Really enjoyed the breakfast, particularly the opportunity to try the national royal cake (almond). Good, wide choice. We had half board and found the dinners excellent, with a further opportunity to try local/national dishes. Our room was very good, with a private terrace close to the water and with a marvelous view. The complimentary box of dog goodies was a lovely surprise : our dog is still eating her way through the treats, which I am doling out slowly to make them last.! Great location, close to some good beaches and picturesque harbours, and the car ferry to Aviero. We saw nesting storks and flamingos in the wild.

There was no public area where we could sit with our dog. It would have been nice to sit in the bar area in the evening after dinner and enjoy a drink looking out at the view.

The location and the hotel is very beautiful and special, the staff is forthcoming, nice and helpful

some of the rooms require some work; and some of the stuff seems to be in need of training (very inexperienced, bottles for example, placed on the table without being opened or served - wine) food quality (in particular breakfast, coffee, juice etc.) and variety (some of the options not available early on) could be better

- Wonderful location, make sure to take a room with the lagoon view. - Very helpful staff, we also got many tips on what to do in the area. - Modern and nice room (we had one of the new rooms)

- Breakfast was good, for a longer stay it was only lacking a bit of diversity. - Noisy ventilation outside of our room.

Good breakfast but not exceptional. Fantastic Location and views. Very good restaurant for dinner.

Lack of staff to keep the bar open, but the available staff were very nice. Also be advised that it takes about an hour to reach Aveiro itself by car, probably less by ferry. This is not necessarily bad if you like to see the local scenery.

Very peaceful. Very helpful staff. Dog friendly. Ground floor room with easy access to the grounds. Breakfast/restaurant terrace has great setting looking over the lagoon. Treated to a fly past of a long line of flamingos on our last morning whilst having breakfast.

Outside space a little jaded.

We had a wonderful holiday at Pousada Ria. The reception staff (Senhor Jose, in particular) were so helpful and kind, made arrangements for us to have the Covid tests more easily / nearby and gave us interesting information about the local area. Our room was cleaned immaculately every day and we felt very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, with very tasty fresh breads, good variety of dishes and nice staff who brought the food very quickly. The lagoon views from the restaurant and our balcony were lovely and tranquil. Overall, we had a most pleasant and relaxing stay at your hotel, after a difficult year because of the coronavirus pandemic. Thank you, Pousada Ria!

We liked everything.

A wonderful hotel in a fabulous setting with spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Like something from 1970's Zimbabwe (design wise), in a good way! The staff were attentive, really efficient and genuinely nice. They went out of their way to help us organise a boat trip in the lagoon. I could spend days by the pool overlooking the water of the lagoon and watching the local fishermen go by in their traditional boats. A truly relaxing spot.

Bathrooms could do with an update. As could the spirits behind the bar!!

This is truly one of the most beautiful houses we have ever stayed in. The friendliness of everyone on site is incredible. You feel better than at home! The breakfast is beyond words, the location is great, secluded, quiet and very relaxing. We are very happy to come back. thank you very much for the nice time

The location. Staff were very friendly. The view of the ria and watching the fish feeding.

It was not obvious on the site that you need to use a ferry to get from Aveira or a 50 minute drive. Restaurant staff were very friendly but a bit hit and miss.

Nice hotel in quiet secluded spot. You need a car! Staff extremely helpful. Dinner in the hotel was excellent. Breakfast is good but nothing special.
