Location easy to walk to everything

The room was good. The beds were really comfy. The room was clean and had bathroom accessories. Breakfast was good with tea as well as coffee available 24 hours.The staff were very friendly. There is a shuttle bus that is ready to take you downtown and to the airport free of charge.

Probably the carpet. I think it needs a clean. It was sticky in parts. Oh, and the hotel is near a train station. When the diesel trains are coming you will know about it. It has the loudest and longest horn that goes off about 3 times to warn the pedestrians he's a coming. This goes on during the day. At night I didn't hear it. But it is LOUD.

Location was quiet with adequate parking close to hotel doors. Staff was friendly and efficient. Plenty of hot water available for a soak in the bathtub. Although the hotel was by itself away from the north edge of the downtown business and hotel area, healthy folks in warm clothes could walk about 0.75 miles to some good restaurants/bars downtown. There was a nice warm swimming pool indoors that looked well maintained. The hotel free shuttle brought our family from the railway station, and took me to the airport car rental center late on our arrival in Anchorage by train.

We could wish for a sauna or spa. Breakfast was standard scrambled eggs and some sausages, milk, tea, coffee, juices, bagged pastries and oatmeal packs. No yoghurt or fruit bowls.

We stayed here one night. The hotel is a short walk from the rail depot but just a bit too far to walk if you have several large suitcases. We arrived on the Alaska Railroad and the hotel shuttle was already there just outside of the baggage claim area waiting for the hotel guests that came in on that train. Bear in mind the train came 1 hour late. The shuttle is a huge help getting around downtown Anchorage and will take take you to restaurants and businesses in the downtown area as well as to the airport. I want to specifically recognize the drivers Walter and Romano because they went out of their way to be helpful. Thanks guys!! Romano- the fish made it to Spokane in great shape. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They are the best part of this hotel and I would stay here again just because of them. The room was large. The train whistles were audible but didn't bother us a bit since the room was on the creek side of the building. Sure, the bathroom tile isn't perfect but that is a minor flaw. We didn't try the breakfast.

The staff was super helpful and accomodating when we needed to change rooms after our first night. Breakfast had a good variety and overall the hotel and rooms were clean. We were there for Fur Rondy and it was the PERFECT location - the snow sculptures were in the parking lot across the street, the fireworks were visible from just out our front door, and the carnival and parade were just a short walk up the hill to the downtown area. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting for Fur Rondy!

We stayed on the top floor and it was HOT! It was below freezing outside, but we had to run our air conditioner on full blast for our entire stay in order for the room to be a comfortable temperature. At the other extreme, the pool was freezing cold, but it sounded like they were working to address that.

The hotel is simple and minimal, but covered everything I needed to comfortably stay a night downtown. I think it was a good value. I did appreciate that the packaged soap in the room was small enough to where I didn't feel that I was wasting a whole bar of soap if only staying for a night. The staff was also kind and easy to talk to.

The immediately surrounding seems a little odd for a hotel (mostly surrounded by open air lots), but with a short walk or drive, you can easily get to different restaurants, etc. downtown.

keys didn’t work after a short time. Had to get them reauthorized after using once. I called for the shuttle right after he just left on his last run before shift changed and replacement driver didn’t get the message from desk and when he did finally get to the airport he wasn’t aware we called for pick up and desk never called to say he was coming. it took over 1 1/2 hours to be picked up.

Quick and easy stay, comfortable accommodation. It was a 15min (ish) uber from the anchorage airport. Large room, clean. In the morning, the hotel shuttle took me to the train station at the crack of dawn. Would stay here again.

Easy access to train station. Staff very accommodating and friendly. We were only there for a few hours to sleep so didn’t get time to check facilities out. They held our bags and free shuttle to airport. will stay here again.

Breakfast to go a little bit longer especially when you don’t get in til midnight or after from plane flights. it finishes at 9.

It was a nice clean and beautiful hotel. Has a good trail for walking. Had an uphill climb to go downtown although not far. In the beginning, I used the road and found it to be too slippery in ice (packed snow). Later, figured, there is 2 set of staircases that connects the lower part of the town to downtown. It was easier then - of course, that will not be wheelchair accessible if you are walking. However, most do not walk in Anchorage and rather drive. So it is ok.

Did not get the shuttle from the hotel to the airport when I called them. The hotel told me to call them from the airport when I arrive - but when I called, no shuttle was available. Could be due to Christmas Eve (that is why I give a 10/10 solid rating to the hotel despite this shortcoming). It was 23$ by Lyft. I got the return trip from the hotel to the airport though.
