Breakfast is amazing and loads to chose from, friendly staff in the breakfast room, did not use the pool as we walked to the beach most days, Reception are amazing and very helpful the book library is gret for travelers who prefer books to a kindle

Bar is lovely but unlike the hotel is very clinical also it shuts down early so a walk back from town and a drink is a no no

Really helpful staff. Everything we needed was on hand. No difficulty finding street parking. Short walk into town. Breakfast is excellent.

Nothing.

Good location. Friendly and good quality hotel with a nice holiday atmosphere. Excellent facilities and spotlessly clean. Easy to walk to the beach and busy town centre but hotel is in a more relaxed area which was perfect.

Probably not a big enough pool area for the size of the hotel. Unless you are one of the get up and put your towel on a sunbed brigade, you won't get one after first thing in the morning. Sun terrace on the roof also has a few sunbeds which were available on occasion.

A great hotel which exceeded our expectations. The double room was bigger than expected from the photos, and the balcony, whilst small, had a table and chairs and a drying rack perfect for wet towels and swimwear. Our balcony had a view of the mountains and the sea and overlooked the road, but was really quiet. The aircon in the room was great, really powerful and perfect in the hot weather. The breakfast was great, lots of choice with cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, bread and cooked breakfast. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and gave us advice on how to get to Frigiliana, a lovely little town to visit for dinner, which could be reached by bus. The pool was great and we had no issues getting sun beds each day. The hotel is also well located, a short walk to the beach and around 15 min walk to the old town and Balcon D’Europa, with lots of restaurants/bars. All in all a great stay!

The Hotel Villa Flamenca is pretty much halfway down a one-way street off the main(ish) road that comes down from the A-7 and heads through the top of Nerja towards Maro. It's in a great position to either walk down to the beach (keep going down the road) or to turn right and head down into the Old Town where there's a huge array of bars, restaurants, culture, etc. It's approx. 1km away so a gentle 10-15min stroll whereas the beach is only five minutes (but beware, it's a 1 in 4 hike back up!). If you're a runner, head back up to the main(ish) road and run along the pavement - a good 5km along and back will take in some breathtaking views of the bay. Our room was very nice - it was in the newer block on the ground floor, quiet with two single beds pushed together that were comfortable, the air con worked very well and the shower was powerful (though you had climb into the bath to use it which wasn't a problem for us but just in case folks are not quite so mobile). We had a nice little terrace outside too with a couple of comfy chairs and a table. The breakfast was exceptional - a very wide choice of both continental and more traditional hot fare, eggs cooked to order included. Also good choice of juices, breads, cereal, etc. And it opened until 11 which is later than normal so you get a lie in! There are two bars, one out the front and one by the pool. Both are well priced and very nice to sit in/outside of. The staff who swap between them are very friendly and hard-working. There's a range of snacks and more 'restaurant' food - we ate out more than in but when we did eat at the hotel, we enjoyed it. The bar is well stocked drinks-wise and opens until midnight. As a few others have mentioned, there aren't an enormous number of beds but we never found that was a problem.

We really enjoyed our time here. You can hire towels for a refundable deposit for use around the pool which was helpful. It's also not far to drive/get a bus to places like Frigiliana (or further out to Competa). Only true downside is parking if you have a hire car - particularly at weekend, really hard to find a space, in some cases anywhere near the hotel. I'd thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The hotel and the rooms are exceptionally clean and well taken care of, which is very appreciated and says a lot about the place. The room was comfortable, clean and had a great balcony which we used regularly. The pool and sunbathing area was also very nice, with nice landscaping and plenty of sunbathing beds and other seating options. The pool is quite large and can accommodate kids playing and adults wanting to take a dip. The breakfast buffet is highly-recommended and well worth it - lots of options for everyone, with fresh juices, fruits, baked good etc. Luque's Snackbar was also a hit, for a really tasty burger. The hotel is a short 10 minute walk down to the main beach of Playa de Burriana, and to Nerja's town centre (shops, restaurants etc.). The main bus station, with buses to Malaga is also a short walk-away. Super friendly staff who are always available.

Nothing to complain about.

Pool bar and restaurant were brilliant. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and facilities and amenities were up to scratch. It was lively and busy but not overbearing or noisy. The music by the pool was a good volume and good music too. Drinks were great, the value for money with both food and drink was brilliant. Hotel arranged the taxi and transfers for the airport for us. Mini bar was well stocked and only €1 per product. Bank machine and small shop right outside hotel entrance. The breakfast was absolutely amazing - there was everything and anything from a fruit bar, range of juices, bread bar, sweet treats, cereals, hot food counter and cold food counter, coffee and tea machine, good system , clean and modern eating area, well run and managed by staff. Cannot fault the cleanliness or friendliness at all.

Our room was a tad on the small side but for two people it was just right and done the job. Balcony had a view just at a wall over a small square with a tent roof but this wasn’t an issue for us personally. However bathroom was lovely spacious and clean. Once we were unpacked and settled the room was just right but I can see why some might see it as too small. No full length mirror was the only thing that really bothered us as two girls but again this is a minor issue.

Staff were very friendly welcoming and helpful at all times.Everywhere was immaculately clean, the shower was piping hot at all times of day, fresh towels were provided daily, the view of the mountains from our room was gorgeous,we opted for room only as we wanted to explore the area so can't comment on meals but the hot food we ordered in the bar was delicious. The hotel is in a quiet area but the beach is a 10 minute walk away and local shops and cafes 5 minutes away. There is a bus that takes you to Frigiliana for 1.20 euro well worth a visit.

I can't think of 1 negative comment.

Lovely friendly clean hotel which has improved greatly

Have stayed in the Villa Flamenca many times over several years and we were very disappointed to find no entertainment in the evenings anymore and a real lack of atmosphere existed. We have often come with our grandchildren who have always loved the evening entertainment (especially Neil) but we think they would find it a little dull now. We were told the entertainment had stopped because of the neighbours after all these years? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Very clean and comfortable room, excellent wifi and good location. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Excellent food with good choices for breakfast and in both in the bar and restaurant and good value. Although the hotel is a bit away from the beach (Burriana Beach is closest) and the main centre of Nerja, it was an easy walk to both. Lovely mountain views from our room. Excellent value for money.

The hotel doesn't have any parking so it's a bit of a lottery to get a street parking space close by; we had hired a car for our week's stay and travelling in January we didn't have too much trouble but this might be a different story in high season. A minor niggle was that you don't have a control switch for the balcony light - these are on some sort of timer and would be on until late at night and come on again at 6.15am, which in January is way before sunrise and frequently woke me up.
