The breakfast was super good. The bread when you toast it it would melt in your mouth, so good! They have a nice variety and very well presented :) The staff was very friendly and it is located 15min walking from the centre. One day rained so much but they lend us umbrellas and that saved our day.

The sink in our bathroom was so tiny that washing my face every day was impossible not to make a mess, but not all the rooms are the same. Our room was a bit humid and had some humidity in one wall, but Porto in general I believe has this issue because lots of buildings are built with granite and that is very porous. It is not a big issue for us and I understand that must be a fight owners suffer, but I included in case that this might be an issue for someone else.

Use of lounge areas and breakfast room for socializing with traveling companions. Close proximity to public transportation and excellent local restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff members. Elevator was available in addition to stairs. Excellent breakfast. Tawny Port at the front door if one might need a taste.

No washcloths were provided. A small refrigerator and n the room would have been helpful.

Loved Carla and her help. She was a guide, a friend and a piece of light in the night when we arrived. The service as a whole was impeccable. Water to drink and a little taste of Porto was complimentary and a really charming gesture. The room was clean, adorable and essential to what we needed. The nice terrace is common to everybody and you can eat breakfast or have some food. Was the best experience in a hotel after a long time, having traveled to Bruxelles, UK, Cornwall, France and Italy. It also is really near the city centre!!

If I need to be picky. The only thing I didn't love was the metal skirting board cover on the angles of the walls. I injured myself having to wake up in the night to go to the bathroom and stepped on it as there was a little space between the bed and the wall. The metal part is so sharp that it cuts the skin really easily, I know is meant to protect the wall but the person is important too :) but this is really the only different thing it happened from the extraordinary trip we had.

Staff were so so lovely and helpful. Location was excellent - 3 minutes to the metro and 20 minute walk to the main town. Loved the minimalist style, very stylish.

Just a little bit of a pet peeve but my double bed was two single beds pushed together. I understand that hotels do this for flexibility with rooms, but the bed did come apart during the night and I had specifically requested a double bed. As I was on the top floor I couldn’t take the lift the whole way to the top - this isn’t a problem for me but for someone with mobility difficulties it might be worth flagging this.

The check in was efficient, friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and large. The situation was about a ten minute walk into the centre, It was also close to a metro station to the airport. The metro ticket machine is not easy to use and the man who was supposed to be helping tourists was totally indifferent to helping anyone! On the other hand the staff at the Boavista were all lovely, helpful, interested and determined to give great service. The free glass of port was a nice touch. We had a beer on the terrace which was a relaxing way to start our holiday.

The machine coffee was ok but the rest of the breakfast was excellent, The food was varied and of a very good quality. Again the service was excellent.

Very clean and well located guest house - about 20 min walk from the old town centre, or 5 min from the metro station if you don't want to walk. Despite being on Boavista which is a pretty busy street we found it quiet at night. The breakfast is copious, sets you up for the day :-) The little side terrace is nice, but unfortunately the weather wasn't really up to it for hanging out there when we stayed.

Nothing to complain about really, but if pressed I would say that the bathroom in our room (no. 24) was pretty miniscule. The washbasin was a (very) small corner unit, pretty difficult to brush your teeth or wash without splashing water everywhere.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly, informative and helpful. The 24 hour service was great, especially for those only speaking English, who needed advice. The house keeping was very good. We enjoyed the outdoor terrace and the ability to have breakfast if required. There were a number of areas to sit and relax. We would recommend Boavista Guest House to anyone staying in Porto. Easy walk to the main areas of the city. Excellent value.

We were super happy with this nice guesthouse. Convenient location next to airport train, not too far from center. Staff was absolutely welcoming and friendly. Shower always had warm water and more than enough water pressure. Wifi was fast. Breakfast more than enough. Having a port wine at the terrace was also great. Literally next door there's also a good restaurant in case one gets really hungry :)

Probably the only flaw is poor sound isolation - house is located at fairly busy street and inside walls are not great either. But earplugs sort this problem easily :)

Very close to the metro station (just a few minutes walk) and also possible to get to the city centre by foot (approx. 30 minutes walk). The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was good but with limited options.

Small room but we didn't really mind. There were no eggs at breakfast or any kind of warm dishes. Some of the options were also not replenished if you chose a breakfast at later time (overnight oats, pancakes).
