Everything really. My first night I was cold as I was adjusting to the London weather, but then I got used to it. The location was terrific and as it is a major transport hub,I didn't expect it to be quiet. I live near lots of trains and buses in a major US city and I sleep well at night,no issues with noise for me or at the Belgrove. Yes there are stairs and no elevator but(I was on an "American" 4th floor)that's actually in the hotel's site description already, but again I personally didn't mind. The receptionists were wonderful and so was housekeeping. Side note: I don't understand some of the reviews here and this obsession with breakfast as it keeps popping up. There are tons of places around to eat your morning meal,go out and and explore some. Otherwise,it's a good hotel in the right location. I was happy with it!

I have no dislikes.

It's a super convenient location near a big transport hub of St Pancras and King's Cross, we came straight from the airport and could go anywhere by train, bus or tube. The place is really worth its money, and suits you if you can't spend much. It's really cheap for this popular place. The rooms are cleaned well and towels are changed every day, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a hospitality tray with coffee, tea, sugar and milk. The glasses and cups were washed for us. There's a TV that we barely used because we came to see London. I had to work twice on zoom, the internet was stable. Our room number 19 faced the backyard and the lower ground floor's rooftop, so it was quiet even in this busy area. It has a separate bathroom and toilet, so myself and the kids were comfortable. There's a laundrette over the corner, and a Co-op over another corner.

If your room is facing the street and not the backyard - it might be noisy during daytime as there's a busy area and a construction in process (a compact one, nothing to be afraid of). However, you'll be rewarded with a view of King's Cross station.

Literally across the road from Kings Cross Station. Get what you pay for, it is a very basic hotel but it is clean and does the job. The lovely lady on reception was very welcoming and helpful! I asked for a ground floor room which I got but I didn’t realise how noisy it would be, hotel staff were great in changing my room.

Building work going on across the road from the property which starts relatively early during the week. If you’re wanting to lie in ask for a room at the rear of the property. I asked for a ground floor room and didn’t realise how loud it would be, but have to admit they were very helpful with switching my room.

I liked the fact the room looked like it had been cleaned. The bedsheets were clean, the table was clean, and the floor was clean. The bed was on the firmer side, which I don't mind. Taps worked which is always a plus. The location is great, literally a minute away from the underground, didn't order anything but saw there were a few takeaways around so food is also available (You can also order to the hotel afaik).

It would have been nicer if there was another plug socket somewhere, from what I could tell there were only 2, and if you wanted to watch TV and use the fan (due to it being hot) you couldn't plug in anything else to charge/use. The room does get quite hot even with the ceiling fan on and the smaller fan, which was slightly uncomfortable. Wi-fi is a bit sporadic but I saw that from other reviewers so I made sure to download stuff before I arrived. The towel I received had some darker marks on it, not sure if those were permanent stains or if it wasn't cleaned properly but it put me off using it.

My first stay over was after 24 hour delayed flight, arrived and staff were expecting me. Location was excellent for oneard travel from St Pancreas and Kings Cross, and also catching the tube. Bed was comfortable and room met my needs for the short stay. My second stay room I was allocated had another guest present in the room and was immediately given another room which had own bathroom facility. Again perfect for a short stay

Second time I arrived myself and another guest kept waiting while receptionist and another had a long chat. Business like. On checking out the following morning felt more interpersonal and warm manner.

The place is at the big transport hub of St Pancras/King's Cross, so it's easy to get anywhere you want. I was staying with 2 kids, we had a single bed and a double, and it was enough for us. Our room (number 19) was really clean. Glasses and cups are spotless. The room faced the lower ground floor's rooftop and the backyard of the parallel street's hotels, so it was very quiet. The shower and toilet are separate, which is very convenient. Both are super clean and well taken care of. Everything works - the kettle, TV, hot water, all bulbs. The people are polite and helpful. If you are looking for a moderate price and convenient location - this is for you.

The rooms are smallish but it's really not the issue for this price and good service. Some rooms may be facing the street and thus be noisier but it would go together with King's Cross view and it's London after all.

Room was small, but for a similar price I preferred this to a hostel! Location is amazing--not five minutes' walk from Kings Cross St. Pancras Station! Reception was very nice. Bed very soft! I was given a fresh towel every day, and used the old one for stepping out of the shower. Bed was super soft and comfortable!

The bathroom in particular was very tight--it didn't matter, because I was traveling solo, but some people might have trouble closing the door to the WC. Pillow was flat as an envelope--almost nothing there. I put my towel underneath and that helped give more cushion. I could hear the people in the hallway outside my door, but there was a fan in the room and that helped. It was a bit warm, but again, the fan helped with that.

- The location was absolutely perfect, so central and close to Kings Cross - My room was ready for me at 11am so was able to check in early - Had everything I need in the room: cupboard with hangers, TV, sink with mirror and soap, desk/vanity, small light, small table. - Toilet and shower were right next to the room - Nice and clean - Bedsheets and pillows were just the right thickness

- It was incredibly loud outside during the night BUT I understand that this isn’t the fault of the hotel - No plug for the sink so was difficult to wash my face - Bed was a little squeaky but this didn’t disturb my sleep at all

I liked everything. I've read a lot of awful reviews about this hotel. Well, nothing bad happened to us here :) It is an honest two-star hotel with perfect location. It is right across the road from two train stations, in a historical building. We had a tiny room that had all a person might need: a window, clean comfortable beds, a wc and a shower, a set of drawers, even a desk and a chair. We got a kettle, cups, tea bags and sugar. There was soap in the shower. We were perfectly happy. Especially when we returned home on foot in the middle of the night. It is probably not for you if you plan to spend time in a hotel, if you need space and modern renovated bathroom. It is perfect if you came to explore the city, and all you need from a hotel is to get there easily, have a shower and a cup of tea and have a night's rest.
