Breakfast was included, which was nice. Basic fare, but hot and fresh. Excellent coffee. Location was convenient, and we were able to walk mostly everywhere we wanted to see/go. Room was very spacious and comfortable.

Received no assistance with luggage. Parking was expensive, a block away in a sketchy parking lot, and generally inconvenient.

Location was perfect! Within a 5 minute walk to Visitors Center, Trolley Ride, 49th State Brewery, Alaskan Museum and Tia’s Hot Dog Cart. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

No air conditioning so room got a bit stuffy, but large fan was in all rooms and windows open to let in breezes.

Very convenient location, walkable to good dining spots, parks and visitor center; historic ambience, spacious room with kitchenette, worked well for a vacation stay plus met my needs for deskwork I needed to get done, friendly and helpful front desk, hearty included breakfast with a pancake machine that was fun to watch

More towel bars and hooks would have been nice; kitchen faucet needed repair-cold water valve was turned off to avoid a dripping water faucet

We were unknowingly upgraded to a gorgeous corner suite. It was just amazing. The staff at the front desk and housekeeping were so friendly. Highly recommend the property.

I can't say I didn't like it, it's an historic hotel after all, but for such a large room, the bathroom was extremely small.

Old world charm. Wonderful historic prints scattered throughout. Short easy walk to train station. Quiet spacious room. Comfortable bed. Terrific Mexican restaurant recommended to us by receptionist directly across road.

We liked everything.

Had breakfast within a block at a crepes restaurant. Perfect for being close to all of downtown shops and restaurants. Had to pay to park the rental car across the street but that’s expected. Small, Victorian feel in the room and comfortable.

Not as expensive as other choices but the location was perfect for the downtown area. We had stayed at captain cooks hotel a few days earlier and that was about $100 more per night. Both close by to downtown.

Great location to everything. Very clean and staff very pleasant. Breakfast was great as well. I thought our room was a little pricey, but I'd stay here again. The view out are window was great.

Price for room a bit lower.

breakfast was very scanty

Good beautiful hotel, good bed and furniture. It was very hot and there was no air conditioning in the room. The fan helped a little. There is no kettle in the room, there is a coffee machine but no kitchen utensils. We opened the windows because of the heat, but the streets around are very noisy, especially in the evening and at night.

Breakfast was good. The beds were comfortable and the locations was within walking distance of the train and downtown.

We could not control the heat in the room, and it was a bit warm for us. the bathroom was a bit small since this is a historic building.

lovely hotel with lots of charm, great staff and service. we caught train to Whittier and this was a short walk from the depot.

no air conditioning. when we booked we didn’t expect this to be an issue. but the temps went really high. we had to keep windows open and there was a lot of noise on the street below.
