Lakshmis Hotel

Stay was memorable and the location is a plus, it is very close to Ella railway station. But the road to the property is very steep. But the property caretaker Mr.Rashan helped us by hiring tuk tuk from the main road. Mr. Rashan was very helpful throughout the stay.

The owner and staff were super friendly. The room was very clean (towels and sheets as well). Very comfortable bed. Shower was working properly - good pressure and always warm water. Beautiful view from the balcony! We took cooking class and it was very tasty. Good location - close to the center and still quiet. Nothing to complain :)

The place is located on the hill, therefore you need to walk a bit to reach it. We went up and down a few times per day and it was okey, but especially last meters may not be easy for elder people.

Big room with all facilities required, big balcony, comfy bed and nice bathroom. The real plus here were the staff, Lakshmi herself and Rashan who was always looking to help in any way possible. We spent lots of time chatting with Lakshmi who was a very interesting person. This hotel was a late change as our original booking turned out to be up a very scary road/track and we could not imagine using it at night.

I stayed here five days. Living in nature with a caring family was the experience I had. The employees were extra wonderful and attentive. They always prepared meals the way I wanted it and always on time and absolutely delicious. I ate all my meals there and didn't bother eating outside because it was so good. Great sumptuous breakfast to order each morning. The room was spacious, with a beautiful balcony and an amazing view of verdure. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of pillows to make it very cozy. The bed has mosquito nets to keep you from bugs. There were many bugs. I had the doors shut between 5-7 pm and that helped. The bathroom had everything I needed for comfort. The hotel arranged all my tours every day and they were extremely personalized and excellent for a reasonable price.

The water in the shower was tepid and not hot enough each morning. Later during the day it heated up. The entrance to the hotel had several steep hills to walk up and there are three wheelers that for a fee would drive you up. Someone with severe health problems would not be able to climb up. The views are well worth it.

Short walk to the main area of Ella, great views from the room. Hot water!! Mosquito net, nice breakfast overall great stay.

a bit of maintenance here and there can be done in the rooms. but nothing major taking into consideration the price. Overall nice stay. only one feedback is to put a bit of signages when walking up as it was a bit tricky finding the hostel.

The boy from the reception was very nice and helpful. Hot shower and this thing in Sri Lanka it's great :) The view is nice also.

At the end they charge us 10 % extra for service,besides taxes. I stayed quite a long time in Sri Lanka and no one charged us at the hotel for service charge. It should at least be written on booking.

We absolutely loved our stay at lakshmis hotel. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They were always attentive but still gave you your space. We loved chatting to them all! The view was incredible, as was the food. We couldn't believe how reasonable the food and drinks were. We thoroughly recommend for being there. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. We cannot wait to return! Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

Very well located in the center of Ella. You can easily walk to go to the Main Street or railway station. The staff was very friendly, and breakfast is extremely good for a very affordable price. Beautiful views from the rooms.

The access to the hotel is not easy for drivers. Very steep road!

Amazing balcony and views!

A dog was barking each night. This is not the hotel’s fault, but it still occurred and ruined an otherwise peaceful and comfortable sleep.

The view, the staff, the food, the stay - everything was a 10/10. The staff felt like family, helped us with everything. I will definitely come back to stay here. They have the most stunning view, you can literally just stay in the hotel the whole day and just stare at the view . The breakfast was yummy!! lovely. This stay was the best part of our entire srilankan trip.
