It's been said hundreds of times before but the location is perfect and the seaview rooms are worth every penny/pound/euro. The beds were really comfortable with a television on the wall facing the bed. We never put the TV on when on holiday but the choice is there for those who do. The room had a very spacious clean toilet and shower area with complimentary toiletries . There is no food or drink service but there is a coffee machine and a vending machine in the reception area. There is a small fridge for water/juice/chocolate. The staff were always smiling and cheerful. We were in room 401 with a corner balcony and it was great sitting there watching the world go by. We have booked to return at the end of May.

The property was situated fronting the main beach in the old town extremely convenient to both the sea and the town centre. Really happy with the location and amenities surrounding the property. The staff was friendly and helpful. The safe key was free, the room was clean and satisfactory although the mini fridge did not work. There are also kettles and cups etc available on request which I assume were also free and the aircon was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

There was no pool or bar available to lounge at the hotel which was a minus although plenty of restaurants nearby and the supermarket was a little bit away.

Perfect location, 5 min stroll to Old Town from Poniente side. Our room (404), with sea view was ideal... spotlessly clean, looks like it was recently decorated etc. Bathroom was just the right size, shower one of the best I'e come across...no complaints whatsoever. We 'borrowed' a kettle and mugs from reception, such a nice gesture, at no charge, and also the room safe was free of charge with no deposit for the key either. The lift to all floors was never a problem, although sometimes when the cleaners commandeered it during the day meant a little wait, but what the heck lol. The staff at reception were always polite and helped with any requests. We're looking forward to returning to Mar Blau later this year.. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

Tiniest of complaints... somewhere to place shampoo/bodywash in the shower instead of having to put them on the floor. Difficult with mobility issues... otherwise everything fine.

tv could be updated not good reception for tv, no English channels and could not connect Wi-Fi to tv or lead as no hdmi socket , no shelf in shower for soap etc

The location was good and the views from the front rooms of the hotel. Staff where very welcoming and helpful. Rooms where well presented with some nice touches like a mini fridge, free safety deposit box, Air Con, facility to request a kettle and mugs. The rooms where very clean and fresh.

The step down onto the hotels terrace from the main road. Bit of road noise. No breakfast option, no onsite bar or lounge. The hotel is not suitable for those with walking disabilities, as step down as mentioned, then steps up into the hotel, no ramp or chairlift. TV in room only had Spanish channels why can't they get some English channels.

,The location was perfect. Right on the seafront in the middle of the old town. Hotel is simple but provides everything you need for a great stay. Comfortable bed, air conditioning, nice bathroom and perfect view. There is also a little fridge to keep drinks cool and you can ask for a kettle and mugs if you want for you room.

It would be nice to have had patio furniture on the balcony. We had a city view room which had a balcony but we had to keep taking the dressing table chair out every time we wanted to sit on the balcony. Only the seaview rooms had balcony furniture.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional on arrival. Our room was ready 2 hours early. The guy on reception was extremely friendly and so helpful. Lift was spotlessly clean and fresh. Room had an amazing sea view and balcony we wer on the 6th floor, so the view of ponietie Beach was amazing, The room was clean and fresh, shower was powerful, and just what we needed after a day on the beach check-in and out was great I can not recommend this place enough made for a great experience. I will most definitely rebook this hotel

Nothing it was amazing

spacious and clean, value for money as the location was perfect, no pool or restaurant but was fine with that as beach and tapas bars close by, quiet location and only a short walk to the old town, bus stop outside hotel if need to travel further out, beach was literally on the doorstep and the views from balcony were amazing. Friendly and welcoming staff on reception desk, rooms cleaned every day and towels changed if you needed to.

We had a very stressful journey and received a really warm welcome at the Mar Blau. Our room was perfectly clean, good sized bathroom with walk in shower, small fridge, free safe, comfy twin beds, balcony with table & 2 chairs. Nice touch even had UK plug adaptors. The view from the balcony with a sea view is really lovely, we had 1st floor but would ask for a higher one if we visited again. location is perfect & there are some lovely restaurants close by too. This is not a luxury hotel with pool, bar, etc but we didn’t want that.

Asked for a kettle before arriving & none in room - what we got was a travel kettle with 2 ancient (fixed with silicone!) mugs. Just invest in some kettles it will help your reviews. Shower leaked out on to bathroom floor and balcony door didn’t lock.
