I chose the Satel hotel not by accident - great location - close to the railway station, airport and all the attractions of the High Tatras. Ample parking for cars (paid), great service and welcome at the reception (language, English, German, Polish and Slovak). The check-in process itself (parking fees and city tax) was quick and hassle-free. The rooms are spacious and you can choose between renovated bathrooms (a more expensive stay) and a cheaper one before renovation (my room). Before the renovation, I can't say anything bad - everything worked and was ok. The rooms were cleaned every day - the rooms were very clean. Beds very comfortable and I had a great sleep. I had breakfast included in the price - a great thing, because the buffet was super stocked - ground coffee from the coffee machine (real coffee), a huge selection of dishes for breakfast - everyone will find something for themselves. Modern elevators move quickly and without any problems, despite the 8 floors, running. I will remember my stay at the SATEL Hotel for a long time - it was nice and hospitable - the service was full of professionalism and kindness - I heartily recommend it to everyone hesitating over the choice. Hotel Satel is a very good and very convenient choice for visiting Poprad and the surrounding area, as well as for lovers of the High Tatras. I am delighted and will definitely come back to the Satel Hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located near the city center as well as near the train station, both just a few minutes of walking away. The rooms were recently fully remodeled and therefore they are very modern, which I greatly appreciate. The walk-in style shower was probably my most favorite part of the room. The breakfast was plentiful, freshly made, continuously restocked and tasty, I especially liked the pancakes. It was already our second stay in this hotel and we will gladly come back again, the price was very good considering what we got for it.

The exterior of the hotel may look a little dated, as it is an older building which they are upgrading over the recent years, the rooms and hallways inside are already done, the exterior not yet. The only downside (especially in hot August weather) was that the rooms missed air conditioning, we needed to use the curtains to keep the sun out and open the windows at night to get fresh cooler air.

Hotel SATEL is a solid value, similar in my mind to a "business hotel." Nothing fancy about the room and faciltieis, which were good and serviceable. I had a single room, which was a nice size. Clean and well-appointed. The location is very convenient to both transport and the (few) tourist sights in the town. Given that Poprad itself isn't that close to the mountains, the fact that you can easily and quickly get to the Tatra Express train is very advantageous. The staff was pleasant and professional. I thought it was a good value.

I had no complaints. It's not a quaint historical facility with a charming atmosphere. It's straightforward, solid accommodation. That's what I wanted.

Hotel Satel is a great place to spend some days close to the Tatra Mountains - it is very simple to organize excursions, as the hotel is really close to the train station. (About 5 minutes) We asked for a room with view to the mountains and we got one, and as we arrived too early, the staff was able to help us with an early check-in, that made us really happy. Breakfast was rich and various, the rooms are clean and comfortable. I assume Hotel Satel is among the best hotels of the town.

The nearby area around the train station does not seem to be safe enough, though it is not the hotel's fault, but maybe it would worth talking to the police about this issue. The hotel needs new windows, as those were bit old, but as we read, the renovation is among their closest plans.

The hotel is centrally located, just a short walk away from the downtown shopping area and very close to the main bus and train stations. The rooms are nicely refurbished, the space is bright and clean, the bed is large and comfy, the walk-in shower is really convenient. The toilet is in a separate room from the main bathroom. For breakfast, there were quite a few meal options to choose from. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Just a minor remark: it would be good to have a wall unit/small shelf in the bathroom, where guests could keep their cosmetic bags, etc. The breakfast hall is a little outdated.

The hotel was super clean and nice. The beds were comfy. The receptionist was very eager to help us. We enjoyed the bathroom as well, it was superior. When we turned off the lights in the bathrooms, they switched into night lights, which came handy. In the room every information was given on pre-printed booklets. The windows were old, but it was communicated on a sticker that it will be replaced in the near future.

The room could be separated with another door from the aisle. Also, a light switch for the corridor's lights would be useful from the room's side, so you don't have to walk in the dark. Take these as recommendation for improvement, not as a harsh critique ;)

Despite of the building and the hotel itself is old fashioned, our reconditioned room was perfect. The windows were still old but it did not affect our opinion as there was a beautiful view to the mountains. The quality and quantity of the breakfast was perfect, fits the three star level perfectly. We are also satisfied with the parking and the surround (it is highly safe, as the hotel is right behind the building of the city police). The staff was kind and helpful in any questions we had (and we had a few).

The old design is still noticable but didn't affect the comfort.

The staff was very nice and friendly, the room was clean and spacious. There was a guarded parking space right in front of the hotel (for additional costs though). Overall it was a great stay worth the money.

The bathroom was clean and lovely but the shower easily leaks water onto the bathroom floor, since there is no barrier to catch the water (can be somewhat mitigated by putting the foot towel right under the shower step). Also coffee could have been better during breakfast.

This hotel is perfectly located just 5 minutes walk from both bus / train station and city centre. Roughly 15 minutes walk to Aquacity Poprad. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The newly refurbished room was very clean and comfortable with all the essentials. Housekeeping attended daily. I understand double glazing is planned in near future hence more improvement to follow. En-suite bathroom which was also renovated was modern and stylish. Variety of options for breakfast. I also chose to dine in the hotel on couple of evenings and found the options to be good value for money. What really makes this hotel stand out is the level of care from the staff from the management, reception to the catering / bar staff. Helpful, professional with great customer service. I thoroughly recommend hotel Satel and will definitely return when next in Poprad.

The view from the hotel was amazing, and the breakfast was really delicious. It was also nice that we booked two room together, and they were next to eachother.

Our curtains wouldn't close fully, so we would wake up easier in the morning, that was a bit of a letdown. Also the beds could have been more comfortable, but they were okay for a short stay. And the WiFi on the 6th floor was useless sadly, we could not reach anything with it.
