The hotel is great value for the money, it’s very charming and the rooms are large. The hotel is located in a quiet area where you can enjoy peace and relax, yet it’s only a 5 minute walk from the train station and all the local restaurants and bars. The staff are incredibly helpful, welcoming and kind. A huge thanks to Madushan who manages the hotel and the staff who are 10/10. They provided an incredibly welcoming experience from the second that I stepped foot onto the property to the moment that I left. They made my stay memorable!

- The beds are extremely comfortable! - The whole accommodation was exceptionally clean. Probably one of the cleanest experiences we've had on our Sri Lanka trip. - The bathroom was modern and spacious. - Very short walk to the city. - The host lent us umbrellas whenever it rained and was all in all exceptionally hospitable - The accommodation looks exactly like the uploaded pictures - The hosts are very helpful and uncomplicated - It was really peaceful and quiet - especially when you consider that the city center was practically right around the corner.

- no AC (but there is a fan installed on the ceiling) - unfortunately we struggled with warm water. At some days we had to shower cold - especially in the evenings. - it's not something the host can influence, but the neighbourhood oftentimes burned something... we rarely had fresh air. On some days, the smoke was really noticeable

Staff were exceptional, thank you! Breakfast was served very promptly and was very good! We watched giant squirrels climb above use every morning which was a massive plus! The rooms themselves were spacious and clean. Gave a very cared for, family run vibe. Down a road just off of the high street, and far enough down that there was only the noise of wildlife to wake up to which was lovely, but close enough to the centre of Ella that we could walk there easily in 5 minutes!

Comfy bed and nice to have a duvet. Spacious room. The location is peaceful with nature around. It was lovely listening to the birds in the morning. A short walk will take you to the restaurants. Walking distance to the train station. Owner is very friendly and welcoming. We had an early morning train and had a lovely takeaway breakfast that we could enjoy whilst on the train.

Sometimes the shower was cold in the morning but in the afternoons it was hot.

Misty Elegance has clean, very reasonably priced, basic rooms. It is located in a peaceful area, not more than an 8-minute walk to town. It is good to know that when returning to the guesthouse at night it is a bit of a dark, uphill walk. Our room was a good size, nice & quiet. We had 2 good size beds with comfortable mattresses, a ‘wet bathroom', and a balcony with a couple of chairs & a small table. Internet was very good both in the room and in the common areas. The couple who run the guesthouse do everything possible to make your stay pleasant. At the train station the tuk-tuk drivers were not interested in taking us to Misty Elegance as it is close to the station and they wanted longer distance fares. To walk: Walk out of the station, to your left. Walk down the driveway past the playing field on your right. In a minute you’ll reach Police Station Road: Turn left & walk toward the police station. At the entrance to the police station compound, take the road to the right. (You’ll see a large sign on your left with the names of all the guest houses located on this road.) Walk up, down, & around till you come to it—it will be on your left up a short steep driveway. Good to know: Walk if you have a backpack; the road is too rough for rolling a bag with wheels.

A shelf for toiletries in the bathroom would have been helpful. We prefer 2 sheets on our bed rather than a bottom sheet & a (covered) blanket. We mentioned this to the couple who manage the guesthouse and they quickly gave us extra sheets-- they are a very helpful, kind couple.

We booked a room for five people here and it had everything that we needed. Comfortable beds, air con, a fan and towels. It was less than a 5 minute walk from here to the main strip and an added bonus was that when you walk back to the accommodation there are massage parlours and places to book tours/ taxis from not at the main street price. Owner very friendly also.

I regret that the other tourists are sometime noisy…so maybe think to remind the simple rule respect the calm for each traveler staying in the hotel ;)

The he rooms are clean, very spacious, great location which is very close to town but still quiet. The host is also extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone, great value for money!

Very good value for money, came with everything you would need. It’s very close to central Ella and the train station both being less than 3 mins away. The room comes with a balcony where you can smoke or sit. And there’s a fan inside to help with the heat.

The walls aren’t soundproof, and being so close to the center you can hear the music as well as the strays barking. The room also doesn’t come with a kettle or any complementary drinks.

We had very friendly and attentive hosts who made us great breakfast and helped us to find a driver. Nice and green surroundings, just a couple of minutes away from the main road.

Furniture had a bit of a funny smell and the bathroom wasn't in very good condition. Balcony was facing to the north so we didn't have a lot of sun. But still we had a lot of space in our room to leave our baggage. Felt like a safe place, too.
