A really nice local, pub with character. Well appointed room, good locally sourced food with a good pub menu and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.

We used the free car park, but feel that we should have been warned that there would be a small local market actually in the car park on the Sunday morning. The somewhat noisy setting up started at 0700 with several cars and vans manoeuvring outside our window, and when we checked out later someone had obviously struck our car, causing a scratch on the bumper. Not particularly serious, but annoying. I could easliy have parked in the quiet road had I been warned!

A stay in the country but just 12 minutes from Central MK. Huge bedroom, quiet and warm, with everything you might want. Excellent evening meal (superb chips and exceptionally good mussels) and an amazingly good breakfast with phenomenal range of hot dishes in addition to the usual breakfast items. This pub/hotel also deserves your patronage because it's a genuine community asset - the locals use it as a pub, they run the adjacent village shop and the morning we left they were just setting up an art class in the restaurant.

Sorry, nothing to crticise here.

The hotel was lovely and the staff really friendly and helpful. Lovely little shop next door too which was great. The food was really good although the portions were enormous and there was a lot of waste as we could not eat it all. The hotel would save a lot of money I think if they reduced the portion size as it was such a shame to waste the lovely meals. Breakfast was gorgeous and those portions were just right. The hotel atmosphere was lovely and along with the bar and restaurant there was also a lovely garden room to eat in and a great garden so we could sit in the sun reading the papers. We stayed as we wanted to visit Bletchley Park. The hotel is situated in a beautiful little village which was great and away from the very busy Milton Keynes. Bletchley was only a few miles drive but the hotel is in the country so quiet and peaceful where relaxing is easy. Our bedroom was very spacious and comfortable. All in all it was a very pleasant stay and we would go back again.

Nothing really except having to waste food because of too large portions

This was one of the best breakfast menus i have seen, and very fresh and nothing was too much trouble. We are not big breakfast eaters but could not resist a superb omelette and eggs benedict, freshly cooked by clearly a proper chef.

This is very difficult to respond to as we absolutely loved it there, there was a bit of traffic noise in the morning with delivery lorries, but how else can you get fresh fish etc!!

Very handy for the M1, we were just hoping for an easy stopover. The White Hart turned out to be brilliant. From the moment we arrived we made welcome and were able to relax and enjoy ourselves in this attractive old place. The beer was good, and our supper that evening was lovely, with excellent local bacon and sausages at breakfast next day. The pub is popular but wasn’t at all noisy. There’s a great little farm shop in the yard, where we bought some treats to take home. The dog made friends and was happy pottering round the garden. Friendly regulars clearly regard the place as a home from home and you can see why. There are good walks all around, we found a lovely one from the churchyard just round the corner.

If I had to quibble I would have loved a cosy sofa area in the pub to go and curl up in after our delicious meal, before going up to our room. As a foodie place I can see it makes business sense for them to have a lot of tables instead. In the bedroom itself the lighting was a bit harsh - no table lamps - If the bedside fittings were lower down on the wall it would give a much nicer effect, but I am being picky. We managed to park right where we wanted to but it is on the tight side getting in and out. On a busy day you might have to find a spot in the village.

I stayed one night while travelling for work and arrived after a very long day. I very rarely eat in a restaurant on my own, but the pub restaurant felt so welcoming that I did. My evening meal was lovely and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic - it kept me going through another long day of work and until I arrived home in the evening. My room was lovely, full of charm and character, with an excellent shower.

Nothing - I only wished I was there for more than one evening, and that my husband was travelling with me!

I couldn't of asked for a nicer stay nothing was to much trouble for them the only thin I wished I'd of thought to of told them when booking was that I am disabled and found it hard and it was painful to get to my room but that was my fault and it was to late to change it as other disabled guests had already booked the downstairs room but I would go back with out a doubt but would make sure I booked a downstairs room

This is a great place to stay, it has lovely well appointed rooms full of character above the pub and spacious dog friendly rooms in the building opposite. great quality food. The breakfast choice is amazing. There is a great little shop on the site as well. what makes it exceptional is the quality of service from the friendly and relaxed staff. Giles and his team are doing a great job here. The place has a great atmosphere, you will not be disappointed

Traditional English pub with rooms - so pleased to have found this! Ideal location for visiting Bletchley Park & other Milton Keynes attractions, as well as access to local walks. Good value & well cooked dinner menu with several GF options, excellent breakfast. Worth a second visit!

Just a note - no evening meals on Sundays.

Nice homely / local atmosphere there, staff were absolutely amazing, location is good too. Nice old styled bar / restaurant & room. Parking in front of the hotel. Great burgers (go for double up with bacon)

Could do with a bit of cleaning the bathroom, was not bad but spider here and there however, my wife went through the night so was no bad, trust me! ;)
