Perfect location in Anchorage downtown, very spacious and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. We did not have breakfast so I cannot comment on that. Valet service for the car went smooth. The hotel is for us Europeans very pricy, nevertheless it was one of the best options in town, so we were glad we found a room available. Nice spa area, it was much needed after 2 weeks of wilderness.

Staff was mostly very nice, but there were indeed 1-2 ruder/not too helpful employees in the front desk. They also take the 4pm check-in very seriously, we couldn't check in even 30-60 minutes earlier.

Great location, best restaurant in Anchorage on the top floor (Crows Nest). Could indulge in espressos from Cubby’s and a really amazing health club. The hotel has paintings from Captain Cook’s different voyages which makes it feel like a part museum

Staff was friendly and helpful everywhere. Front desk, concierge - even the wait staff.

Rooms could have been a bit more up-to-date.

I liked the food available from 6AM to 11 PM., the shops in the hotel, and the Captain Cook-related art. The hotel is well located.

Some availability of food or snacks after 11PM would be highly desirable whether purchasable in the in-room refrigerator or in coin operated machines in the hotel. The rooms are too hot at night even with the central fan on, and adjusting the heat has been difficult for me.

It was a dignified and grand hotel with a historical background, excellently harmonizing with the pristine environment of Alaska. Having traveled to many places around the world, it was one of the most satisfying hotels I've stayed in. It is considered excellent in many aspects for the price.

The Wi-Fi was unstable during my stay.

The staff, location, amenities, and Christmas decor were phenomenal. The views and proximity are unmatched. I loved the warmth and charm of this historic hotel. The athletic club's steam room and sauna were the perfect reprieve from winter.

That I had to check out, and couldn't stay longer. Hah. Nothing to dislike. The hotel's restaurants are superb; you don't even need to leave the building which makes your stay feel like a resort.

Everything, the food was fantastic, staff was great, valet was so quick, location excellent, room was big, refrigerators were actually cold unlike some other hotels I’ve stayed at. The view was great too.

the room was too warm for me, however I completely I understand it…they couldn’t turn on the ac yet because it was getting too cold at night risking pipe damage. Being on a higher floor and small window openings the temp was 74 which is 10 degrees warmer then I keep. Again I understand it though.

Great choices for dining plus a coffee bar. Staff everywhere is so kind and accommodating from the front desk to restaurant staff and a super helpful doorman. My room was very clean, had nice toiletries and hot drink options. I checked out an hour late with no problem and the staff kindly stored my bag for the day until I finished activities of day before going to the airport. It’s a bit pricey, but nice to be spoiled in a relaxing, comfortable environment.

Hotel is huge and located in Downtown. Walking distance from mall, restaurants, stores and more. Valet service available. Junior Suite we received was exceptional, huge, and had a great view. Hotel has several restaurants, nightlife, pool, sauna and more. You can't go wrong.

Valet parking was $36 per day. If you don't valet park you have to park in another parking lot further off that still charges to park.

Stayed in a corner room with views of the waterways. Room was clean, bed comfortable, towels very soft. Located in the heart of downtown. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. 2 minute drive to the Alaska Railroad Depot
