Amazing place! We stayed in Thylitshia Villa Country Guest House only for one night. Nevertheless, we had a great time! Our room was well equipped and clean. The host was very nice and for dinner prepared for us his famous delicious ostrich. Our car had been washed in the morning, which was a really nice surprise after two days of safari in Addo Elephant Park :-) Strongly recommend this place to everybody as most likely you will not find a better place in Oudtshoorn area!

Everything was perfect!

It a nice property residing at a good location near the main city - the ostrich capital of the world. Its an old farmhouse but very well managed and nicely handled by new owner. The couple is gracious enough to help you before you arrive the property and try to understand your specific needs or requirement. The room are nice and spacious. It has a nice pool and garden area to enjoy evening coffee. The host cooks great food and serves lovely breakfast as per your specs. Its quite close to nearby Ostrich farmhouse where you can visit early morning with no rush or crowd. Great place to enjoy peace and tranquility in a desert!!

Nothing as such. Power cut and a better wifi is not a owner or property problem

Nice little family business. Everyone we met were very sweet. The room was pretty, it had electric blankets and a very large bathroom.

Because it's winter, it was rather cold in the room and in the dining area. The room did have a small electric heater, but it wasn't enough to vest the room up. Luckily the electric blankets made the bed nice and warm and we still slept very well.

Thylitshia Villa Country Guesthouse is a very lovely place to stay. Lollies is a great host and tended to our every need, including where to go, where to eat, cautions about weather effect on certain destinations, and more. The room was so cosy and comfortable, we were dissapointed that we only stayed for one night. The food was excellent! Lollies served his famous ostrich fillet with red wine sauce, and it was cooked perfectly. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee extremely good! Highly recommended!

what a gem! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. In fact, we would have loved to stay longer. Next time, we will book the accommodation with dinner as it comes highly recommended. Lollie, the owner, and also the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The garden, pool and accommodation are very clean and neat and lovingly kept. We will be back!

It's a beautiful house about 10km from city center, very nicely decorated with all the facilities. Much appreciated the electric blanket, as it was cold and windy. Host was very welcoming and chatted with us, and shared stories. Very nice dinner of ostrich fillet with wine sauce and also good breakfast

Host didn't inform us the charges for the dinner or wine in advance, and presented a bill which was rather steep.

Hospitality at its best! We had a lovely stay at Thylitshia, a beautiful location and a great base to explore Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp nearby. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast was top notch. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway!

Nothing, our stay exceeded our expectations.

Ons hou van rond ry en ons land verken. Hierdie was ń baie spesiale besoek aan ń besonderse plek. Van arriveer tot totsiens. Die gasheer van die gastehuis is ń top shef en sy personeel is uitstekend. Kamers is super gemaklik en elegant, dekor soos uit die boeke. Besoek gerus die gastehuis in ons Klien Karoo..... En vind siele rus.

What a gem! Perfectly situated just outside of Oudtshoorn to use as a base for daily excursions. The host and staff were friendly and accommodating. The pool was clean and perfect for the hot Karoo summer. Rooms kitted with comfy beds, ice cold aircons and beautiful, private bathrooms. Breakfast was to order and bloody good. Our muddy car even got a complimentary wash in the morning.

Lovely owner who opened his wine collection to us, and regaled to us many stories of living in the area. Though we were not able to sample his renowned ostrich in red wine sauce. Very nice pool and garden. Location also very safe. Very large and well-equipped bathroom.
