short stay, including good dishwasher and washer/dryer. Good air conditioner/heating system.

There were a couple of minor maintenance issues: light bulb in kitchen, sticky door to patio, but nothing significant and host was responsive to fix. There were only two of us, so we would have preferred a more comfortable sofa to sit in rather than a sofa bed.

We liked the size of the rom and kitchenette complete with dining table. We were able to have breakfast on our own and also enjoy the early evening with the veranda doors open, people watching on the sidewalk below our flat. The room was clean, comfortable and staff was very helpful and courteous. It is located in a very nice part of Lisbon and a good jumping off point each days walking adventures through the city.

The nice veranda that we enjoyed people watching in the early evening also allowed street noise into our apartment after we were in bed. We still enjoyed the location.

The bed was super comfortable and the bedding was fresh and smelled great. The location was wonderful for our last night before our flight home. We had a great last Portuguese dinner and last minute gift shopping on the surrounding streets. It was beautiful to see all the Christmas lights all lit up on the streets and it felt super safe. There were a lot of Engligh channel options on the TV, which wasn't typical in the other places we stayed. Once we closed the wooden window shutters, the room was really quiet, considering it was a 1st floor room onto the street.

The chairs could have been a little softer to sit on, but really, this was pretty minor as everything else was beautiful
