Location! Location! Location! This is a lovely building with so much character throughout the facility. There are multiple security (card entry) doors from the public areas to the hallways & the rooms. It is very safe. The room was spacious & clean with a large bathroom. The bar food menu was good, but little offerings for vegetarians. That said, the fish & chips were ok. A dozen pump beers with something for everyone. Breakfast was very good & served to you from a hotplate.

The bar is an exceptional space with many nooks & crannies, but getting served food & drinks seemed way too hard. Staff were slow to serve people at the bar & ordering food required a wait until it was your turn to be served drinks. They seemed too young & inexperiened, a little raggedy lacking any interaction with customers.

Everything was pretty neat in this hotel. Some of the staff were super nice. However, one or two of them were a little condescending, so I thought real class was more likely to be found at 5 stars and real charm at 3 stars. But that aside, the breakfast was delicious once you understood how everything worked. Once you knew that, the waiters became friendlier. The atmosphere tried to be a little snobby but fortunately didn't succeed. The room itself was very nice.

When you looked out of the window, all you could see was a wall. There was also a humming or hissing noise all the time. I thought it was an air conditioning system running, but it wasn't. It wasn't coming from outside either, as closing the window had no effect. Lastly, unfortunately the internet was very weak. In a hotel of this price range I actually expect a corresponding internet.

The property itself is beautiful inside. I didn’t know it was as oldy worldy as it is and honestly wish I’d had a better look around and tried some of the facilities within. Great location, very easy to park in and central for everything. Staff were polite and friendly, couldn’t do more to help.

It’s nothing major, however the room we had the bed was not overly comfortable to say the least. A minor thing for only one night but it’s certainly something that could be improved. The room itself isn’t in keeping with the rest of the building which is a little bit of a shame I must say but totally understandable.

Nice room and the hotel looked very festive.

Breakfast was disappointing, as one of our party was a vegetarian who had to order a sausage to be specially cooked. By the time it arrived, the rest of our party had finished their breakfasts and so the vegetarian had to eat their breakfast alone. In this day and age, a vegetarian diet is no big deal and we could not understand why a simple sausage had to be specially ordered. Other hotels have them readily available at the breakfast servery as standard these days. The Bull should look to be doing the same thing.

Beautiful interior , lovely reception and bar area, room itself was lovely , spacious and maintained to a good standard aside from the A/C. Room itself and bathroom were lovely , comfortable bed , a large TV , a desk and comfortable chair. Nice warm lighting within the room

A/C had an error so room was very warm, less than ideal . Additionally, due to the age of the building and it being kept in good taste , the windows onto a main room let in an incredible amount of ambient noise from outside which is less than ideal.

Loved the age of the hotel and the conversion to a bar/ hotel is really sympathetic to the age And style of the old coaching inn. Rooms were comfortable , beds especially so. Staff were really helpful and during correspondence before my visit they were Really patient and helpful.

Was really the lack of staff in the restaurant on Saturday evening - poor lady was on her own. We booked for 14 people and she was really helpful as allowed us to order dishes that were on the menu in the bar, but weren’t on the alternate menu we were given. Breakfast Also needed additional staff, as the poor team were Running all around trying to keep a full dining room with Food, drinks clearing etc. other than that an excellent stay

Location- right next to the main shopping centre, great powerful shower, good sized room, room was warm, lots of plug sockets, basic condiments on arrival, quiet side of the hotel(rear facing car park). excellent late checkout time of 12pm.Inviting lobby- old fashioned and homely whilst also classy looking.Easy checkout.

Hairs in the bath,window wouldn't close properly,1 bed light didn't work, 1 wall light didn't work, bathroom extractor didn't work- everything was wet and stayed wet for hours after a shower, 1 wardrobe door was stuck and would not open-all of this needs fixing.Anyone can walk through the hotel- on our short stay we saw a man who looked homeless walk through the hotel and was lurking around the carpark looking at vehicles- security needs looked at.

Lovely hotel. A touch if class. We felt really spoilt. Had a lovely afternoon tea and booking was easy. Staff very helpful. Parking was very convenient to the hotel but accessed from a different road and the one way system got us confused a couple of times. Straight out of the front door to the town centre- perfect for a Christmas or any shopping trip. Room was very clean and comfortable. Food lovely. The food and potential choice was excellent though. Would go again.

We found the breakfast staff less attentive than I expected for the quality of the hotel with certain items not filled up and not being asked for our order on entry and having to approach the staff.

Beautiful decor in this 17th century hotel, we had dinner which was excellent. They do a roast dinner every day and it's table service in the bar. Good location to walk around peterborough city centre and recommend going to the cathedral which is a short walk from hotel. Plenty of space in car park.

Wish I had booked a room in the old part of hotel. The newer part is nice but room was very hot and very different aesthetic to old part. Car park is hard to find, needed to call hotel for alternative postcode. Breakfast was a bit chaotic and not a lot of choice for continental.

The property felt secure. Absolutely beautiful building inside. The rooms are large, beds comfortable and you get 2 pillows each. Room had iron, ironing board, hairdryer and fan. Breakfast was fantastic, with a good selection. We also ate in the main bar in the evening, the prices were reasonable with good size portions, would recommend the steak and veg pie! Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is easy to find with own car park

This isn’t a dislike, more of a suggestion for some out side seating around the back of the building.
