Keystone House is an ideally situated modern hotel, less than a 5-minute walk from St Pancras International railway station. It's 4-stars in terms of what it offers in its price bracket, not a true 4-star hotel. Rooms are small but functional, clean and bright. Beds are comfortable with 2 pillows each and reading lights. The shower rooms are small, but modern and clean. There is a wall-mounted Smart TV with many apps available in addition to traditional services. Rooms have an individually controlled air conditioner which we found to be silent and very efficient warming the room quickly on cold winter nights. Instant coffee and tea sachets only are provided, however there is a Sainsbury’s Local next door which offers decent bean-to-cup coffee included as part of a very good-value hot or cold food, "meal deal". So, breakfast is taken care of! Our room was on the ground floor with no windows, which was not a problem for us. It's possible that some rooms are noisy as ear plugs were provided; we did not need these as we did not experience any noise issues. There is an adjacent pub, The Scottish Stores, with an interleading door from the hotel reception area. This pub offers a 10% discount to hotel residents. Access from the street, as well as to corridors, the pub and rooms is granted with a single code provided in advance of arrival. TIP: make sure you check in before arrival to ensure you receive your access code. There is a reception desk, but we noted that this is not always attended. Apparently, there is a paid luggage storage option, but we opted to use the luggage storage at St Pancras International which is open until mid-evening, daily. In short, this hotel is ideal for short stays in London. It is ideally situated and offers good value. We'd certainly return.

We loved the kitchen in the apartment room, we were able to make food we bought from the Tesco Express just down the street. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was really nice, and they had a towel warmer, which was a nice perk. It felt like we had our own little flat in London! The staff was friendly, and the location was great, being close to the train station as well as shops and cafes. It is a non-traditional hotel, where you are given a code to use to get into the hotel and room, and there is no elevator- but we knew all this and it didn’t impact our stay negatively.

The location of Keystone House is excellent - easy to reach from the airports and well connected to explore any part of London. There is a small supermarket in the next house and another one on the next street. The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. Getting in and out with the access code was easy. Wifi was functioning well. The house itself is a bit of a labyrinth. We did not mind the steep stairs and climbing to the 4th floor. However, it may not suit everybody.

Our biggest disappointment was the kitchenette in the apartment-type of room. Although having a proper stove and fridge, the rest of the equipment was poor. Most of all, even the basic cutlery was missing (no large spoons, no forks) and the water boiler did not work properly. Also, the function of cleaning remained a bit unclear. Although the cleaning person entered our room every day and was very persistent in making the bed, s/he did not clean the floors or take out garbage.

Keystone House is in the perfect location, 5 minute walk (if that) to Kings Cross Station. The room was neat and tidy enough and had tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was neatly presented with enough towels for all of us. We didn't have a hair dryer but called the number provided, and one was brought up to us immediately. I like that the property has a pin code to access the doors. It felt safe and secure. I thought the room would be very noisy being above a pub and by a busy road, but it wasn't. We slept well with minimal noise pollution. We were on the 2nd floor. This property is a great base for a shopping trip or a quick stay in London. It's minimal, but you get what you pay for.

Having two double beds was a bit of a squeeze it the layout that they were placed in. We managed but had to climb over the bed to access space for luggage. The sofa bed wasn't the best, quite squeakie, it would be ok for 1 person but was not the best with 2 people in it. I paid extra for a birthday banner and balloons. These were extremely minimal and not really worth it. There were a lot of stairs, don't get me wrong, I knew this before booking but it was a little tiring for my elderly mother carrying her case up. If you have mobility issues and don't get a ground floor room, then this isn't for you. All the carpets could do with a revamp. They look a bit tired, but this didn't bother us, just an observation.

The room was fabulous. It was clean and I had a nice view onto the Scala opposite and a bit of the skyline at the bank of the Thames (in the distance). The bed was great and I slept well. And since the house is close to King's Cross you're at the station in under 5min. The staff was really nice and helpful at all times.

Since the hotel is close to King's Cross and there are a lot of cars and buses on the street, it's a bit loud – which is to be expected. They provide free ear plugs, which is helpful, since traffic starts again around 6 a.m. The absolutely only thing that I missed and which would have made the room perfect would have been a lamp over that little desk by the window. Everything else was absolutely great.

Very close to Kings Cross Station and multiple bus stops. It was really easy to move around town. Really nice staff, Rihanna was helpful. Comfortable room, very clean as well. Shower with good pressure and a heating system just for the towels.

There was no shampoo or conditioner even though the description included toiletries..there was only liquid soap. A lot of stairs, it is important to now that before booking! Of course you can see this by the pictures on booking, we were aware of it. There was a weird watery noise coming through the wall, I think it was the air conditioner, but I’m not sure. If you’re not a heavy sleeper it could be a problem.

Perfect location if you want to stroll around the city and be close to many different sights. It's cozy maybe not to big and if your claustrophic dont book the room with no windows (personally didnt mind) but if you only need a cosy bed, clean bathroom it's perfect. It's mostly online contact but the staff we have seen has been wonderfull and the everyday room cleaning was very nice. And with a good price being near the city center and all a really good hotel if you want budget but still a clean nice room. Already booked again for the future 👍

I had no complaints what so ever.

So easy to get to from King's Cross. Past McDonald's, opposite Scala, there!! Key code to get in... terrifies me, I had a bad experience once. This worked with ease. Room was clean, modern, spacious and had everything... even chocolate on the towels. Loads of tea, coffee, milk and sugar. Large ensuite meaning it didn't feel claustrophobic. Great shower, good lighting. Room had no window, used to bother me, but if the curtains are closed at night, you never see out anyway. There was a great fan, extractor or heat system. Worked very well. Very pleasant room.

Everything was perfect.

Perfect location. Room was very clean. Although the trafffick around the hotel was heavy, inside was very quiet. Air condition was doing great job and online check in was easy as well as entering the hotel with code. I would book again :)

When I was booking the hotel room there was no information that room has no window. I found that out only few days before the trip when I was completing online check in. Even though the lack of windows did not affect our stay in the hotel, I would prefer if I knew that information earlier.

Another perfect stay for me and my 10yr old daughter. Perfect location so close to KX station, clean room, comfy bed & hot shower. We always stay here for our weekend breaks in London, being so close to the underground is perfect for getting about for sightseeing or theatre. Sainsbury local next door to the hotel. McDonald's, KFC, Five Guys & Burger King a stones throw away which is always a hit with my daughter 🤣 Luggage storage was great as we weren't catching the train home till late, so we collected bags when we finished sightseeing & were ready to go.
