Close to a family member and the cleanliness was excellent

As a place to stay for the night before a morning flight from Brisbane airport, I found the Clayfield Motel very good. Although a little dated, the room was comfortable, and the shuttle service to the airport was very useful. You can also get into the centre of Brisbane by train from Clayfield station very easily.

It's on a very busy main road. However, with the windows closed the noise level was OK. Unfortunately the room I'd booked with a spa bath wasn't available because of a problem with leaking water so I was given a standard room instead. I got a complimentary breakfast as compensation, but this was just some products provided in a room with a fridge, you had to prepare (and clear up) everything yourself.

The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The room was spotless, comfortable and well provisioned even providing a tea towel and offering crockery and cutlery. The motel is situated on a busy main road but a short walk away is an extensive park area which was pleasant to stroll through. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

There isn’t a lot that the hotel can do about it, but there is no lobby for sitting in if you are waiting to go to the airport for a later flight. There is a pleasant swimming pool area but not practical if the weather is poor.

Had a pleasant stay, everything was a breeze from check in to check out. Owner was able to store my luggage which was super helpful before checking in. The room itself had just what I needed during my stay. Bed was super comfortable, the shower was great. Only downside in the bathroom was the toilet seat being loose and the light flickering initially when it was turned on. Was very nice having a tv, a bummer not having a netflix login though. The water jug and tea/coffee and milk just made it that little better. Location was great, super easy to get to the city with public transport a short walk from the motel. Had an airport shuttle in the morning which made things much easier! Would definitely recommend staying here.

It was exactly what we needed. We had a morning flight and they offered free shuttle to the airport, which ran exactly on time. The owners were very nice and hardworking (from checking us in to driving the shuttle). They do offer a breakfast option, though our flight was too early to take advantage of it. The room was clean and quiet, and the hotel was within walking distance to a great seafood restaurant.

The only little downside was that our door was very tight, so when we first tried to get in, we couldn't open it and thought we had gotten the wrong keys -- once we knew where to give that extra push, it was fine!

We like the location as it offers free ride to airport. Perfect for those who need to catch early flights. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The room is spacious and clean and equipped with microwave oven, fridge and water kettle.

The room is not that sound proofed, can hear the sound from the outside. It has lift for luggage only, can be troublesome if you have many and heavy luggages but don’t worry, the staff will help you to operate it.

The couple who manages the facility has an exceptional customer service. They've accommodate and changed things , gave me options as I am in a wheelchair. Really got out of their way to assist me. Such s waking up at 3am in the morning to assist me with the chair to then catch a taxi

Not their fault but the maxi taxi who was organised by the front desk lady, never came to pick me up, so I had to organise myself at 3:30 in the morning in the reception area. Perhaps next time book a different car based on the person's need. My fault , I should communicate better

Room was clean and tidy with everything you need for an overnight stay. Staff were friendly and plenty of places to purchase something for dinner that were within walking distance.

Communication was slow. Booked property specifically because they offered a free shuttle bus to airport. Wasn’t until after checking in and in my room they responded to my earlier request for a shuttle bus, to tell me they didn’t start running until 6.30am; my flight was 6.10am. No apology, no alternative offered. For this reason won’t stay again.

The location near to the airport with a free morning shuttle ride was the main attraction. The bedsit room with en suite bathroom was all that I needed for a short stay. The unit was clean and comfortable and surprisingly quiet for a motel on a busy road. Husband and wife management team were friendly and helpful. There are several fast-food places nearby.

I couldn't find a heater when the air became chilly on my second evening and the office was closed. The luggage lift for upstairs rooms was out of action.

I stayed here on transit to Solomon Islands - I landed in the evening and left in the morning, and just needed a place to crash. Being able to sleep properly was imperative given then time zones I was travelling through and this place met that need perfectly. Close to the airport for a Uber and then an efficient drop off service in the morning. It would be an ok option to stay for a few nights too as the room was well equipped and spacious.

It would have been nice to be given a cappuccino in the morning ;)
