The hotel is located approximately 1.4 km from the Gothic quarter. You have about as much walking distance to the beach and the sea. The hotel is new. Everything in it is at a high level. Elevators, reception and hall, swimming pool and cafe on the roof. The staff is extremely professional and kind. They will help you at any time. I would like to point out the exceptional cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms are cleaned every day. Housekeepers prepare new bed linen every day. New towels. clean bathrooms. I think I can say that this is the neatest and cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The air conditioning in the rooms works perfectly, you will not be hot even during the hottest days. I especially like the pool on the roof and the amazing view of the city. In short, if you are planning a stay in Barcelona, this is definitely the hotel for you. Don't be confused because this hotel is a bit cheaper than those in the city center! Considering how good it is, it could be significantly more expensive.

We had a great stay at The Golden Hotel Barcelona. I had booked a double bed but received a confirmation of 2 singles.This was rectified on our arrival.The staff were very nice and helpful.The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable.The aircon was great.Well needed it the 30C nighttime temperature for the first few days of our stay.!Lovely toiletries. The minifridge was a great and very handy addition!The rooftop pool was lovely with great views. The lobby was cool and comfortable. The Spa access was great and really enjoyed our day there.Fabulous!

just somedays tea coffee and milk were not replenished and the towels were not changed but this is just minor.Maybe there could be a bit more information on food/drinks offerings and times as it wasn't very clear.

I liked how the hotel was tidy offering a wide variety of services. Room was spatious and we’ll organized. Staff and cleaning personelle were genuine and kind.

The bar in the lobby often was missing the bar tender and wait times were a bit long. The door of the bathroom did not fully close so recommend double checking it. I’d recommend more cleaning of the pool as with a lot of kids and people, and being small, sun lotion in the water or bandaids on edge of the pool could be spotted.

Good location and nice scandinavian style interior. Beds are good and our bathroom had two seperate sinks which we liked. The swimming pool and hot tub on the roof was really impressive and always super clean.

It happened two times that housekeeping only put one clean towel, even though it was a double room and pretty obvious that there were two people staying in the room. Also it seemed like they didn’t have extra duvet cover when they changed the sheets one time, so instead they wrapped the duvet in a big sheet. Of course it does not stay in like that so we slept with a duvet with half a cover which I really dont like as you have no idea how often they are cleaned. Not the worst thing that can happen of course but thought I should mention it.

The hotel was really nice and clean, rooms comfortable and quiet, and the staff super friendly. We were able to check in early which was a nice welcome. The hotel also has a lovely rooftop terrace with a pool and a jacuzzi for daytime and a bar for evening visits.

The location was quite far from everything, so using taxis or walking minimum of 20min was necessary. Another thing I didn't really like was the 'free' spa experience - their website said it will include Bath robes and slippers but they were both with extra cost, and the spa facilities were quite outdated with some of them not working properly.

Everything was great!!!! location in clean and quite neighbourhood - 20-25min walk to down town, and 15min walk to non smoking beach. Stuff was friendly and all the people that stayed during the week, was mostly families and couples - so night time was quite, that ir very important, when traveling with kids and after long day, nees a good night sleep.

Our room was located on the yard side, just near the place where all the kitchen ventilation was, and every morning we woke up with a room full with kitchen smell. Breskfest a little pricey for what we could get, but overall everything was tasty. Surprised that pancakes wasn’t there… our toddler would appreciate them more, than all the pastries!!!!

Hotel is at the great location, metro is 5 minutes by foot. There are a lot of places to eat around. There is also Westfields Shopping center that is close by in case you need anything. The room was clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

The price for breakfast is ridiculous. 18 EUR per adult and 14 EUR for child is simply too much. This is more than the price for lunch in the city center, we got 3 courses with a glass of wine for 15 EUR at the "Tosca del Carme" restaurant (which we highly recommend it is amazing). I feel like this is simply not right, we are paying for the room and a breakfast should be a convenience for us. If you stay in the hotel you have "Tierra Burrito Bar" that is excellent and there is "Bar Restaurant Diamàntic" around the corner - you can take Bikini (Toast with chease and ham) or a sandwich there, with coffee it is 3.8 EUR (far away from 18 EUR).

We real loved our stay in Barcelona! The hotel was wonderful and it made the experience even better! The receptionist, Ramon, welcomed us warmly and offered us a room even before the official check in time, as we arrived way earlier. Diana, one of the waitresses, was very friendly with us every day at breakfast. The breakfast was varied and had options for all tastes: one of the best breakfasts we ever had! We truly recommend the hotel to others visiting Barcelona: it does not disappoint!
