The location, accommodation and facilities were wonderful, comfortable, warm, peaceful and quiet. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The restaurant service, dinner quality and presentation of the food did not meet the expectation set by De Denne's website and write up of Mabelle restaurant. The staff was very friendly, but the service is not very pro-active. An order was missed, there was too long of a waiting time for wine service, waiting for glasses, we had to open the bottles ourselves, long waiting time for correcting of the order that was missed. At breakfast no-one took an order for hot breakfast until we asked. I am sure this can all be improved by some more training and reviewing the presentation and food quality actually being brought out on the plates. The wine list was fantastic though :-)

Breakfast was not up to standard for this property. I just think they should check their services and breakfast options . Staff was not available when we looked for cutlery. We opened the cupboard to assist ourselves. They didn't top up the buffet after 2 other tables had breakfast before us.

Nice place to stay, great room, great breakfast, great kitchen staff and a car wash every morning - thanks a lot for that!

Seems we had been unlucky: catched a room not yet supplied through an power inverter (were hit by loadshedding) and Wifi did not work properly (no loadshedding issue). Suggestion to the mgmt: suggest to actively inform guests about such things - then its half the problem.

When the road turned to unpaved, I was hesitate, not knowing where to head. When the dust settled, I was in the Mother Nature of South Africa, dreaming back to 100 years ago but with modern elegance. Everyting from the staff to the room to the food ...Exelant place ....Ouer stay was pleasent and warm....the staff are very good and neat ...The room was hi qality neat and very clean from the bedding to to the smalles detal.....Exalent place to stay

really large rooms, 2 pools and amazing views overlooking the ostriches and sunsets. staff are really kind and friendly, we even had a flat tyre and the staff kindly fixed this for us we were very grateful! food is delicious breakfast and dinner, the ostrich tour organised by the guest house was really good would definitely recommend!

the bed is really hard so we didn’t sleep that great which was disappointing as everything else exceeded our expectations! this was highlighted to the person in charge

There is nothing not to like at De Denne. Everything was even better than we expected. Restaurant food is excellent! Highly recommend eating there. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Beautiful views - quiet and peaceful. Staff are multilingual and very friendly. I even got a car wash!

Location of the property was amazing and, so was the breakfast. Watching the sunset and the stars at night from the pool area was certainly breathtaking.

We ordered a veg stir fry for dinner and there was a very small portion of veggies in comparison to the rice. Upon request, we were given more veggies so not a negative rating per say. The stir fry wasn't really stir fry, but more like rice with veggies. Even thou the staff is helpful and willing to assist, they struggle to understand the requests from time to time which could be avoided.

We had a excellent breakfast and superb dinner. Marilyn was a star . All the other staff were very friendly and helpful. The guesthouse is on a farm next to an Ostrich farm, so we could see and hear the birds. The rooms were very comfy and beautifully furnished. The beds are nice and big and comfortable. We really enjoyed staying there and will do so again when we go to Oudtshoorn. They even wash your car if you ask.

Really beautiful place away from town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and very good restaurant. They even washed my car.

It is a long way from town although Oudtshoon didn't seem that good.
