Great atmosphere, lovely and super helpful staff. Bed was extremly comfortable. 6min to Waterfront by Uber. We felt very safe.

Due to early arrival they offered us to have breakfast but did not communicate that it will be charged. Unimportant detail, but at this price guests should not be charged for take away water bottles.

We had an incredible stay at the blackheath lodge in Cape Town. Central location to other neighborhoods on Cape Town, good quality breakfast, small pool area is serene - but the best part of our stay here was the service. The concierge team (Robyn and Riano) went above and beyond to help us plan our trip, providing us with recommendations for tours, restaurants - whatever we needed. They go the extra mile to ensure that every moment of your stay is comfortable and that you have everything you need. Thank you, Robyn and Riano!

This is a true BNB hotel - not the place to come if you want a hotel with a party vibe. That’s not what we were looking for, but good to note if that’s what you want.

Very nice breakfast, cozy and comfortable bar and lounge space, lovely art, welcoming staff.

Only down side is because the rooms are spaced out, some of them aren't on the generator during loadshedding hours.

This is an absolute gem ! Felt welcome , comfortable , well supported , safe . Small , but absolutely beautiful . The most friendly of staff ever ! Nothing was too much trouble , they all made our stay very special . Great breakfast , pretty well kept courtyard garden with pool , comfortable loungers - even put out selection of sun creams to use . Free upgrade to fabulous suite . Very Early check in accommodated to coordinate with U.K. flight (which arrived Caoe Town at 8:30 am ) Can’t wait to return , thank you !

Can’t say enough good things about Blackheath Lodge - it’s really an absolute gem. The location is outstanding, easy walk to the sea and plenty of restaurants nearby, and gorgeous relatively short walk to V+A Waterfront. And very centrally located so easy Uber or taxi to all sites, but without the traffic of the CBD or V+A. The property itself is so cool — great decor, super comfortable rooms, and great views from the upper floors. But best of all is the staff. Karin, Riano, and everyone at the property were absolutely amazing. Never felt so well taken care of, and so grateful to them for their fanatic service. Cape Town is such a vibrant and wonderful destination, and Blackheath is absolutely the best place to stay.

Our first time in SA, and from the moment we stepped through the door, we were treated like royalty. Our host Riano gave us a little orientation info, welcome drinks, and then showed us our sumptuous penthouse family room. We were offered an upgrade to their new self-contained apartment, but opted for our original choice. It looked amazing though. Our room/suite was huge, comfortable, spotless, and had fantastic views through every window. We had everything we needed and more. The beds were huge and super comfy, the shower was luxurious and the rooftop terrace was just a joy. The pool was clean and warm, and we used it every day despite it being winter! There were always snacks we could help ourselves to, and breakfasts were filling and tasty. Everything freshly prepared and hot. Throughout our stay we felt exceptionally safe and we were so well looked after. From restaurant suggestions to checking details for our planned activities. There was always someone to greet us at the door when we got back, and Riano even checked our Uber drivers and tour guides before we got in. Blackheath Lodge is an absolute gem, in a great neighbourhood, with the warmest welcome you could hope for. Don't hesitate to book!

There was really only one minor thing. Breakfast was supposed to start at 7. However, not everything was out and ready for us, which delayed the hot food order. This meant we were always having to rush, as we had trip pick-up times to be ready for. Perhaps allowing people to order the night before might take some pressure off.

What a wonderful stay, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Close enough to all the place that one wants to get to. Would definitely return. Thank you

Could not fault the service! Room and food were excellent! Location was excellent and ubers can easily reach it. A security guard sat outside the hotel in the evening and overnight, and made sure we got out taxis safely. Godfrey, Karin, Robin and Mimi are a credit to the hotel industry. Never have we been greeted so warmly as weary travellers. They all took the time to introduce themselves and were on first name terms with their guests by day 2! I would recommend this place to anyone going to South Africa.

That we had to leave!

The staff were incredible - they knew guests by their names, always asking about our days, giving recommendations or booking restaurants for us when we didn't have one on the first night. They also gave a thorough run-through of the city on arrival including safety precautions when wandering around. As we were staying for 10 nights they offered us a free upgrade halfway through our trip. The interiors are stunning and i would like the interior designer to decorate my home!

This is a small hidden gem in the city! From the minute we stepped into the Lodge, we got warmly welcome even with an arrival after midnight. Karin and the team are the best possible hosts you can ever imagine. The Villa we stayed in, THANK YOU for the upgrade, was large enough to throw a party in and greatly designed. For those of you who enjoy breakfast, you get it all.
