Alfons Hotel

Wide array of services, smartly thought out for the kind of tourists we were - umbrellas on loan, possibility to take a shower while retrieving our luggage from storage at the end of the last day, one can order picnic sandwiches for the next day at the beach, and their massagist was extraordinary.

Not much to object, really. Some sound of the neighboring rooms or corridor can filter through at times, but it was quite muffled, suggesting it was more of a "loudness at the source" problem than anything going on with the insulation.

My stay at Alfons Hotel was excellent! The hotel is very modern and clean. My room was spacious enough for my needs. The location is only about a 3 minute walk from the center with all the shops and restaurants. Which I actually preferred because it is quiet and easily accessible for a taxi. Many of the small boutique hotels in the center can’t quite be reached by car. And the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

I didn’t find anything that I didn’t like.

Nice cost-benefit ratio. The hotel seemed recently renovated, so the decor is beautiful and modern. Great light design. The bed is extra comfortable, with nice pillows and sheets. I was working from home and the wifi worked great for zoom calls. The staff is very friendly and helpful - Gràcis por la amable recepción, Carlos, el chico italiano y la chica que trabajava por las noches. Muito obrigada!

I booked the room with a terrace only to find out that the terrace "view" is to the internal part of the building, so all I could see was a roof and the other rooms - and the pictures here don't show you that. If you align your expectations about this, you'll be fine.

Very friendly staff!! Great breakfast, there was something new every day (pastries mostly). Great location, close to the city center. The room is big enough, the shower is great.

Poor acoustic insolation, could hear the upstairs neighbor stomping around all night, plus we were looking on the loading dock of the hotel.

Great location, staff super helpful with recommendations and helping to organise taxis etc. On site spa is great and I had such a good foot massage that I fell asleep mid treatment.

Sound proofing isn’t great so you can hear when people are walking down corridor/them speaking and in their rooms. I would recommend bringing ear plugs if you are a light sleeper

The room was very spacious and modern. The layout was great. The staff were friendly and the breakfast had a lot of options with a lovely area to enjoy it.

Despite the nice bathroom the toilet seat was slightly loose. The view were the opposite rooms and a lounging area so it was a bit uncomfortable to have the curtains open or sit at the balcony.

Location: walking distance to the historic/pedestrian only centre. Staff: lovely team, couldn’t do enough to please. Raquel was super helpful and lovely! Accommodation: newly refurbished, everything was spotlessly clean, comfortable and in general good value for money! I would definitely recommend it!

Fabulous hotel. Clean, fresh, lovely decor, friendly and helpful staff, great location, excellent room, great air conditioning, lovely warm shower, felt like 4 star hotel. Wonderful breakfast- wide variety of options including gluten free.

Couldnt get the hang of heating... Seemed cold.... Cold and damp bathroom when showering and towels always damp.... Suggestiion.. heated towel rails in bathroom

Very clean, great air con & friendly staff. The rooms were cleaned daily. Hairdryer, towels and body wash were provided. There was no mobile reception but the WiFi was VERY good - so much so that I could use Zoom. The hotel kindly let us leave our luggage in their store room when checking out.

Check-in was at 12pm but we had to wait another 40 mins (something which also happened to other guests).
