This was a low cost, near the train station hotel/option that I specifically chose. It was a very tiny room, but not at all inadequate. The purpose was for sleeping as I was sightseeing all day. Staff were on duty 24/7 and each person I spoke with was helpful and kind. TIP - several takeaways in the area for breakfast (within 3 blocks) and there is a lovely courtyard at the hotel with 3 tables to sit at. There is a self-service coffee machine/bar and snacks available for purchase. There is a room dedicated to luggage storage - we arrived at 8:30am and left our luggage there until 6:30pm without any issue. This is NOT a place for people in a wheelchair or with mobility issues - stairs are everywhere. Some small sets of stairs, 2-3 going down to a small hallway where 4 rooms are located and longer stairways to upper floors. Interesting - there are numerous outlets and USB chargers in the room. A single bed, small room, yet there were 6 electrical outlets and 4 USB chargers.

I suggest adding a dim light in the room or on the desk - there is a step up into the bathroom which is a bit hazardous in the dark. I realize this is an older hotel, yet I could hear the people next door talking - very thin walls. I put in my ear plugs and I was fine.

Had a great stay at Crestfield. Reception persons were helpful and assisted with option to stay at their sister hotel when we returned after a few weeks holiday as the Crestfield was full on our return days. Great value for money for a short stay. Easy walk from Kings Cross/St.Pancras station. A couple of good Thai and indian restaurants close by.

Our room was on the lower (basement) floor so there was some sound from the underground trains. It was not loud enough to bother us or disturb sleep.. and offcourse there is nothing to Hotel can do about it....A tip may be to request a room above the basement.

We were very happy with our choice of this hotel. The best thing about it is the LOCATION. It's literally just a few steps away from Saint Pancras Station. We were taking the Eurostar the next morning, and so the location was perfect and made our connection with the Eurostar as uncomplicated as possible. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the property was CLEAN. We were able to check in to our room early, which was much appreciated. Lots of eating options nearby. Bathroom was very clean.

Travelers should know that the rooms are TINY. (Comfortable, but TINY). The part of the hotel we stayed in didn't have an elevator...fine so long as you don't have a mobility issue. Hallways are narrow. Unfortunately, noise was an issue as very rowdy guests returned in the middle of the night and made a lot of noise in the hallway. We could also hear noise coming from other rooms. There was also noise coming from the STREET in the middle of the night, drunken revelers howling right underneath our window for hours.

the location is perfect, in the corner you have the tube and 1 block away you have 2 big train stations, St Pancras AND King's Cross, connecting to almost anywhere in the UK.

We had the first spring heats during our stay so when we arrived after a day out walking the room was a little hot, and there was no airconditioner just a fan, but it wasn't just in our room, there are no A/C in any rooms.

Pleasantly surprised. The room is small which is normal for London, but the whole place seems to have been refurbished recently, rooms are well maintained and clean. Staff are nice and helpful, wifi works well, the location is good especially for those travelling by train, and underground lines are minutes away. Another location plus is the new development behind King’s Cross - nice restaurants without the excessive central London crowds. And it is charming that they have actual keys which are left at the front desk when going out - also appreciated there is staff on the premises at all times.

Not really a problem, but if staying on upper floors, the narrow stairs can be a bit of a challenge and no lift. Also, not much storage available in the room - a few wall hooks and shelves would be helpful.

For London and the price class of hotel, this was a pleasant surprise. Room and common areas were nice and clean and where a common theme to these types of hotels are that they often have a very run don feel, this absolutely wasn't the case here. Very close to Kings Cross station.

I had a room in the grond/cellar floor - this in itself was not a problem as the room did have a window to a shaft which did provide some daylight. however, this meant that there was a more or less ever present rumble from the trains. It was not as such annoying most of the time - but was notceable when I tried to fall asleep

The location was perfect: only two minutes from St Pancras station. The hotel doesn’t provide breakfast, but there are hundreds of places nearby in which to eat. The shower was powerful, and the bed was really very comfortable! The staff are kind and attentive. There is a pleasant seating area in the little courtyard.

I don’t think at this price point it would be reasonable to expect much more. It already exceeded my expectations. Some people in other reviews mentioned steep stairs, but they didn’t seem very steep to me (go to Amsterdam for steep stairs). There was a lot of road noise that’s to be expected in central London. I didn’t hear any noise from adjacent rooms.

The hotel was ideally placed for an event we were attending. It was so close to St Pancras/Kings Cross Station and yet amazingly in a very quiet street. We are so used to being in the countryside but we were amazed at how quiet the room was. The bed, although small was extremely comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean. The staff were wonderful, helpful and polite. There are many restaurants and cafés nearby. We had an amazing brunch at The Sandwich café. We would definitely go back.

The hotel is perfectly placed in central London. Ideal for walking or taking the tube. So obviously, like Paris and any major city the rooms are small.

I had read a few bad reviews but was pleasantly surprised they bore no resemblance to our stay. We found it easy, roughly 4 mins walk from Kings Cross/ St Pancras station. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us to make our stay comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean as was the shower/toilet. We had the usual tea and coffee making facilities, TV, hairdryer etc. We could not have asked for more. we will certainly be using this hotel again when we next travel.

Nothing really except if we were staying for several days a small portable fridge would be good to keep our fresh milk and perishable foods in.

I like how hospitable and attentive the staff are. We traveled with a baby and they arranged a travel cot without us asking. We requested a ground floor room and we got a very nice room overlooking the terrace. The small details in this hotel are well thought out like the small fan in the room, nice quality soap in the shower, free biscuits and sparkling and still water, extra towels. Everything you would expect from a five star Hotel. To top it off, the hotel is only a few steps from the Kings cross and the underground. Thank you
