Convenient location and rooms were clean and staff pleasant

When I booked I stayed there were 3 in the room- we had to make the sofa bed up and would have expected there to be a some kind of duvet cover. Breakfast was not as good as in other holiday Inns we have stayed it but this may have been because the food was under heat lights and not hot plates, and we just arrived at the wrong time . Also there were no tongs for things like bread and having watched several people pick up bread and put it back - we probably wouldn’t stay for breakfast again. However I would stay at the hotel again, as the pros out weigh the cons

Staff were really helpful. I complained about the poor breakfast, the duty manager, Ash dealt with really quickly, apologised and wavered the cost. Really impressed

Road works and poor signage left us driving around for half an hour The hotel needs attention, peeling paint and rotting wood, which is ashame because it's a lovely building but not worth £160 for a double room. The window in the room was dirty, it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. The breakfast was poor, cold beans and undercooked sausages and pastries

Mould in bathroom - why do UK hotel bathrooms have no windows or an extractor fan? Everything is left damp and the tiles are slippery after showering. Hotel room windows painted shut. No plug sockets next to the bed, had to purchase an extension cord for medical equipment use. Bar staff very slow, observed to be on their phones, or outside smoking whilst customers are waiting to be served. Witnessed one staff member sitting on the floor behind the bar hiding from customers. Parking eye cameras - had a family member drop a guest off as they had been go karting, and they were hit with a parking charge. Not very hospitable to be using a parking company to charge your guests to park, considering the hotel is in the middle of nowhere.

The hotel was beautiful and very peaceful. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The surroundings were beautiful.

The only main issue I had (and heard this from other guests I spoke to) was the requirements for beds was not met. When I arrived and discovered a double bed when I clearly stated I'd be sharing with my 14 year old daughter I was asked why I couldn't just share the bed As a 49 year old father you can see how inappropriate this was. I was eventually given a folding bed but this should not have been allowed to happen. I know of at least 2 other families that were asked to share beds with their children.

The hotel is adjacent to the farm I worked at 50 years ago, so it has been a nostalgia visit. The farm is now part of a huge development. It has been very interesting! The staff have all been very welcoming and helpful and the atmosphere very cheerful. Surprisingly low noise levels from all the mechanical activity outside.

The original house is clearly in need of refurbishment but we understand why that may not take place till the external construction work is completed. The extractor fan from the bathroom is not very efficient.

We had traveled from Dorset to London to do a drop off then London to the hotel to the staff were very accommodating as I myself am disabled , I was offered a adapted room , but the room I had booked was ok for us and it was clean , warm and comfortable, we were also offered tea / coffee from the hydration station. Which we were very grateful for , we then went to our room and out to the restaurant which was closed but we could still order to have in the lounge , breakfast was out of this world , we had such a lovely stay and reception staff and restaurant staff were very friendly and very nice people. We will most definitely be back to stay , thank you all .

Nothing , everything was perfect

Through no fault of the hotel had a detour to get there due to major roadworks surrounding the area but on arrival , Lovely hotel building, so relaxing , as soon as we walked in to the building you felt at home . Fantastic professional staff , loved the food ( supper and breakfast ) Thankyou for the warm welcome and short stay! First time staying in a Holiday Inn. Very impressed with the service. We arrived in the evening and our booking with booking.com hadn’t shown as needing a family room even though we had booked one for 2 adults and a child. I was impressed how quickly Edwin sorted this out even though they were busy. Lovely quiet room with water, soft drinks/tea, coffee and snacks. Breakfast was amazing, loads of choice and great if you have dietary requirements. Jordan was especially helpful.

Lovely breakfast with freshly cooked items and plenty of choice. Really friendly and attentive staff. Good sized room and bathroom with powerful shower and nice soap and shower gel.

I couldn’t see any plug sockets beside the bed, not an issue as we were only there one night as a stop over but definitely something that would improve the room.

Room & hot breakfast

Till the road work is going & junction 14 is closed. Need to give more detailed instructions on how to access the premise, especially if they are travelling in night. Worth mentioning using tickford roundaboud at reference & sign boarded needed at roundabout for Holiday Inn Express. Gates are closed at night & we had to call security guard to check if we are on right path.
