Very quiet, peaceful hotel with lots of charm. Spacious rooms, very clean. Hotel is close to modern center of Porto. Need transport for older persons to go to historical center. Breakfast was plentiful with good choices. Parking near by at 400m at end of street that was safe and convenient as well as good value at 15€ for 24 hours.

Real orange juice for breakfast would be better.

For the kitchen: kettle, cups, some teabags. Fridge works. There was everything needed in the bathroom - and enough for a 4-day stay. Nice branded towels. There were some blankets in case it got cold.

It's not an issue for me but still: the lightning in the fridge didn't work, it looked like there were some mold in the kettle.

This a beautiful home converted into a small hotel and retains all that is good about staying in a beautiful home. I have had to stay in modern hotels as part of my work and I find them over heated and stuffy I found this hotel very comfortable and I will defiantly stay there if I go back to Porto. I will that it may not suit everybody but I enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful old-style hotel in a quiet location. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful and offered maps and answered my questions. This was a nice peaceful location and I got a good night's sleep. It is not too far from the city centre too

I loved the hotel. The beds are very confortable. The room is good, bath awesome, heating good, staff very attentious and the breakfast is fabulous! Nice prices. And it's very well located, 25 minutes from Bus Station. Very near to Cedofeita Street and Porto University. The Hotel is 15 minutes far from a very nice Pub Cachacaria.Bar (with brazilian snacks and cachacas) and the Crystal Palace with a wonderful view of the river Douro. I strongly recommend.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. The building and furniture had character. It was quite roomy for Porto.

I was OK but some might find the entrance stairs a problem.

The location was perfect because I had super early flight and the hotel is very close to Lapa metro station from where early trains go to airport. Stuff was super kind and helpful. I even had a hand-written welcome note in my room.

The accomodation has stairs which is not the best when you have heavy baggage to lift up. No lift.

The room had a fridge and an electric kettle for tea. The bed was firm and comfortable.

Though the bedsheets were very clean, they were quite old and didn't really fit the mattress. The door didn't properly lock from the inside. The lock was rusty and didn't slide through properly which meant our door wasn't really secured. We did not feel unsafe at all, but I would have liked to feel confident in the locking mechanism.

Our first impression at the reception was exceptional, we received kindness and all the information needed. Izrael told us every small secret spot of the city. Breakfast was rich, location is good, you can walk easily to downtown. It has a small and cute garden, and the building is just beautiful. The room was absolutely clean. There is a cheap parking garage on the next street.

The pillows were too big for us.
