I arrived in the Ramadan period and the staff was very friendly and served the breakfast in the room. They helped us with some information and a call to the rental company to cross check where to deliver the car. Sometime speaking local language helps more than English's.

I had the reservation via booking and seems that was needed an extra confirmation which was weird, since in Europe is not needed. Therefore our rooms were already booked to others, but the staff was very nice and redirect to another hotel. They went with us and offered the same price as Velvet hotel. In Saudi seems that are preferred other hotel reservation websites like expedia.com, edreams.com and less booking.com. Keep this in mind if you plan to travel and reserve the rooms via booking. If you contact the hotel via email, they reply with automatic messages, not personal as it is done in other hotels/countries.

The hotel was amazing Mrs Ghada in reception was very cooperative and once we arrived we didn't wait just few minutes and the room was ready Location very close to everything The room was great and accomodate a family and the bed was double twins and the hotel offered a mattress for my children The swimming pool fantastic and in closed area and there was a jakosy one of the best hotels in jeddah Isa will be my 1st choice to stay in jeddah next time And highly recommend this hotel

The breakfast was not nice and wish to improve the quality and variety

the reception guys were not at all helpful. they charge me again to pay for my stay even if I have booked already thru booking.com. they claimed that there is no booking reserved for me despite the fact that I have paid for my stay before I even arrived. then few days after, I asked the front desk manager to check for me and he said it is there. this is not a good way really does the staff to treat a customer and for that I say they are not good and helpful. lazy people really. and that was a 6 night stay I paid again.

The hotel, in general, was nice although I did not really spend much time in it since I was leaving early in the morning and coming back just to sleep. the staff was nice and friendly room size was more than enough the bed was big and comfy the room was clean Internet and the wireless connection was good AC was super good

As I've mentioned I did not really spend much time inside the hotel to give a precise rating for the food and other facilities -The shower cabinet was leaking while taking the shower -When I talked to the laundry service to take my clothes they told me "we are busy, try again tomorrow at 10 pm" -The room rate was very high for such a hotel, however, I know that was due to the Formula 1 racing and I believe not it's back to normal.

Location is perfect for my work, quite easy to reach from major roads. It has enough spaces for cars outside and inside car park. Room is very comfortable with nice furniture, public areas are well looked after with nice colorful furniture. Check in and out was perfect and straightforward. Overall, I like the hotel, I think it will be on the top of the list if I come back again to Jed.

The Gym is quite limited, the treadmill seems not working, or haven't been used or checked for long time, but other equipment did the job for me. The basement parking is locked and you need to ring reception to open, it was fine, they respond immediately, but guests will feel more comfortable to have access using their room cards like any simialr hotels, especially if the come in or out late night or early morning.

i reached hotel at 8pm and was told there is no room. They then told me they have another hotel of same velvet group New Golden hotel, which was 8km away. I had booked with breakfast and told me there is no breakfast in this hotel.

Everything at our stay was perfect. Very clean Hotel and the stuff is very friendly and helpful. I would always prefer to stay here if i come to jeddah.

Excellent property and very convenient for variouse activities. Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. Property is clean and has a fantastic old time charm.

Value for money. Right in the middle of down town. Accessible to all important locations easily.

Breakfast needs improvement a bit. Does not cater to international traveller. However one can make do. They have exhaust in the bath room which makes a racket. They need to do something yo help guests sleep soundly
